I am excited to share this gorgeous stone with you. I purchased it on our Spring Break trip last week and am completely in love with it. It is sitting on my altar.
Citrine has so many amazing properties. I believe there is always a reason you are drawn to a particular stone and as I looked at it in-depth, I understood the reasons why. Ironically, my twelve-year-old grandson also bought Citrine at the same shop.
Citrine is one of the stones of abundance. It can teach us how to manifest and attracts wealth and prosperity, success, and all good things. It is a happy generous stone and encourages sharing what you have and yet helps you hold onto your wealth creating a beautiful balance.
Psychologically, Citrine raises self-esteem and self-confidence. It enhances individuality, improves motivation, activates creativity (Yay!), and encourages self-expression. It can make you less sensitive to criticism and encourages acting on constructive criticism.
Mentally, Citrine enhances concentration and revitalizes the mind. It promotes inner calm so that wisdom can emerge. It aids in digesting information, analyzing situations, and steering them in a positive direction. It can be a powerful tool in overcoming difficulty in verbalizing thoughts and feelings.
Emotionally, Citrine promotes joy in life. It helps you move into the flow of feelings and become more emotionally balanced.
Physically, Citrine imparts energy and invigoration to the physical body.

I have a bracelet with two small citrine stones on it but this is my first bigger piece. And I only paid $2.50 for it. What a bargain for so much magic!

Hi Jan, this sounds like a really excellent stone. I am enjoying learning more about these qualities of various stones from you. This quality “Mentally, Citrine enhances concentration and revitalizes the mind.” really caught my attention. I think I should gift one of these stones to everyone I work with. I just had a big rant at my husband about how people just don’t listen and hear.

Beautiful stone, Jan. Is the larger one part of a geode?

It could be. When you crack open a geode, you never know what you’ll find inside, but the most common are Amethyst and Crystals. I definitely could see this as being inside a geode. Thanks for stopping by!

Fantastic, I love it and have a citrine. Would you say it would be a good stone for my heroine Amelina to use on her quest to find the owner of the crystal cottage. Currently working on the beginning chapters of book 3 and could do with some help in choosing an appropriate crystal Jan. Any suggestions? x

Oh, most definitely, Marje! It would be a wonderful stone for Amelina to use. I think it’s wonderful to instill magical powers in stones for any story. Amazonite is another great stone to aid in finding lost or missing things. Also, the Angel Chammuel is the one to call on for assistance in finding lost things. 🙂 Hope that helps. Best wishes!

What a beautiful stone, Jan…I had a citrine ring which loved it was as someone said like sunshine until someone else decided they would relieve me of it alongside my other jewellery…maybe one day I will get another …

That’s beautiful and how cool not only you but your grandson was drawn to it. A perfect one to sit on your alter. I use got a rock identification apps and have been finding out what all the rocks and crystals are I have collected over the years. I have a lot. It’s one of the few times I’m willing to pay for an app 🙂

I have looked at that app and decided I had enough books that I didn’t need to pay for it, but how cool. That one, and the one that identifies plants are very intriguing to me. So the energy of the stone is that of multiplication. I have a larger citrine lace and I like it a lot. The stone looks like a drop of the sun and so it generates joy and things that warm the heart. Thank you for this explanation, Jan!

Another cool fact about Citrine as it is one of the few stones that never needs to be charged. It is pretty amazing and how wonderful that you have a citrine lace. It does look like a drop of sun. I just love it!! Thanks for your comment!
