#MondayMotivation – #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

Welcome to the start of another week and a new month!

Wow! I love that!

Today’s meditation is new and different and it really energized me! I hope it works for you too!

I chose the tarot cards again this week to set the tone for the week ahead.

I love it when the tarot spread starts with new inspiring ideas! The Page of Swords is full of energy, passion, and enthusiasm. When this card shows up in a Tarot reading, you are bursting with new ideas and plans for the future. You may be excited about starting a new project, pursuing a new approach, or learning something new. The Page of Swords often emerges when you are exploring a new way of thinking or a different way of expressing yourself with others and communicating your ideas and opinions. If you are looking for a sign to move ahead with a new project, the Page of Swords says, ‘Go for it!’

The Queen of Swords represents independent thinking and unbiased judgment. You are open to hearing the thoughts and opinions of others, but ultimately, you filter that information to decipher what is true and what is not. When interacting with others, you will not tolerate mistruths or excessive ‘fluff’. You prefer to get to the heart of the matter without engaging in too much chit-chat or gossip. Direct communication and clear boundaries are at the root of this card’s meaning.

When the Two of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, it’s safe to say you are juggling your priorities, roles, and responsibilities. It often appears when you are busy, rushing from one thing to the next, with little downtime in between. You may tell yourself that you haven‘t got enough time or you’re in a rush. However, remember that you don’t have to be busy to get things done. Sometimes taking a break is the most productive thing you can do. (Wow!) The Two of Pentacles invites you to manage your time and your priorities carefully. Your workload is high right now, and to get everything done, you need to stay focused and productive. You may benefit from a ‘to-do’ list, better calendar management, and a stricter schedule.

My Takeaway: I love that the week starts off with encouragement to move forward. But then we get a reminder to practice unbiased and independent thinking and get ready for multi-tasking. When is that not the case for authors? The part about taking a break really hit home with me. I seldom give myself that luxury, so it’s a good reminder.

Your thoughts:?

What an inspiring Dragon Card this week!

  1. Hi Jan, what a great reading. I like all these cards very much. I am very busy right now and my physiotherapist told me to write lists of tasks to help control stress. It’s hard to explain to someone who is not in corporate finance how everything is urgent at the same time so it is impossible to list in order of importance and just becomes a switch off and work like a robot situation.

    1. Oh my, Robbie. I can only imagine. I do find task lists to be very helpful and thank you for making that suggestion. I’m happy you stopped by. Here’s to keeping everything in a balance! Hugs!

    1. Or was that a COVID Vaccine advertisement? 🙂 Just kidding. I have heard that so much and well, if it changes my DNA, so be it. Maybe it needs changing. Thank you for your comment!!

  2. I’m one of those people who prefers to get to the heart of the matter and not waste time. I also have to keep a to-do list or I’ll wander around aimlessly or read all day and accomplish nothing else, lol.

    1. For some reason, I pictured you as being a straightforward person, Teri. I find that mothers of boys tend to be that way more so than mothers of girls. Hm. There is an interesting psychological aspect of parenthood to research. But not today. 🙂 I relate to the to-do list. I’d love to wander around all day and read. That would be heaven! Thanks for stopping by!

  3. It seems each time you share a tarot reading, Jan, there are similarities between the cards. I know that doesn’t always mean something, but it’s neat. Almost like their meant to be together. ❤
I can definitely relate to a full plate. Still learning my new job, helping navigate life for my dad (memory/health issues), and getting married in April. Plus making time for the never ending creativity and my need for words.

    1. I think there are similarities between all of the cards in the deck, Marlena. Some just seem to fit together, so I understand what you are saying. I love it when I can get a flow or a picture from the three-card spread. Yes, my dear, you do have a full plate. It’s hard to step away without feeling guilty, but sometimes it is necessary. Thank you so very much for stopping by and congrats on the upcoming wedding!

  4. Wonderful reading, Jan. We all need to take care of ourselves and sometimes step back from the demands we face. Thank you for the reminder through your beautiful interpretations of the cards. 💗

    1. It’s true, we do. But I am horrible at doing that. I can preach it all day long, but then struggle to do it. I’m trying to learn. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by. I’m glad you enjoyed the post!

  5. This is a great reading! I am someone who expects nothing but the truth from those with whom I surround myself. It might be ugly, but honor me with the truth. My schedule has gotten extremely busy with my son’s track and flag football practices and games, but I am making a point to find “me” time at least twice a week. My soul needs rejuvenating, too. Lol! 🙂

    1. You are very smart to practice self-care, Yvette. Life does get busy and that’s just the way it goes. I’m still trying to learn that lesson at 70 years of age. 🙂 Maybe someday I will get it. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment!! Hugs!

  6. A great post and messages today. I try to remember to give myself a break and not at the point where I’m sick and its forced. I feel like a new project is just around the corner and I can almost see it. Thanks for another great reading, meditation, and dragon card which I associate with leader for some reason.

    1. That’s always exciting when a new story is peeking around the corner at you. 🙂 Kudos to you for staying aware of when you need a break. I’m still trying to learn that lesson. I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. I can see where you would associate the dragon card with a leader. It is a strong masculine force. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!

  7. Love the reading, Jan. Seems you and I are always juggling fifteen plates in the air at once. But I can see a clear path ahead so feeling better. The Page coming up is great news since I’m beginning a new book that’s somewhat different from my usual stories. Love the validation. Looks like I might have a break coming up so I’ll try not to fret that I’m not getting anything done. Glad you’re going to be off for Spring Break. Awesome! Loving your new story, Sister.

    1. It does seem like we are always juggling too much, sister. But it’s in our genes. All of us kids have it except for maybe Irene. I am so glad you are excited about starting a new story! That’s always a great feeling. Yes. I am glad to have a break coming up. I will be spending it with the kids and look forward to it. Thank you for stopping by, and I’m so glad you are liking the new story! Love you!

  8. I’ve been feeling pulled in too many directions, lately. So this is a timely reminder to step back and take breaks when needed. I think those are hard for A-type personalities, and in the world of writing, it is especially difficult. A good thought to start the week. I am excited about a project, so hopefully I can balance breaks with the rest!

    1. I laughed out loud when I read my horoscope for today and it basically validated the “pulled in too many directions” I’ve been feeling. I do have a break coming up next week and I plan to take full advantage of it. Maybe then I can come back renewed and refreshed. Thank you so much for leaving a comment, Mae. I can’t wait to hear about your new project!!

  9. I love this spread, Jan! The dragon card that reminds us to stand in our masculine power with wisdom is empowering. I’m reading two books right now, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” and “A Woman’s Guide to the LANGUAGE of Success”! Thanks for kickstarting March!

    1. Both of those books sound fabulous, Linda, especially the first one. I’ll look forward to your reviews on them. I’m so glad you enjoyed the tarot reading today. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! Here’s to the Ides of March!

    1. You just described me, Jill. I feel so guilty when I step away. Plus I think about how much I’ll have to catch up on when I step back in. But for the body’s and mind’s sakes, we need to force ourselves to do it. Thank you for your comment today!

    1. It’s so hard to give ourselves permission to take a break, especially when there’s a story burning inside. But I have found myself waking up exhausted even after a good night’s sleep and it’s because I never step away. A hard lesson to learn. I have a break coming up the second week of March as I’m going away with my family for some spring break fun. 🙂 Of course, I’ll take my computer, but just to keep up with emails and such. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment, Joan.
