#Halloween Full Blue Moon

This Saturday, October 31st, some pretty phenomenal things are happening in the solar system, so I thought I’d share some of the coolness!

The Full Moon is in Taurus on Saturday. It not only falls on Halloween, but it is also a Blue Moon, which means it’s the second Full Moon in a month. This event is extremely rare! The last time we had a Full Moon on Halloween was in 2001, and the last time a Blue Moon occurred on Halloween was in 1944.

This might possibly be the last Halloween Full Blue Moon we see in our lifetimes.

It seems like a great opportunity to understand how we can harness and use this very special energy coming our way this week.

Having a Full Moon on Halloween could not be more perfect nor more powerful! In particular, this placement and Full Moon makes money manifestation and rituals all the more potent. However, as with most Full Moons, the energy is yours to harness as it may sit differently with everyone.

The Halloween Full Blue Moon is full of magic!

You can expect opportunities to present themselves anytime from Thursday through Monday. Next, the earthy Taurus energy can bring some extra romance, allowing us to indulge in fun to relieve stress. For us single folks, it might be a great time to indulge in a romance movie or book. 🙂

This event also marks a turning point for the 2020 forecast. As we wrap up the month celebrating, we are turning a corner towards what astrologers predict to be the best part of the year. (Oh my, we certainly hope so!)

Taurus takes us out of our minds and brings us back to our body, in the here and now. Let Saturday’s Full Moon help you find all the things we share in common to give the divisiveness a break.

We all like to laugh, spend time with friends, and eat our favorite candy!

This week’s astrology forecast outlook is positive because we are turning away from negativity and towards a time of celebration that will carry through the end of the year. Make time to have some fun and let your inner-child play this week.

You’ll find that there’s still much to be grateful for even in these challenging times.

Also, if you work with Crystals, or just have them in your home, put them outside so they can bathe in the intense energy of this moon. I’ve already set mine out in preparation.

Most of all, just have fun with this unique energy! I am looking forward to trick-or-treating with the grandkids!

#NewRelease – “A Score To Settle” @mike_torreano

I am super excited to share my blog space with an author who is new to me. Mike Torreano is a Wild Rose Press author and has an intriguing new book release to tell you about!

Take it away, Mike!

What inspired this story?

A Score to Settle is set on the Goodnight-Loving cattle trail in 1870 New Mexico Territory. I was drawn to this locale by the iconic western series, Lonesome Dove. Author Larry McMurtry used an incident in Lonesome Dove that paralleled something that actually happened on Goodnight-Loving. On an 1866 cattle drive, Oliver Loving was shot by Comanches near Fort Sumner, NMT. After he died, his partner, Charles Goodnight, carried out Loving’s last wish by wagoning him back home to Texas. To me, this is one of the Old West’s most famous legends and I decided to weave a story around it. Hence, A Score to Settle, which also features a strong romantic element throughout.

Excerpt:

Late afternoon rays warmed Rose as Kip built a sputtering fire. Her shivering quieted and feeling returned to her face. “Thank you for taking care of me.”

Kip grinned as he fed scattered wet kindling into the laboring fire. “Didn’t have a choice. Del would skin me if I didn’t.”

“You like him, don’t you?”

A nod. “There’s somethin’ about him. I don’t make friends easy and Del don’t seem to either, but we took to each other right off. He’s about as levelheaded as they come.”

“Yes he is and so are you.”

“Don’t know about that, but I never had a good friend. Don’t know if it was me or them. Del strikes me the same way.” Kip gathered some larger pieces and the fire popped as it went to work on damp wood. “And I know how much he cottons to you. Hard to miss the glint in his eye when he’s with you.”

Her heart jumped. “Does he say that?”

“Doesn’t have to. Easy to see.”

“Tell me about him, Kip. Tell me about Del. You’re like two peas in a pod. I don’t know much of anything, except for the misery he’s carrying.”

Book Blurb:

Broken after his family is murdered, rancher Del Lawson signs on to a cattle drive along the Goodnight Loving trail in 1870, unaware he’s still in danger. When he falls for a pretty Army nurse, the killers target her.

If he’s to recover from his grief and build a new life, Del must set out on a gritty hunt for the men who are hunting him.

Meanwhile, Del’s mother, Maybelle, doesn’t know her son survived that murderous night. When she discovers the gold the killers are after, she uses the treasure in an elaborate masquerade to take the murderers down.

