#MondayMotivation – #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

I have missed my regular Monday posts. July was a whirlwind month with two trips AND finding my new book up on Amazon for pre-order. I look forward to some routine weeks ahead and back to working on my WIP, which has been sadly neglected.

I’m not a worrier. I think I got that from my mom. I’ve heard her say a hundred times, “I’m not going to worry about it. If I can fix a problem, I will, and if I can’t, then I won’t worry about it.”

That’s not to say if you are a worrier, you are wrong. Worry has its place and can be a good motivator. From that, the theme this week is letting go of things you cannot change.

Here’s a short but beautiful meditation to help let go.

I returned to the tarot cards this week for guidance for the week ahead. Here’s what I got.

The Knight of Swords is all action. He is ambitious, action-oriented, driven to succeed, and fast-thinking. I could use some of that energy about now. You are so highly motivated to succeed that you will stop at nothing to pursue your dreams. The challenges, difficulties and obstacles on the path ahead don’t faze you because you know where you want to go. Move forward with sheer strength and determination to make things happen. The downside of the fast-thinking, quick-acting Knight of Swords is that sometimes you act too quickly and haven’t thoroughly thought things through.

The Three of Swords can represent a deep hurt or disappointment. Following on the heels of the reckless knight, it is an admonition to slow down and look at where you are going to avoid any loss or setback. It may also represent an emotional release. Maybe you’ve held something pent up for a while. This is a go-sign to let it all out. The good news is that because it is a low number (3), this is a short-lived setback. And you will come out on the other side stronger and wiser.

The Magician card is self-explanatory. When you think of a Magician, you often think of the tools he uses to create his illusion. In this same sense, we have all the tools we need to create a profound magic in our lives.  Seriously, everything you need right now is at your fingertips. You have the spiritual (fire), physical (earth), mental (air) and emotional (water) resources to manifest your desires. And when you combine them with the energy of the spiritual and earthly realms, you will become a manifestation powerhouse! The key is to bring these tools together synergistically so that the impact of what you create is greater than the separate parts. This is alchemy at its best!

MY TAKEAWAY:

You may feel inspired, fired-up to take action right now as the ideas are coming fast and furious. But you are warned to slow down, take a realistic look and then go create your own magic!

The Dragon Card today is so inspiring to me! It goes hand-in-hand with the Knight of Swords.

Fire and Water Dragon. Enables your life to flow with loving force. Prepare for change and to move forward quickly. Expect the unexpected. Have fun!

  1. I’m a professional worrier, lol, so I totally get you. I’ve listened to quite a few videos this weekends with tarot readings. Seems a time to begin the letting go process is being called on. Great read! ❤

  2. I am like you and your mom, not a worrier. I can’t waste energy on things that I can’t control. A lesson learned early in life. I believe we need to craft our future and worrying about what might be doesn’t help me at all.

  3. As a big-time worrier, I like your wisdom on this subject. I have improved at not stressing over things that are out of my control.

    1. It doesn’t do any good to stress over things we cannot control. Instead, we can focus our energy on things we do have control over and make our little corner of the world better. Thank you so much for stopping by, Pete!

  4. I love what your mom said. I worry easily but practiced exactly what your mom said, and I improved my attitude a lot.
I love your take on the reading. My first thought was: “Go for your dreams, don’t let anyone hold you back, and don’t be discouraged by setbacks. They are part of the journey. Believe in your dream and you can make the impossible possible.” It is stunning how one reading can have slightly different messages regarding the person that looks at it. I love Tarot!

    1. Thank you for sharing your take on the reading, Erika. I love it, and yes, it definitely fits! We are so often discouraged by setbacks, but if our dream is strong, the magic is there to manifest it. I love that you have learned not to worry about things you cannot change. It makes life more peaceful and purposeful. I love Tarot, too!! Thank you for stopping by!

      1. Yes, not (or less) worrying distances from the problem and therefore we don’t identify with the problem anymore. It is so healthy and liberating. Much more peaceful indeed.
You are so welcome and I thank YOU. Much love to you, Jan!

  5. Reblogged this on Pattys World and commented:
This is the 3RD reading I’ve read today which had this theme.
Since we’ve just had a new moon, which signifies releasing and renewing as well as setting new intentions, I’d say the universe is telling us something.
Thanks Jan for your affirmation to this continuing theme.
    Love the dragon card.
Water and Fire are my two highest powers when using the elements.

    1. I did too, Denise. It just fit what I needed at the moment and the visualization was a wonderful break from the oppressive heat in Texas. Thank you for stopping by! Have a great week ahead!

  7. What a good reading, Sister. It’s almost too good to be true which makes me a bit skittish. However, I do feel a lot of momentum in my life right now that’s pushing me forward. I think I tend to worry more than you and I’ve been envious of your ability to release things. 🙂 Blessings and love.

    1. I think you inherited Aunt Evelyn’s worrying gene, sister. But you’ve gotten lots better at letting go over the years. I do see that you have a lot of momentum right now. It’s time to make some magic! Your readers will love it! Have a great week! Love you!

    1. That is so true, Jill. We can spend precious energy worrying about something that hasn’t happened or may not happen. So much to learn in life I am glad you enjoyed the reading Thank you for stopping by. Happy Monday!
