Happy Monday, beautiful souls! I enjoyed my short blogging break and am back in the saddle. I have a lot coming up this week, including announcing the winners of the Saddled Hearts Blog Tour Scavenger Hunt, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, isn’t this an incredible quote? People who are imprisoned find freedom when they realize this.

What a fantastic meditation this is! I could easily recommend this as a daily go-to!
Back to the tarot cards this week.

The Ten of Pentacles is a beautiful card of abundance. While Pentacles are mainly associated with earthly wealth and financial security, they can also indicate an abundance of health and/or love.
This card reflects permanence and creating a lasting foundation for future success. It is a card of commitment to a sustainable future, taking into consideration not just the short-term gains of a particular venture but also the long-term benefits. A consistent approach will achieve success that will last the test of time. The Ten of Pentacles indicates that you feel compelled to share your success with others to make sure they are well cared for, too. It is also a sign that family is very important to you. Being surrounded by the people you love and who share your DNA and ancestry brings you great joy and happiness. You are also strongly connected to your family history and heritage, a part of the long lineage that goes before you. It represents tradition, being a part of something bigger, and realizing that the blood of your ancestors flows through your veins.
It seems that we just recently had the Knight of Swords, and feel like the card needs minimal explaining. It is a card of action. Swords represent the intellect or mind.
When the Knight of Swords appears in a Tarot reading, it is a sign that you are highly driven, ambitious, and action-oriented. You are so highly motivated to succeed that you will stop at nothing to pursue your dreams. The challenges, difficulties, and obstacles on the path ahead don’t faze you because you know where you want to go. Move forward with sheer strength and determination to make things happen.
The Knight of Swords suggests that you are quick to take action and tend not to plan ahead, instead preferring to dive right in. You thrive on high levels of energy that propel you forward and inspire you to take action to manifest your goals.
The Emperor represents a powerful leader who demands respect and authority. Status, power, and recognition are essential to you, and you are most comfortable in a leadership role where you can command and direct others. As a leader, you rule with a firm but fair hand. You have a clear vision of what you want to create, and you organize those around you to manifest your goal. You listen to the advice of others, but you prefer to have the final say. Conflict doesn’t scare you, and you won’t hesitate to use your power to protect those you care about. And in return, those people will repay you with the loyalty and respect you deserve. Claim your authority as a leader and influencer, and don’t let others put you down.
The Emperor reflects a system bound by rules and regulations. You create law and order by applying principles or guidelines to a specific situation. Create calm out of chaos by breaking down any problem into its parts and then mapping out the actions you need to take to resolve it. Be systematic, strategic, and highly organized in your approach, and stick to your plan until the end.
MY TAKEAWAY:
For those of us here in the U.S., we are just coming off a family-oriented holiday with an abundance of food and love. So to me, that is represented by the Ten of Pentacles. The Knight is all about moving forward…Taking an idea and running with it while the Emperor reminds us to stay within the bounds of rules and regulations with a strategic and organized approach to any project with a determination to see it through.
This little dragon may have shown up before, but if so, he’s making another appearance. He is so inspiring and beautiful and pretty much goes hand-in-hand with the Knight of Swords!

Welcome back from your break Jan. I’ll claim these cards for sure. ❤

I’m just getting back from a blog break as well. With the holidays and all we do, sometimes we just need to step back.
The dragon for me symbolizes what is to come with the Christmas season.

Oh, I love that Michele! I didn’t relate the little dragon to Christmas, but yes, I can see it! Glad you had a little break, too, and hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. Thanks for stopping by!

I couldn’t agree more, Carol. Sometimes we simply need to step away. And isn’t it shocking to realize that the world doesn’t stop turning when we do? 🙂 Thank you for visiting!

I appreciate the Emperor’s wisdom in maintaining our ethics in any business venture.
Something about holding Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving (or even starting Thanksgiving night) shows how fickle humans are.

Exactly, Pete. I totally agree about Black Friday. I’ve never been a participant and never will. I also appreciate the Emperor’s steadfast influence on any of our ventures in life. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!

I’ve become such a fan of these posts, Jan, that I’m anxious to get the chance to read them! It has definitely improved my Monday mood! And goodness does today’s post speak to me! Just today I received great news for my day job, better than expected. Plus, my little side photography business is starting to move! Lots of happening and all in such positive ways.
Speaking of family and heritage, I’ve always wanted to do one of those dna tests to learn about my ancestors and my husband is making it happen this year for Christmas. I can’t wait to learn my history.
Thank you for sharing as always, Jan!

A wonderful reading, Jan. I was happy to see the ten of pentacles show up. But the knight and emporer had a nice message for me – enjoy the energy, but don’t overdo it and stay within the boundaries of what I can handle. At least that’s the interpretation I’ll take with me. 🙂 I always enjoy these. Thanks for the fun. 🙂

What beautiful reading. That went deep. I can relate to each card since I just had a conversation today that what I offer in my own company (whether products or treatments) is equally important to me. Because I want it to bring joy and healing to those I reach. It really fits that intention and the path.

Thank goodness for breaks that let us regroup and find new energy. You needed the rest, sister. As I start my year as president of the Caprock Writers, I need the Emperor card! Ha! Love, love the quote. That’s a favorite. No one can control our thoughts, our creativity unless we let them. Love you bunches.

I’m glad you had a nice break, Jan! What a great quote…definitely a keeper. I enjoyed the reading today. I’m all for moving forward, but I admit, I’m an over-thinker sometimes which slows my reaction time. Thanks for sharing!

Being an over-thinker is not a bad thing. Charging into a situation or project without giving it thought is not a good thing, as our Knight is doing. So, the Emperor is telling him to slow it down! Thank you so much for visiting today and I wish you a great week ahead!