Will mother and son’s plans reap justice-or destroy what’s left of the Lawson clan?

About the Author:

Mike Torreano has a military background and is a student of history and the American West. He fell in love with Zane Grey’s descriptions of the Painted Desert in the fifth grade, when his teacher made her students read a book and write a report every week.

Mike recently had a short story set during the Yukon gold rush days published in an anthology, and he’s written for magazines and small newspapers. An experienced editor, he’s taught University English and Journalism. He’s a member of Colorado Springs Fiction Writers, Pikes Peak Writers, The Historical Novel Society, and Western Writers of America. He brings his readers back in time with him as he recreates western life in the late 19th century.

#TarotTuesday – The Empress

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.

I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.

Today’s card is from the Major Arcana – The Empress.

The keywords for this card are: Femininity, beauty, nature, nurturing, and abundance.

The Empress signifies a strong connection with our femininity. Femininity translates in many ways – elegance, sensuality, fertility, creative expression, nurturing – and is necessary for creating balance in both men and women. The Empress calls on you to connect with your feminine energy. Create beauty in your life. Connect with your senses through taste, touch, sound, smell and sight. Draw on these senses to experience pleasure and deep fulfilment. Treat yourself to a day spa, learn massage, enjoy a fine restaurant or spend more time with your partner. Discover different approaches to expressing yourself creatively, be it through painting, music, drama or other art forms. This may be the perfect chance to take up a new hobby that enables you to access this part of yourself.

The Empress signifies abundance. You are surrounded by life’s pleasures and luxuries and have everything you need to live a comfortable lifestyle. You are in a period of growth, in which all you have dreamed of is now coming to fruition. When the Empress appears in your Tarot readings, take a moment to reflect on the bounty that surrounds you and offer gratitude for all you have created so you can continue to build on this energy and create even more abundance in your life.

As the Mother Earth archetype, the Empress urges you to venture out into nature to ground your energy and be in flow with the earth. Take a trip to your favorite natural setting, be it a forest, beach, mountain or lake, and sit for a couple of minutes, hours or even days to breathe in the energy that surrounds you while marveling in the beauty of your surroundings. Allow yourself the time and the space to enter a different frame of mind and receive the grounding spirit of nature into your heart and consciousness. When you do this, you can reach higher planes of consciousness.

When you are in tune with the energy of the Empress, you will naturally take on her mothering nature. You feel a strong urge to nurture and care for others, from a place of loving compassion and support. You see it as a gift and an honor to tend to others, and in doing so you, too, receive benefit. In a more literal sense, you may step into the role of ‘mother’, perhaps as the mother of a newborn, caretaker of other people’s children, or spending more quality time with your kids.

The Empress can also suggest pregnancy or birth. This may be an actual pregnancy or childbirth, or a metaphorical ‘birth’ of a new idea or project. Bring your creative ideas into being by nurturing them and supporting their growth. Allow those designs and their manifestation to flow through you, acting with compassion and love.

I don’t see any particular way this card applies to me that’s unusual or out of the ordinary, although I did treat myself to a massage today. 🙂 I’m always in a caretaking role. It’s what fits me best. I help take care of my grand girls on a daily basis and love nurturing and guiding them. On the other hand, the idea or birth of a new project is applicable in several different ways for me. How about you? Does this card speak to you in a loud and clear way?

Out of pocket

I am heading out of town for the weekend and will be away from computer access. I hate to miss all of your beautiful blogs, but will catch up as soon as I can when I return on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Joan, I will be in your neck of the woods on Caddo Lake. Maybe next time I come down, we can have coffee! 🙂

“Stuck” – New Release from Diane Windsor @motinabooks

I am happy to turn my blog over to a wonderful author I’ve recently met, Diane Windsor! She had some ultra-important information to share with you. The floor is yours, Diane!

Thank you, Jan. I am thrilled to talk about my new book, “Stuck,” here on your beautiful blog site!

When a child is diagnosed with pediatric cancer, no matter what kind of cancer, time stops. Everything changes for the entire family. There is no “normal” anymore. My youngest son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on June 20th 2018. Anything happening before that date was “before,” and anything after, of course, is “after.”

Brendan was 20 years old at the time, and very independent. He was living in another state completely on his own. We had been chatting on the phone pretty regularly, and he told me that he hadn’t been feeling great. Apparently, he was tired all the time. I thought his fatigue be the result of a little too much partying, but I held my tongue.

