RWISA: RAVE WRITERS - INT'L SOCIETY OF AUTHORS

Welcome to Day 9 and the conclusion of the RWISA “REVOLUTION” Blog Tour!  We’d like to introduce you to an amazingly supportive RWISA member, Author, Nonnie Jules, who is also the Founder of RRBC &RWISA.  Take a peek at her writing below…

A LIFE ISN’T WORTH LIVING IF NOT IN SERVICE TO OTHERS

I’d like to begin by thanking two of my fellowRWISAAuthors who were also on this tour, Joy Nwosu Lo-Bamijoko and Linnea Tanner, who both had the courage to write about, or reference the ills of our world, that many would like to keep deeply hidden.  I speak of hatred and systemic racism.  Again, thank you both for your courage to write with such substance and I hope that it is still resonating with all who read both of your pieces.  I am honored that your words are a continual ring…

  1. Nonnie, what a wonderful narrative about the book clubs that you founded. I have been a member of various clubs during the last ten years and have never known any of the other member’s names, let alone, enjoying their (non)support. In the short time that I’ve been a member of RRBC and RWISA, I’ve enjoyed supporting other members and learning more about them and their work. I’ve also discovered different genres, which I would normally not read, and found these stories most enjoyable. Lastly, the support I’ve been getting from other members is overwhelming, and the opportunities to learn more about this craft called WRITING is always available, thanks to Nonnie and other ‘wordsmith’ experts from the club. I look forward to continuing my support of fellow club members and promoting their work. Thank you, Jan for hosting our extremely hard-working founder. Our future is promising.

    1. You are so right, John, in that our future is promising. It’s amazing, isn’t it, how different “clubs” can be? We have more than a club. We have a community and we know each other’s names and thanks to Zoom, faces. We read and enjoy each other’s works and we all learn from each other. Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate you!

  2. Hi Nonnie, Hi Jan,
Nonnie, I like your statement that life is not worth living if it is not in service to others. Too many humans forget that they can take nothing with them when they leave this world. We forget that our service to others is what enriches our lives.

Jan, thank you so much for hosting Nonnie.

Wishing you both a lovely weekend.

    Shalom aleichem
