Welcome to another Monday post. Today’s theme seems to be all about making choices.

The Tarot reading for the week ahead focuses on exposing darkness and illusions and celebrating!

The Devil card focuses on our shadow selves – the negative part of us we don’t want anyone to see, that holds us back from being the best version of ourselves. The Devil card often appears when you have been tricked into thinking you have no control over your shadow self or these negative forces and that you can never break free from their hold. When this card shows up in a reading, see it as an opportunity to bring these negative influences into your conscious awareness, so you can then take action to free yourself from their hold. Shine your light on the negative patterns that have been standing in your way for so long, and over time, you will loosen the grip they have on you.
The Moon can indicate a time of uncertainty and illusion—when nothing is what it seems. Be careful of making fast decisions when The Moon appears because you may later realize you only had half the information you needed. You need to listen to and trust your intuition so you can see beyond what is in front of you. Feel into situations rather than thinking about what they mean. Let go of your conscious mental blocks or negative self-talk and allow your intuition to guide you. Your dreams, intuitions, and inner guidance will lead you forward toward higher levels of understanding if you listen and use your judgment to help interpret the messages of the subconscious.
The Three of Cups is a card of celebration, friendship, sisterhood, and creative collaborations. Your friends and family are here to support you and lift you up to even higher levels of success. Celebrate with them and enjoy their camaraderie. The Three of Cups often indicates a very sociable period. This card also invites you to collaborate with others on a creative project and inspire one another to reach new heights. Collectively, you are working towards a common goal for the greater good of others. This is a very creative card, suggesting that you may pursue a creative outlet within a group environment.
MY TAKEAWAY:
When we think we have no control over our shadow selves, we get stuck in negative and destructive patterns. But we always have a choice, and if we listen to our intuition, choose the higher path, shine a light on the darkness, and let go of negativity, we get to enjoy a celebration of friendship, joy, and possibly creative collaborations.
And now for another lovely Dragon Card!

Oh, the ominous devil fits in well with this turbulent retrograde. 🙂 x

Oh dear, I don’t really like the sound of that Devil card. In retrospect, after the week that has just been, it feels a bit like an omen.

Interesting, Jan. “Be careful of making fast decisions when The Moon appears because you may later realize you only had half the information you needed”–I like that.

It’s hard to make a solid decision when we don’t have all the information, although, at times, we don’t know that there isn’t a full disclosure yet. Thank you for stopping by!

Jan–Interesting tarot reading. Though I think of myself as being analytical, my best decisions are often based on intuition. Good advice on letting go of negative thoughts.

This card seems like an opportunity to choose a different path and kick a bad habit to the curb. Not being a victim is a much healthier way to approach life.

I have been really fighting that negative shadow self, when I realized I needed to go go back to my intuition, or my intuition got loud enough for me to hear 🙂 I love the dragon card and connected to tbe message. Great reading, Jan.

It’s so easy to let the negative shadow self rob of us our joy. But once we are aware, it usually fades back into the background. Thank you for your wonderful comment. Hugs!

Jan, I love your quote at the top. What we do today most certainly creates tomorrow. Ernest Hemingway said much the same thing–that today determines tomorrow. Not sure what to make of the reading or how it applies to me as I embark on a new, unfamiliar path. It’s scary. At the same time, I have confidence that I can do whatever I must. Thank you for the reading, the meditation, and little dragon. I need all the wisdom I can get. Love you, Sister.

Thank you for stopping by, sister. I’m glad you enjoyed the post, and sometimes we don’t know how a reading applies to us until later when looking back. I also have confidence that you have the ability and strength to do whatever you must. It’s in our DNA. 🙂 Have a great week! Love you!

Great opening quote, Jan.
Do you draw the dragon cards, or do you select them specifically to match your tarot draws? This one is lovely.

I’m glad you like the quote, Staci. I randomly draw the dragon card the same way I do the tarot cards. I shuffle them until one pops out. 🙂 I have to trust the Universe to give us what we need, and am often amazed at how it all flows together. Thank you for stopping by!