So, he went to a clinic for an examination. Based on a CBC (Complete Blood Count) test the doctor told him that he thought he had either lymphoma or leukemia and needed to get to the emergency room immediately. Brendan asked me to order an Uber for him because he didn’t have the money.

I bought a one-way plane ticket to Minneapolis so I could be with my kid. That was the beginning of the year and a half of cancer treatment. Plan A, or the frontline treatment, was chemotherapy. Chemo cures leukemia for many patients, but unfortunately, that didn’t work for us.

Plan B was a state-of-the-art immunotherapy known as CAR T cell therapy. Brendan‘s T cells are harvested from his bloodstream using apheresis. The T cells were then sent to a pharmaceutical company to be modified. After about four weeks they were re-infused into his system and these super cells would attack all of the leukemia cells. This worked beautifully for a while. Thirty days post-infusion he was in complete remission and there was no trace of leukemia cells in his bone marrow or bloodstream. After sixty days there was an indication that this therapy was no longer working and he would move to Plan C which was a bone marrow, or stem cell, transplant.

So at this point we are one year post diagnosis and into intensive cancer treatment. The chemotherapy has completely wiped out any immunity that he had to disease. All of his vaccinations have been wiped out. He is greatly immuno-compromised and very susceptible to any illness. I remember driving to clinic one day and we were listening to the local news on the radio. There was a report of a measles outbreak in a county in Texas. He looked at me with a worried expression on his face and asked, “Is that close to us?” Luckily it wasn’t, but he also knew that this measles outbreak was caused by the growing movement of not vaccinating children against childhood diseases. If a person who has a compromised immune system should contract the measles, chickenpox, pertussis, or any other childhood illness,.their body will have a much more difficult time fighting that illness then a healthy individual. It could potentially lead to sepsis, organ damage, and even death.

This is why childhood vaccinations and heard immunity are so incredibly important.

I’ve always been a pro-vaxx mom. When my oldest child was born in 1990 there was never any question about whether I would have him vaccinated or not. I never felt that I was blindly following with the pediatrician told me to do. I simply had a healthy respect for the opinions of medical professionals because of their education and experience. I had never even heard of the anti-vaxx movement until about the year 2010 when a coworker mentioned to me that vaccines had caused his son’s autism. I was puzzled since that was the first I’d ever heard of this phenomenon. I didn’t give that much more thought thinking he was just an outlier with that opinion. But as social media became more prevalent I realized that many people shared this opinion.

My son’s cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment really brought this home for me. It helped me understand how harmful this anti-science movement can really be to many thousands of people in our country.

I wrote the book STUCK, which is a young adult (YA) novel, with the hope that the younger generation will help turn this movement around. The story revolves around Cassidy and Angie, who have been best friends for many years. Angie is diagnosed with leukemia. Since Cassidy’s mom never had her vaccinated, she ends up getting the measles. Cassidy infects her friend, who doesn’t survive.

This is the real world for cancer patients. Herd immunity protects those who can’t be vaccinated. So, those who can be vaccinated should be.

#TarotTuesday – Page of Cups

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

If you are just joining me, let me explain the inspiration to begin these posts. In Texas, and all across the country, Taco Tuesday is a popular day when Tacos are usually 99 cents. So, I had the inspiration, or Angel nudge as I like to think of it, to create a Tarot Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will post a different Tarot card and give its meaning. I pray and ask for the right card that will bring a universal message.

I created a short video to demonstrate how I pull the card for the posts. If you’re interested, here’s a LINK.

Today’s card is the PAGE OF CUPS!

The Page of Cups suggests a new idea or opportunity has come to you out of the blue. Your creative energy is flowing, and now the question is how you will express it. Will you snap up this new idea and turn it into something, or will you let someone else bring it to fruition? It is up to you! Spend time exploring the idea to see if you want to move forward.

The Page of Cups invites you to have an open and curious mind. Be open to anything – including a fish popping its head out of a cup! It is with a curious mind that you will discover new aspects of life and yourself. Open your mind to all possibilities, especially those of a creative or intuitive nature, you will be pleasantly surprised. The Page of Cups is asking you to embrace your inner child and believe that anything is possible.

