I hate to admit that I have not voted in an election in over nine years. I swore I wouldn’t ever again, because I feel that we are only led to believe we have a voice. But, after this post and Willie’s song, I will be at the polls in November!
Thank you to the men and women who fought for and won my right to vote this November 6.
Thank you Victoria Claflin Woodhull, the first Woman to run for President, 1872
Victoria Claflin Woodhull,
“I come before you to declare that my sex are entitled to the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Victoria Claflin Woodhull

I shall not change my course because those who assume to be better than I desire it. Victoria Claflin Woodhull

A great reminder of the reasons to get out there and vote, even though it can, at times, seem pointless. Thanks for sharing, Jan.

I couldn’t agree more, Mark. When are we ever going to recognize that our two-party system is completely and irreparably broken? It is sad to me and yet I don’t see how I can do a darn thing about any of it.
