Welcome to the first Monday in February! I am also over at Story Empire today with a blog post on using gemstones in fiction writing. I hope you’ll take time to visit!

Need an energy boost?
I love the Tarot theme for the week!

The Queen of Cups focuses on emotional stability, compassion, and sensitivity. I also see her as well-balanced. She has one foot on the water and one on earth, giving her a fluid motion of grounding. She is connected to her emotions but not overwhelmed by them. In your creative projects and endeavors, you feel your way into them, trusting your heart and your inner guidance to lead you in the right direction. You know when something is off, and you pay attention to this, even if it doesn’t make rational sense. This card invites you to trust your intuition and pay attention to your feelings and emotions. Lead with your heart, not your head. Be open to receiving the intuitive messages flowing to you, be it through your dreams, meditation, or visualization.
The Judgement card is calling you to rise up and embrace a higher level of consciousness for the service of your Highest Good. You are experiencing a spiritual awakening and realizing that you are destined for so much more. This is your cosmic up-leveling! You hear the call and are ready to act. Tune in to a higher frequency. Let go of your old self and step into this newest version of who you really are. You may be facing a life-changing decision that requires a blend of intuition and intellect. It’s also an invitation to review what you’ve learned from past experiences and then release them. This card suggests that you may find comfort in sharing your struggles with others within a group environment. There will be others who have experienced something similar and who can show you the way to freedom from your troubles. Let them guide you and help you – rise together. (Awww, I love that! That’s us!)
In its purest form, The Lovers card represents conscious connections and meaningful relationships. It is a card of open communication and raw honesty. Given that the man and woman are naked, they are both willing to be in their most vulnerable states and have learned to open their hearts to one another and share their truest feelings. On a more personal level, Thia card represents getting clear about your values and beliefs. You are figuring out what you stand for and your philosophy. It is about choice. The choice about who you want to be in this lifetime, how you connect with others and on what level, and what you will and won’t stand for.
MY TAKEAWAY:
To me, the Queen of Cups represents the perfect emotional balance. It’s all about leading with your heart and not your head, while the Judgement card adds another level of opening up to your intuition, learning from your past, and letting go in order to move forward. I love the invitation to participate in a group environment where others can share their struggles and gains. On a basic level, that encompasses our blogging community. I thought The Lovers card popped up because we are so close to Valentine’s Day, but it also represents more than just a couple’s relationship. It’s all about relationships with others in a real and honest way, stemming from your values and beliefs.
And what a gorgeous Angel card this week. It certainly fits with the Tarot cards.

Hi Jan, this really is a lovely reading. One I can aspire too.

Love these uplifting posts to start my week. I am a day late, didn’t miss it because I read your post over on Story Empire. It’s easy to get confused at my age!

Lol, Jacqui. I so relate to the aging confusion. 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoy these posts. I often wonder if folks are getting bored with them, but then someone leaves a comment like yours, and I know they are beneficial. Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment!

I really liked the reference about learning from your past and letting go, Jan. That also plays well into emotional balance.
And what a gorgeous Angel card! Wishing you a happy Monday and an inspiring week!

It’s so hard to learn from past experiences and then let go of them. Just when I think I’ve let them go, they come right back. 🙂 For me, it’s a work in progress. And yes, it plays into an emotional balance. I’m glad you enjoyed the post. Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a great week ahead, Mae!

Today, my grandson went back to school after a three-year hiatus. I’ve been stressed out worrying if he will do okay as it’s a new country, a huge school, and his diabetes hasn’t been great for the last while.
Your cards give me hope that if I send out positive thoughts and prayers, he will thrive.
Thank you, Jan ❤

I think if you apply his situation to this reading, he will come through just fine. There will be adjustments, but kids are pretty resilient for the most part. Here’s hoping he will find his niche and thrive in that environment. Thanks for stopping by, Jacquie!

My focus word for this year is balance, and I also just joined an online writer’s group, so this reading really speaks to me, Jan. I’m liking it!

Oh, how awesome, Teri! I love your word for the year. You need to put the Temperance card somewhere that you can see it every day. The reading definitely seems to fit you this week. Thank you for your comment!

This is a good reading for me since I’m facing a major challenge. I feel at peace though and not anxious about any of it. It’s just one more problem to get past on this life journey. Love you, Sister.

I love this week’s reading. There is nothing better than following and listening to your heart. I had a guardian angel described almost exactly like the angel card.

Amazing how the cards speak to me (when even I have a different takeaway). From time to time I am struggling with specific situations in the past regarding my much too strict behavior with my children (most of all my middle one). Just yesterday it popped up again. So, the reading is a clear message to me that I may have these emotions. Probably they will accompany me for the rest of my life since I cannot change what happened. But I have to let go of the former person I was that caused that behavior. Only then I will have stable ground beneath my feet while embracing my past … and that will take away my constant feelings of guilt from the relationship with my son.
Thank you for sharing this, Jan 💖

That is a beautiful insight, Erika. We cannot change the past nor live in it. We can only learn from it. I see the Queen of Cups as you coming into balance with those emotions surrounding your child. You have to forgive yourself. We do change and grow as we go through life, and we all make mistakes. Letting go of guilt seems to be an ongoing process for me. It comes in stages. But each time I forgive myself, it feels a little more genuine. Thank you so much for your comment. Sending you light, love, and hugs!

Oh, yes, that’s so right, it comes in stages and is a process. In that step-by-step mode we find profound and sustainable healing. Thank you for your understanding words. They too are comforting and supporting 💖