This card often appears when you are being called to trust your intuition and be open to the multitude of intuitive messages coming your way. Look for synchronicities and signs from nature that will guide you on your path. They may come from unexpected places, or they may not even make sense to your rational mind; be open to the possibility and ready to discover new aspects of yourself. It is like following ‘intuitive breadcrumbs’ – one intuitive clue leads you to the next thing, and the next, and the next. And before you know it, you have found yourself in a place of full alignment, happiness and bliss. All by trusting your intuition and going with the flow.

In a practical sense, the Page of Cups can indicate that you will receive an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The Pages are often known as the messenger cards, and with the Page of Cups, you may receive a message related to the emotions, intuition, or creative endeavors. It might be the birth of a baby, an engagement or marriage, a new love interest, or the offer of a new project. It is not a surprise you can anticipate or force; be ready to receive when the moment comes.

I absolutely love this card. I spend so much time in my imagination, and always have. This card tells me it’s okay and be ready when the fish pops out of the cup! 🙂 I’m working on my storyline for the third book in The White Rune Series, and I’m ready for that surprising fish! How about you?

As always, thank you for joining me! See you next Tuesday for another inspiring message from the Universe via the Tarot Cards!

#SundaySpotlight – Chaz Marie @chaz_marie

Welcome to another SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT! Today’s feature is a no-holds barred rockin’ female artist with a sexy sultry voice that makes her a force to be reckoned with.

It is my pleasure to turn my blog over to Chaz Marie!

Thank you, Jan, for allowing me a space to share my music, my passion and my story!

In the early 2000’s,  I cut a record with my sister Kessie, entitled the Marie Sisters.  After being turned down by everyone on Music Row twice in a six year period, we moved back home to Dallas from Nashville, thinking that was it.  Three months later, we secured a record deal with Universal Music Group New York.  Things were amazing at the time.  We toured with legends and newbies just like us.  Our record was way before its time. (It’s still out there).

I was always told, “You’re too soulful for country music, pull it back.”  But how do I change what I am? How do I change the voice that God gave me? I’m not good enough, I’m gonna ruin everything.  Those were the thoughts going thru my young mind.  What it came down to is a label who didn’t know what to do with us. It may sound crazy, but I’m grateful.  We had a blast, we lived a dream not many get the chance to live. One day, we woke up to a hot fax (inside media news) that said we had been cut from the label.  We were devastated.  Life as we knew it was done…but you pick up the pieces and you move on. My sis and I decided to part ways musically, but we remain very close today.

I couldn’t let the fire, or the passion for music leave my life.  It’s my first love.  I tried a couple of different music projects, that led nowhere.  So I decided to start a band in Dallas, Texas. I was tired of being the “female singer” in the band.  I knew I could offer a great show and great music all by myself – a standalone, female fronted original artist.  I started playing everywhere I could to promote myself.  It started building, and I knew it was getting better everyday.  I wanted so badly to record an original project. I made two attempts and the magic just wasn’t there. So, I kept booking and playing and have been consistently, for the last 15 years.

Fast forward….I had been trying to get Quinten Hope on a gig for a couple years, with no luck.  Then one day, 30 mins before I called him, his gig canceled and he was able to play with me on May 2, 2015.  That’s when everything just clicked.  We got engaged in August and married in Sept.  Fast track for sure. Lol! We started writing and working toward this project and well, here it is!

We got our friends Will Lee, Rob Arthur, Dan Wojciehowski, David Deshazo, Carson Wagner,  Milo Deering, Paul Harrington and of course Quinten Hope to put their magic on it.  We cut it all right there in Dallas, except for Will’s vocals. He cut those at his studio in NY and sent them over to us.  It’s quite the mix, as far as sound.  To be honest, I got tired of trying to release music under a specific genre. It’s hard to put creatives in a box….so I just recorded the music that was in me.  I wrote what was in me – what I felt.  That’s what this EP is.  FINALLY a project, I had complete control over artistically.  It feels good.  Quentin and I are Independent Music Artists.  We write, produce, record, finance, promote, book, etc… all on our own.  It’s not easy sometimes, but if it’s your passion, it never feels like work.  At least not to me.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll find on the EP we named, CHAZ MARIE!

#BookReviews! @JacqBiggar @howellwave @marciameara

It’s been a while since I’ve taken the time to post some book reviews, so I want to share these three recent books I’ve read.

The books and reviews are listed in random order.

