Mountain Laurel Christmas On Tour – Day 1! #ShortStory #Christmas #FamilyDrama #Music

I am thrilled to take Mountain Laurel Christmas on a short blog tour!

Our first stop is at C.S. Boyack‘s place!

Boyack is a speculative fiction and fantasy writer extraordinaire! I have read most of his work and highly recommend it for great entertainment.

A series that is diverse and eclectic is Lizzie and The Hat.

Lizzie St. Laurent inherits an old hat from her grandmother’s estate. The hat had belonged to her grandfather. But this is no ordinary hat. Being from another dimension, the Hat has powers! Lizzie and her new partner embark on journeys to hunt and destroy dark entities such as vampires and werewolves. And all while playing music in a band.

Another fabulous series from Boyack takes place on the high seas aboard a ship known as The Lanternfish. I devoured these books and there is a brand new one I haven’t had a chance to crack open yet.

You can find The Lanternfish Series HERE!

So, pick up a book from this talented author, then head on over to the blog tour.

Leave a comment, share, and enter to win my Blog Tour Giveaway!

When I decided a few years ago to start blogging consistently, I only had a handful of followers and less than a handful of ideas to blog about. Now, I have a little over 10,000 followers and am never lacking for content. I’ve posted writing tips, marketing ideas, shared new releases from other authors, shared book reviews, supported blog tours, promoted indie music artists, shared personal stories, and incorporated my passion for all things metaphysical into my blog. So, now the process seems almost effortless. I recently experimented with a Facebook Passion Page, only to soon realize I did not have the time or energy to support or build up another page. So, I’ve transferred all of my passions to my blog. I am an avid reader, therefore love sharing reviews for the books I read. I get a thrill of supporting other authors with their new releases or tours. Exploring music history or sharing new music from indie artists brings me joy. But what gets me more excited than anything else I blog about are my Monday posts with a motivational meme, a meditation, either rune or tarot card reading and a beautiful dragon card. My hope is to bring inspiration to someone’s day. We live in tumultuous and challenging times. We need all the help we can get to stay positive. I’ve recently incorporated a regular Wednesday post about gemstones and their metaphysical properties that runs along that same vein. I want to make the world a better place through blogging! So, to celebrate my blogging journey and reaching 1,000 posts, I am going to give away some things. 🙂

Writers, Have You Heard About The New OCCUPATION THESAURUS? @beccapuglisi @WriterThesaurus

Hi, everyone! I think almost every writer in the world is familiar with the ever-popular writing reference book, “The Emotion Thesaurus.” If you aren’t, take a look.

Now, these two women, Angela Ackerman and Becca Publisi have a new reference book!

Today I have something fun to share…a special chance to win some help with your writing bills. Awesome, right?

Some of you may know Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi of Writers Helping Writers. Well, today they are releasing a new book, and I’m part of their street team. I’m handing the blog over to them so they can tell you about their Writer’s Showcase event, new book, and a great freebie to check out. Read on!

Certain details can reveal a lot about a character, such as their goals, desires, and backstory wounds. But did you know there’s another detail that can tie your character’s arc to the plot, provide intense, multi-layered conflict, AND shorten the “get to know the character” curve for readers?

It’s true. Your character’s occupation is a GOLD MINE of storytelling potential.

Think about it: how much time do you spend on the job? Does it fulfill you or frustrate you? Can you separate work from home? Is it causing you challenges, creating obstacles…or bringing you joy and helping you live your truth?

Just like us, most characters will have a job, and the work they do will impact their life. The ups and downs can serve us well in the story.

Maybe you haven’t thought much about jobs in the past and how they act as a window into your character’s personality, interests, and skills. It’s okay, you aren’t alone. The good news is that The Occupation Thesaurus: A Writer’s Guide to Jobs, Vocations, and Careers is going to do all the heavy lifting for you. (Here’s one of the job profiles we cover in this book: FIREFIGHTER.)

GIVEAWAY ALERT: THE WRITER’S SHOWCASE

To celebrate the release of a new book, Writers Helping Writers has a giveaway happening July 20th & July 23rd. You can win some great prizes, including gift certificates that can be spent on writing services within our Writer’s Showcase. Stop by to enter!

Resource Alert: A List of Additional Jobs Profiles For Your Characters

Some of the amazing writers in our community have put together additional career profiles for you, based on jobs they have done in the past. What a great way to get accurate information so you can better describe the roles and responsibilities that go with a specific job, right? To access this list, GO HERE!

Happy writing to all!
