Love The Beat Goes On

THE BLURB:

When your cardiologist tells you to “Get your affairs in order, your heart condition is incurable,” what do you do?
Lynda shares her personal story in the typical fast-paced, edgy, in-your-face style she’s known for in her writing. She will walk you through her journey to self-love sharing her belief in journals, love, prayer, soul, spirituality and positive mindset.
She’s hard-hitting but compassionate. She writes about romantic experiences that may shock you, but makes no apologies for her unconventional life style. Nor does she hold back taking responsibility for the things that she believes created her dis-ease.

You will definitely question a woman who walks around in denial; then makes a decision to drive, all alone, from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Whistler, Canada with undiagnosed Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Men and women are often self-care-challenged and Lynda was no the exception.

If you are fighting any kind of illness or dis-ease, you are not alone! Lynda has walked her talk, and after an experience in the summer of 2015 relating to Dr. Wayne Dyer, she is now ready to release her story

Lynda knows how it feels to be told you’re not healing or your condition is incurable. At no point will she undermine anything your physicians tell you to do. She is not a medical doctor. She will explain the powerful, yet simple concepts, beliefs, balance and faith that she believes led to her healing. Most of all, she will show you how she used these simple principles to design and live, the fully healed life she now enjoys in 2017.

You will shake your head in wonder, laugh, and maybe cry too. If you want less pain, worry, and stress about dis-ease and life in general, you will want to read this simple yet powerful story.

MY REVIEW:

I have read a lot of new-age books over the years and got something good from each of them, but this book by Lynda Filler is amazing. Her honesty about the journey from receiving a death sentence for an incurable disease to healing in a rainstorm while a Shaman beat on his drum is not just compelling, but astounding.

I loved every fragment of this story. She takes the reader through the full gamut of emotions while she seeks to heal her diseased heart for which the doctors had no cure. But, the lessons she learns, the incredible experiences she has, are inspired and inspiring.

I highly recommend Love The Beat Goes On to anyone who is seeking a higher level of consciousness, whether you are sick or healthy. Also, the resources she lists at the end of the book are invaluable. I have listened to some of the Shamanic healing videos by Akal (her Shaman guide in Sedona) and they take me instantly into a state of peace, of bliss. This is a book every human should read and take away the lessons given. If I could give it ten stars, I would. It’s that good.

“The author’s style is reminiscent of CLIVE CUSSLER, LEE CHILDS or BALDACCI.” N. Huff

Lynda Filler makes her home in sexy, sultry Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and writes both novellas, fiction, and non-fiction. She’s been accused of writing autobiographical stories, but so far no can get her to admit it! She’s been writing her whole life but only started publishing with the encouragement of NYT/USA Best Selling author Russell Blake of the popular JET series. When she is not in Mexico, she travels to the Pacific Northwest or Paris, France to visit her children. She loves to hear from her fans on FaceBook where you can find book news, crazy fun quotes, and photographs of both Mexico and Lynda’s travels.

  1. Lynda, you are an inspiration! Living with dis-ease can be challenging. You are an example for moving into higher consciousness and achieving healing. Your story is an amazing one that I know I’ll enjoy and appreciate ❤

  2. Lynda you said: …got excommunicated when marriage failed with husband who tried to smother you and you became less of a fan of the Catholic Church. This was me except I was choked.
“Never did drugs because I like to be in control”. That’s me exactly!
“I went to see my therapist once and told him I’d call him if I needed his services again”. Yep, me too.
” No one thing healed me”. Bingo.
“Big voice called my name twice in my life”. A voice called out my name twice in my life but I never understood it.
“Be a skeptic”. That’s my middle name.

You mirrored events in my life exactly and that is why I could relate to you and your story. You are a person after my own heart and bravo to you for not excepting what life threw at you. That’s why you survived.

Thank you for sharing your story and CONGRATULATIONS!!

    1. You’re not supposed to make me cry, Shirley!!! I’m so sorry you went through those things. I never saw myself writing some of the things I put in the story but a memoir takes us on a journey and relates events that we might never talk about. For some reason, it’s easier to write them. I LOVE that you felt some sense of connection. That’s what we’re all about. I loved your review also.

      1. Yes Lynda, it does take us on a journey. I got through my medical crisis by doing what you are doing. And I was so amazed at your story because I thought I was reading my own. Sometimes we have twin sisters in life who cross our paths for a reason. We were suppose to meet.

When I wrote Crazy Hot… I left out a lot because I was too traumatized and simply forgot some of it. The voices, the time he put his hands around my neck before making love to me (how sick is that?); being raped; I did mention the therapist that I said, “don’t call me, I’ll call you! and didn’t go back to see him; being excommunicated from the catholic church, all of the sordid details that you brought out.

I’ve been married to my present husband going on 34 years and he helped me get through PTSD. There were always angels around to help me. Just like you. We have to have them to get through some of the impossible situations we find ourselves in.

        Good luck my sister.

      2. I guess you and I shouldn’t monopolize this feed but I am stunned by your story. I can’t remember any part of what happened to me except what he actually did. I was 21. With all the crap about HWeinstein and now Terry Richardson, many things are coming back…like the lawyers for my divorce, 2 brothers that felt their fees should be sexual favors.. And the “beat goes on” and I could go on, but I won’t. I’m so happy you found “the one.” It’s hard to tell our stories. I have 12 books on Amazon, but this one, even more than my poetry, was so personal. By the way, my son read the last chapter because I posted it online. I cried writing that. But his wife said it was personal and wanted me to take it off my website!! I don’t think she realizes it’s in a published book!!
I actually got upset and responded to a reviewer who said my life was one of “passion and privilege!” I mean, it made for an artistic title but she was so condescending that I would have slapped her if she was in front of me!!! Not a very professional response to a snarky review, but that’s not the message at all. Last night I received a Messenger chat request from a woman who’d just been diagnosed with a heart problem. The doctor was rude to her, treated her like she was unimportant. I could feel her crying through the chat. She said my story saved her and gave her hope.
That’s all we can ever do, right? We must be the light–like Gwen Plano’s amazing story of healing–for those who have no voice. Thank you for your kind words. I never live in the past, but I had to go there to write an honest story so others could see that they too, could heal. Sending lots of love!