THE BLURB:

James Wainwright picks up a hitchhiker and discovers two things 1. The woman he picks up is his childhood sweetheart, only Seventeen years older. 2. He is no longer of this world.

James began a road trip alone in his 1956 Oldsmobile. He stops for a hitchhiker only to discover she is his childhood sweetheart, Sam, who disappeared seventeen years before. James learns from Sam falling asleep miles back caused him to perish in a one-car accident. He also comes to understand that Sam was taken and murdered all those years ago, and now she has come back to help him find his eternal home.

The pair visit a number of times and places and are witness to a number of historical events. The rules dictate that they do no harm to the time continuum. Trying to be careful, they inadvertently come to the attention of Lucifer who would love to have their souls as his subjects. They also find a threat to human survival and desperately need to put in place the fix necessary to save mankind.

The question becomes, will James find his eternal home in grace or lose the battle with Satan for his immortal soul and the future of human life with it? If you like time-travel, adventure, mystery, justice, and the supernatural, this story is for you.

MY 5 STAR REVIEW:

I loved everything about this unique story by John Howell. When James dies in a single-car accident, he is met in the afterlife by a childhood friend who disappeared when they were in grade school, and her body was never found. She has taken the assignment of helping James adapt to the afterlife and find his eternal home. The adventures start when they experience time travel back to pivotal times in history, and all while still in the ’56 Olds that James crashed in the physical world. From the gunfight at the OK Corral to the Alamo, to a World War, James finds himself placed at strategic moments of time which facilitate self-discovery. He even has a face-to-face encounter with Satan himself. And in the midst of it all, Sam and James learn what it means to love someone. They even have love-making adventures, However, one of my favorite parts of the story is when Sam comes face-to-face with her murderer and he gets the justice he deserves at his own hand. If you are looking for a story that is different from anything you’ve ever read, have a fascination with a “what-if” scenario about the afterlife and love adventures, you will love this new book from Mr. Howell! It is well-written and fast-paced.

THE BLURB:

What happens when Miss Perfection clashes with Mr. Casual?
Chaos!

Georgina’s in trouble. The startup money she borrowed from her parents’ retirement fund is long gone and her dream of owning the next big thing in market-to-table cuisine disappeared with it.
Her only choice? Merge her company into the corporate giant, CLO, and hope she isn’t making a huge mistake.

Rhys Turner is his father’s progeny, born and raised to take over the empire when his dad deems him ready. Rhys doesn’t mind the fast-paced lifestyle, though he detests the coldblooded mantra of the corporation- Buy from the weak and sell at a profit.
It’s made his family millions. But now, just when CLO’s reins are within reach, he’s run into the one woman who could change everything.

A delightful mixture of women’s fiction, chick-lit, romantic comedy, and New adult, Perfectly Imperfect has something for every reader.

MY 4 STAR REVIEW:

This short entertaining story fits the classic – girl bumps into a handsome man, spills coffee all over his expensive clothes, then gets stuck in the elevator with him – scenario. Little does Georgina know that Rhys has come to squash her dream and sell her company. While the story was predictable from the first paragraph, I found it to be a quirky and entertaining read with a happy ending. It is well written and even has a puppy included. If you are looking for a quick read that will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling, you’ll like this story!

THE BLURB:

The archangel Azrael created his emissaries to help mortals avoid choices that would doom them for eternity. He hadn’t planned on the youngest member of the team falling in love with one. In Marcia Meara’s final installment of her Emissary Trilogy, a Riverbend spinoff series of novellas, we find our heroes facing a new problem, and it’s all because Dodger died before having a chance to learn what love was all about. His request that Azrael help him correct that situation causes a multitude of problems no one could have foreseen. Except the angel, himself.

MY FOUR STAR REVIEW:

I came into the Emissary Trilogy with this book, which was the wrap-up and now I am compelled to go back and read the first two. The theme of this part of the story is a young man’s urge to find and know true love. Jake and Dodge are the two main characters and Dodge falls head-over-heels in love with Juliet. But everything is complicated by the emissary work Jake and Dodge are put on earth to do. Archangel Azrael is the head of the emissary program and keeps a close eye on all of his workers. The way he popped in and out brought a touch of humor to the story. But the one scene that stands out in my mind is when Jake and Dodge were on a mountain and watched Azrael descend with his huge white wings and shining radiance. In my mind, I could see this clearly and it took my breath away. Another favorite scene was the intervention that took place between Dodge and a young lady on that same mountain who was resigned to ending her life. The lessons, the growth, and the maturing that took place through this segment of the story were fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to going back now and reading the beginning of this series.

