#MondayMotivation #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

Happy Monday, beautiful souls! I enjoyed my short blogging break and am back in the saddle. I have a lot coming up this week, including announcing the winners of the Saddled Hearts Blog Tour Scavenger Hunt, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, isn’t this an incredible quote? People who are imprisoned find freedom when they realize this.

What a fantastic meditation this is! I could easily recommend this as a daily go-to!

Back to the tarot cards this week.

The Ten of Pentacles is a beautiful card of abundance. While Pentacles are mainly associated with earthly wealth and financial security, they can also indicate an abundance of health and/or love.

This card reflects permanence and creating a lasting foundation for future success. It is a card of commitment to a sustainable future, taking into consideration not just the short-term gains of a particular venture but also the long-term benefits. A consistent approach will achieve success that will last the test of time. The Ten of Pentacles indicates that you feel compelled to share your success with others to make sure they are well cared for, too. It is also a sign that family is very important to you. Being surrounded by the people you love and who share your DNA and ancestry brings you great joy and happiness. You are also strongly connected to your family history and heritage, a part of the long lineage that goes before you. It represents tradition, being a part of something bigger, and realizing that the blood of your ancestors flows through your veins.

It seems that we just recently had the Knight of Swords, and feel like the card needs minimal explaining. It is a card of action. Swords represent the intellect or mind.

When the Knight of Swords appears in a Tarot reading, it is a sign that you are highly driven, ambitious, and action-oriented. You are so highly motivated to succeed that you will stop at nothing to pursue your dreams. The challenges, difficulties, and obstacles on the path ahead don’t faze you because you know where you want to go. Move forward with sheer strength and determination to make things happen.

The Knight of Swords suggests that you are quick to take action and tend not to plan ahead, instead preferring to dive right in. You thrive on high levels of energy that propel you forward and inspire you to take action to manifest your goals.

The Emperor represents a powerful leader who demands respect and authority. Status, power, and recognition are essential to you, and you are most comfortable in a leadership role where you can command and direct others. As a leader, you rule with a firm but fair hand. You have a clear vision of what you want to create, and you organize those around you to manifest your goal. You listen to the advice of others, but you prefer to have the final say. Conflict doesn’t scare you, and you won’t hesitate to use your power to protect those you care about. And in return, those people will repay you with the loyalty and respect you deserve. Claim your authority as a leader and influencer, and don’t let others put you down.

The Emperor reflects a system bound by rules and regulations. You create law and order by applying principles or guidelines to a specific situation. Create calm out of chaos by breaking down any problem into its parts and then mapping out the actions you need to take to resolve it. Be systematic, strategic, and highly organized in your approach, and stick to your plan until the end.

MY TAKEAWAY:

For those of us here in the U.S., we are just coming off a family-oriented holiday with an abundance of food and love. So to me, that is represented by the Ten of Pentacles. The Knight is all about moving forward…Taking an idea and running with it while the Emperor reminds us to stay within the bounds of rules and regulations with a strategic and organized approach to any project with a determination to see it through.

This little dragon may have shown up before, but if so, he’s making another appearance. He is so inspiring and beautiful and pretty much goes hand-in-hand with the Knight of Swords!

Fire and Water Dragon. Enables your life to flow with loving force. Prepare for change and move forward quickly. Expect the unexpected. Have fun!

Friday Free For All! #Dreams

Happy Friday! We’ve made another week. Today is the last stop on the Saddled Hearts blog tour, so I hope you will visit me at Erika Kind’s place.

Yesterday, myself and a couple of my Story Empire colleagues were talking about sleep patterns, then we got sidetracked talking about dreams.

What are dreams? Dr. Derup, a behavioral sleep medicine expert, says this, “Dreams are mental imagery or activity that occur when you sleep.” That’s pretty simple. But to me, they are so much more.

Freud thought dreams were repressed content, ideas, or themes. Jung’s idea of what dreams are is deeper and more objective since the archetypes that caused dreams were collective, universal, anatomical, or biological, and therefore objective and empirical. Jung thought dreams are something that you carry from your ancestors.

Hmm. Could be, I suppose.

To the Native American people, dreams were an essential conduit for communication with the supernatural world. I buy more into that theory than any other. The dreamcatcher originated with the Ojibwe tribe, and they believed it would trap bad dreams and let good dreams come through.

I’ve always been fascinated by the dream world and have dreamed ever since I can remember. They say everyone does, but not everyone remembers their dreams. And there are different types of dreams. Most often, our dreams are made up of the subconscious mind processing things from our day.

Then there are lucid dreams, where you are asleep but aware that you are dreaming. In Dan Antion‘s new books, The Dreamer’s Alliance Series, one of his characters has lucid dreams and even learns how to manipulate them for the outcome he wants.

I can’t say I’ve ever had that exact experience where I manipulated a dream, but I have definitely experienced being aware that I was dreaming. I have had dreams where I am flying low and close to the ground, but really fast, and when I have those dreams, I wake up feeling a tad bit dizzy.

But probably the most bizarre dream I’ve ever had was one where I dreamed I laid down on a bed and went to sleep. When I awoke, I was so disoriented and unsure if I was awake in my dream, or awake in my real world. I’ll never forget that. It was a very strange feeling.

I’ve had a dream interpretation book since the seventies, so it’s something I’ve always been fascinated with. You can tell by the photo the book is well-worn.

I’ve dreamt about loved ones who have passed on. Then, on the other hand, I’ve had visits from loved ones who have passed on, and there is a distinct difference between the two. When you have a visit, you know you’ve been with that person. Often, there will be a lingering fragrance or touch after you awake. When I experience visits, I often awake with tears on my cheeks.

