#MotivationMonday – #Meditation #RuneReading #DragonOracleCard

Spring is just around the corner and St. Patrick’s Day is this week. Here are some Mythbusters about St. Patrick. The earliest images of Ireland’s patron saint show him wearing a dark blue, similar to the color of the former Irish flag, not the traditional green related to his day of celebration.

And St. Patrick isn’t even Irish! He was born in the year 387 at Kilpatrick in Scotland. As a teenager, he was kidnapped by Irish raiders and enslaved as a shepherd for several years. He attributed his ability to persevere to his faith in God.

I loved this meditation, and while it may not resonate with everyone, considering our world situation, I found it extremely powerful, comforting, and uplifting.

This may seem strange to you. I was drawn to the Runes for this week’s message, but specifically felt I was only to draw one. I follow those nudges. Here’s what I got.

EIHWAZ is associated with the yew tree, making it symbolic of both death and regeneration. The yew tree is highly toxic to both humans and animals, however is also considered the tree of life due to its evergreen nature. Eihwaz is similar to the Death card in the tarot deck.

Eihwaz indicates you have set your sights on a reasonable target and are well able to achieve your goals. There may be a slight obstacle in your path, and you are cautioned not to be overeager to move ahead. This may not be a time when you can influence outcomes and even a delay could prove ultimately beneficial.

No matter how bad things may seem, Eihwaz promises that things will turn around for the better. It can merely show a slight delay. This rune informs you that only through foresight, perseverance and right action can difficulties be avoided. Look ahead in your life. It’s always best to be aware rather than caught off guard.

Sometimes Eihwaz will herald the solving of a matter which has remained hidden for quite some time. Don’t resist changes that are underway. Instead, learn to go with the flow and be flexible. You may not be able to see it now, but what you are currently dealing with is paving the way for a new and improved situation.

I can relate to this on so many levels from a worldview to a personal one. It is a great time to request help from the Angelic Realm.

And now for another gorgeous dragon card.

    1. Yay! That’s wonderful. It’s always a good feeling to get a confirmation that we are moving in the right direction. And, I’m with you. I truly did not know St. Patrick wasn’t Irish. The things we learn. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Not kidding, the reading brought tears to my eyes. The second and third paragraph of the reading totally talks about my situation. I feel like the Hanged Man in the tarot since I cannot leave my employed job (which has become such a burden and mental stress) due to the fact that there is no one yet to fill my spot… and no one in sight so far. At the same time, my self-employed business begins to boom. I have so many ideas and am working on expansions. But I have too little time for doing what I want to do because I am busy with a job I don’t want to do. So, your reading was so encouraging and let me make peace with the situation… at least for now πŸ˜‰Thank you so much πŸ’–

    1. That is exactly what Eihwaz indicates. And that there is hope for a good outcome. That’s the best part. It is surprising to find that St. Patrick, even though he is the Patron Saint of Ireland wasn’t Irish. πŸ™‚ Thanks for stopping by, Jill!

  4. Wow, this rune is definitely meant for me. I’m experiencing a big delay and fretting over writing time lost. There’s nothing I can do about it except have patience and remember that slow and steady wins the race.

    1. I did think about you, sister, as I put this post together. You are so right. There is nothing you can do except have patience and allow your body to dictate what you can and cannot do. This too shall pass and soon you’ll be back at it like you always do! Thank you for stopping by. I love you!

I’ve been making small gains in that regard, but it’s slow progress. This was a nice reminder. Thanks, Jan.

    1. I love the dragon card too, Staci, and it is so befitting for all of us right now. It’s so hard not to resist change. And it’s a life lesson we all have to experience again and again. But if everything stayed the same, what a boring life it would be. Thank you for your comment and I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

  9. How eerie that your dragon card speaks of the world conflicts taking place right now! Even more eerie is that the rune is a backward Z (Z is the symbol that Russia has embraced). So, I imagine this rune can almost symbolize Ukraine’s situation, especially when you wrote, “No matter how bad things may seem, Eihwaz promises that things will turn around for the better.” Very fitting reading for this week, Jan! πŸ™‚

    1. I felt that strongly, Yvette. Thank you for voicing it. I agree that the dragon card is exactly what the world is in need of right now. I did not make the connection with the Z symbol, but you are so right. It brings comfort to believe everything will turn around for the better. Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a fabulous week ahead!

  10. An interesting choice, Jan, and it does feel appropriate to the world situation. A very important time to consider right action and make wise choices. You’ve had an intensely busy release, so it makes sense to take some time to regroup. Thanks for sharing your rune and the lovely meditation. Hugs. ❀