‘Fiction In A Flash Challenge’ Week #20 NEW Image Prompt! Join in the fun! #IARTG #WritingCommunity #FlashFiction #ASMSG #WritingPrompts

Author Suzanne Burke posts a new writing prompt in the form of an image each week and the responses are absolutely amazing!

Each week she features an image and invites you to write a Flash Fiction or Non-Fiction piece inspired by that image in any format and genre of your choosing.  Maximum word count: 750 words.

This is my contribution. I want to give you a little background on this poem. When my late husband was dealing with such a difficult physical decline, during one of the many hospital stays, he developed pneumonia and I feared he might not live until morning. I held vigil throughout that long night and this poem came to me. I remember searching for pen and paper to get it down, and I remember the tears that fell as I scribbled it. I felt that I had to give him permission to let go and I did it through this poem. He lived for a few more weeks after this incident and did recover from the pneumonia.

I cannot tell you the reason this image invoked this memory, but it did, so I am sharing.

Surrender

There is no shame in surrender when it is time

Like General Lee, you’ve known when to lay low

and when to climb

I’ve watched you suffer for so many years

Your life seemed destined to one of pain and of tears

Yet you fought on – the valiant soldier in fierce battle

You sang your song, rode tall in the saddle

You’ve now come down to the last battle call

You’ll hang up your sword, tired and weary you’ll fall

But know that you’ve left many good marks behind

While you learned how to love and how to be kind

Taught lessons to all who shared your many paths

That will be remembered long after you have passed

There is no shame in surrender when it is time

Excerpt from ‘TIL DEATH DO US PART

I hope you enjoyed this and that you’ll check out Soooz’s blog and participate in the prompts as you can.

Thank you!

New Book Release – Mrs. Molony @virgilante

I am super excited to turn my blog over to C.S. Boyack’s personal assistant and robot girl, Lisa Burton, today and let her tell you about his brand new release – another Lizzie and The Hat adventure!

Oh my gosh, Jan. It’s so nice to be here. This is a place I always wanted to visit, and promo for this book is perfect. This is the third book in The Hat Series, and this time it involves the country music scene.

Lizzie and the hat are on the trail of two vampires. They’ve kidnapped this poor woman and are feeding off her like some kind of milk cow. Before joining the ranks of the undead, they were team ropers. Turns out old habits die hard.

The rodeo circuit, and country folks in general, aren’t immune to a good party. This provides a fertile hunting ground for these particular vampires. At a party, some country girl is always going to get a little too drunk, and wind up becoming one of their victims. If hunting is slow, they always have the woman at home.

Since Lizzie and the hat have a small cover band, it gives them access to various events where they do a little hunting themselves. This is no simple feat, because the rodeo circuit moves around. Vamps have to hole-up during the day, so they can’t realistically move too far.

The hat had to do a little research, and increase the playlist for Lizzie and The Pythons. Being a younger person, Lizzie wasn’t overly fond of country music and this leads to a bit of tension between them.

Fortunately, I set her up with some expanded wardrobe that allowed her to fit in as a country performer. This all happened somewhat casually in Viral Blues, which I played a part in.

I should tell you that Craig worked pretty hard to make sure people don’t have to read this series in order. There are little things that cross over, like the wardrobe stuff, but you really can go out of order without confusion.

I know you’re involved in the music business, so this should be a good topic for you. For each of his books, Craig sends me to spend time with Sean Harrington to create some promotional artwork. I know the stories and try to recreate scenes from the book. This one is a concert image from one of the musical appearances.

Your fans are welcome to use it as iPad screens, phone backgrounds, or whatever they like.

Now I’d better get to the links and such before Craig gets upset.

Blurb: Lizzie and the hat are back, and this time they’re chasing vampires across a subculture of America. A pair of rodeo cowboys are holding a woman captive to use like a milk cow since they joined the undead.

The person who put them onto the trail is also a vampire, but he has to be the worst vampire in history. Is he really that pitiful, or is he setting a trap for our heroes? Does the woman even exists? Can Lizzie and the hat find her before she also takes up blood sucking?

Follow Lizzie and the hat as they use their cover band to stalk vamps across the country music scene.