Dream interpretation is as broad as the dreams themselves.

For example, here are some of the basic dream interpretations in my book:

To dream of wild animals is generally a good omen pertaining to business.

Dogs in dreams are a good omen and often represent friends.

To dream of being naked indicates a stroke of money luck.

By the same token, to dream of feces, symbolizes wealth.

Obstacle dreams are very common, where you are having to squeeze through tiny openings or climb narrow ladders, and those dreams indicate frustration about not reaching a goal in real life.

I could go on and on, but I won’t. Do you have a recurring dream? One that you still think about regularly? My late husband had a recurring dream where he was living in the 1800s, wearing a coat and top hat, and he played upright bass. In real life, he never tried to play the bass. He often thought that dream might have been a glimpse at a past life. Who knows?

Let’s talk about dreams. Do you have one you’d like for me to look up in my trusty book?

Next week is Thanksgiving week in the U.S., and I will be taking a blogging break to spend time with family. I’ll try to visit your blogs as I can, but I won’t post anything more until after the holidays. If you celebrate Thanksgiving, I wish you and yours a wonderful time!

Today, we get to visit two places.

Marlena Smith Burris is a long-time friend and one of the nicest women you could ever want to meet. She never has an unkind word to say about anyone. She is positive all the way. And she is an author. Her most recent release is a novella, The Power of Love.

Blurb: She only wants a fresh start and a life away from the big city.

Scarlet finds herself in the small town of Belmont, Montana. It’s a quiet town with a lot of charm. One she didn’t expect to fall in love with, but it offers something magical.

Will her past catch up to her? Will she be forced back into the life she hates? Will she risk everything for a chance at love?

The next stop today is at fellow Wild Rose Press Author, Darlene Fredette‘s blog site. I recently featured Darlene’s newest release, Derailed Hearts, here on my blog, and in case you missed it, you can find it HERE.

Isn’t that a fabulous book cover? It makes me want to grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up with the book.

I’d be honored if you’d pick up these books today, then head on over to the blog posts!

Only three more days of this tour. It has been amazing visiting with so many folks along the way and the wonderful lady who is hosting me today is someone I greatly admire. Annette Rochelle Aben. She is a communicator, wordSmith, artist, guide, mentor, muse, and one heck of a poet. I love her daily Angel Messages. They are always uplifting.

And for the entire month of November, she is featuring an “Attitude of Gratitude” post daily. What are you grateful for?

One of her most recent books, Tell Me A Story in 99 Words, is such a compelling read!

Here’s my Review:

I’ve been a fan of Annette Rochelle Aben’s poetry for quite a few years, and when I saw she had published a book of flash fiction, I knew I was in for a treat. And a treat it is! Anyone who is a writer knows what a challenge it is to write a story in 99 words. The writing has to be concise and tight, and that is exactly what Ms. Aben managed to do. I found stories with humor, satire, wisdom, the complexity of the human mind, and family. A few stood out to me personally as favorites. “Advancement” is so insightful about a strong woman, as is “Eyes Forward.” “Bedfellows” is such a realistic story about a girl with too many brothers and an abusive father. “Cash For Cars” moved me. “Drops In The Bucket” relates the daily grind cycle in which rewards are small. I’d venture to say there is a story for everyone in this collection. It’s a quick, easy read and is so well-written. I highly recommend this book.

So grab your copy and meet me at Annette’s place!

It’s Monday and the start of a new week of touring. I have to offer up a huge Thank You to everyone who has followed along. I hope you’ve had fun!

Today we are visiting at Linnea Tanner‘s place. I met Linnea many years ago through a book club and loved the first book in her multi-award-winning Apollo’s Raven series and loved it. She has the unique ability to transport the reader back to Medieval times and put you in the middle of all the action. And, she has a new book just added to the series, Skull’s Vengance.

A Celtic warrior queen must do the impossible—defeat her sorcerer half-brother and claim the throne. But to do so, she must learn how to strike vengeance from her father’s skull.

So, once you’ve grabbed your copy, saddle up your pony and ride on over to Linnea’s! See you there!

    #Monday Motivation #Meditation #OracleCards

Good morning. As I had announced on my blog post Friday, today’s regular post is modified due to my being away from home at my daughter’s house for the past five days. But, nevertheless, the Universe is not tied to a location, and I love what came through to share with you. This quote from inspiringquotes.com made me stop and think.

I may have shared this short meditation before, but if so, sharing again. It is beautiful!

My daughter has a deck of Energy Oracle Cards and that is what I drew from for today.

When I pulled, two cards came out together. Notice the synchronicity of the numbers, 11 and 22. I’m telling you, you simply can’t make this stuff up!

First of all, I was struck with the connection to the eleventh month and Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. And the #22 card actually came out on top, so going to start with it.

    Here’s what the book said.

The Yin/Yang card represents energetic life cycles, and its purpose is to help you identify the particular cyclic energy moving into or out of your experience. It heralds a yin cycle where most of the action seems to be happening under the surface of things. This is a time of great receptivity and gestation. External circumstances may be forcing you to go within and examine present activity. It’s a good time for completion and wrapping things up.

For the #11 card, the keywords are “wishes fulfilled.”

An abundant harvest and great blessings are waiting for you, and you may even find all your wishes fulfilled. You’ve done important work and it’s about to pay off. The seeds you’ve planted in your energy and your life are ready to be harvested in some significant ways. Get ready for a great feast of abundant value is being prepared for you now and Spirit is applauding all your effort!

Wow! I love all of this and hope you can see the connection between the two cards. The harvest follows wrapping things up. Seeds planted and now it’s harvesting time.

I hope you enjoyed this little modified post. I’ll return next Monday with my regular one. For now, make it a great week!
