Welcome to the start of another week! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.

I LOVE this quote from Dolly Parton!

The affirmations in this meditation are powerful!

And now for our Tarot Cards for the week.

I get excited when any of the Ace cards show up in a reading, but the Ace of Swords is my favorite. It represents a mental breakthrough, a new idea, or mental clarity. It marks a wave of new energy from the intellectual realms. See this card as a sign of encouragement. It says your mind is in ‘expansion mode.’ You thrive on new ideas, inspiration, original thinking, and vision, and you are excited to pursue new opportunities that draw upon your creative and intellectual abilities.

The Ten of Wands indicates an extra burden, a heavier workload, or greater responsibility. Even though it is weighing you down and making things tougher for you, you understand it is only temporary, so you are willing to put in the hard work now to accomplish your goal and reap the rewards later. Sometimes, the Ten of Wands appears when you are unconsciously taking on extra responsibility and finding yourself feeling weighed down, exhausted, and burnt out. You may try to do everything at once, even though you know it is adding extra pressure to your daily life. The Ten of Wands asks you to stop and examine your current lifestyle or work. The good news is that the Tens in Tarot represent the completion of a cycle, and with the Ten of Wands, the end is in sight!

If my memory serves me correctly, we’ve recently had the Seven of Swords card. It talks about betrayal, deception, or getting away with something. On a more positive note, the Seven of Swords points out that you need to be strategic in what you do. You know you cannot do everything at once – nor should you. Instead, you must prioritize what’s important to you and direct your focus and attention on the few tasks that will move you closer to your goals. It’s the 80-20 rule: 20% of your work will account for 80% of your results, so focus on the 20%. You may be able to accept some responsibilities or duties, but not all of them. Or you may say ‘yes’ to some projects at the expense of others. It also suggests that you may need to use shortcuts or the ‘backdoor’ to get what you want.

MY TAKEAWAY:

The Ace of Swords is pretty straightforward. New ideas are plentiful right now. I don’t know about you, but it is true for me. I currently have two writing projects clamoring for my attention. That being said, it’s more work to accomplish goals. But we are no strangers to hard work, and the extra burden is temporary. I love the 80-20 rule associated with the Seven of Swords. It ties directly into the Ten of Wands. It looks like the energy is going to be powerful this week!

And now the Angel Card for the week. To me, it ties directly into the Tarot reading.

Take Back Your Power! Archangel Raziel: "Use your God-given power and intention to manifest blessings in your life."

Welcome to another Monday AND another month! Where did September go? As always, I hope you gain some sort of inspiration or motivation from this post.

This short meditation gave me a boost in confidence. Hope it does the same for you!

The tarot cards surprised me this week. As I studied them, I realized they truly carry a big message for me and hopefully for you as well.

The Hermit card is always an indication it is time to go within. He invites you to retreat into your private world and experience a deep sense of seclusion and introspection. The Hermit often appears when you are at a pivotal point in your life and considering a new direction. Through meditation, contemplation, and self-examination, you may begin to re-evaluate your personal goals and change your overall course. The Hermit also represents the desire to turn away from a consumerist or materialistic society to focus on your inner world. (Perfect for going into the Christmas season)

The Two of Cups represents a partnership of some kind, whether romantic or business. When the Two of Cups card appears in a Tarot reading, you may enter a new partnership, perhaps with a lover, friend, or business partner. You are both focused on creating a relationship that is mutually beneficial, one that will create a win-win situation for both parties. You see ‘eye to eye’ and appreciate what each other can bring to the table. In a romantic relationship, the Two of Cups shows a blossoming new union based on mutual attraction. There is both a physical and soul connection that leaves you giddy and weak at the knees. In a business partnership, the Two of Cups is a sign you are both on the same wavelength and share a similar vision for the venture you are creating together. You may not have the same skills as each other, but you create a beautiful synergy when you work together.

The Eight of Pentacles seems to come up often in these readings. It is so applicable to us writers as it is all about honing your craft. We work hard at improving our skills, with the goal of making each story a little better than the one before. The Eight of Pentacles is an encouragement to keep doing what you are doing as it will eventually lead to success. Yes, it requires a lot of dedication, focus, and patience, but as each day passes and as you stay true to your values and beliefs, you get a little closer to your goal. It may not be as apparent as you may like, but events are unfolding that will lead you to the right path. Continue working on yourself, too, and make ongoing improvements and adjustments to ensure that you are the best person you can be.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Any time we are facing a new direction in life, it’s super important to go within and see what that truly feels like. If the new direction includes a partnership, you each have certain skills to bring to the table to create something unique and beautiful. And, never stop learning and striving to be better at your craft. That’s pretty much a given.

On a personal level, this reading speaks to me loud and clear. I am in negotiations to begin a ghostwriting project, which is a whole new direction and will require expanding my skillset. How about you? Does this reading carry any message you can relate to?

I know this beautiful little dragon has shown up before, but he popped out again, so we must need to revisit him.

Today’s post will be a little different. Just remember I go with what I am given. Almost always, the message is for me, and I can only hope it resonates with someone else as well. The inspiration for today’s post came from a blog post that C.S. Boyack wrote. If you’re interested, here’s the link: https://coldhandboyack.wordpress.com/2022/09/23/sage-grouse/

I can distinctly remember the first time I realized life wasn’t fair for everyone and it broke my heart. Then the first time I realized that not everyone was honest, my heart broke again. Little by little my naivete and innocence got stripped away. This sweet meditation took me back to my child self, full of innocence, wonder, and trust. Life has worked hard to deprogram that out of us.

I only pulled one card today, and this is what I got.

The Ten of Cups embodies happiness, joy, and emotional contentment, particularly in your relationships and family. You have created an abundance of love and happiness in your life, and you now share this love with others, expanding your heart even more. This card often appears when you are surrounded by your loved ones with whom you share a powerful and deep connection. You appreciate and support one another, and together, you help each other reach your highest potential. It brings you so much joy to see your loved ones succeed and live happy lives.

The Ten of Cups is the ‘happy family’ card, suggesting that your family relationships are harmonious and loving right now. No one is fighting or causing any tension; all family members are getting along with each other and sharing in the love and happiness that surrounds you. This card may appear in a reading when you are spending more time with family, perhaps on a holiday, reunion, or event, where you can rest and relax together, creating fun and happy family memories and strong bonds.

The Ten of Cups encourages you to follow your heart and trust your intuition to lead you to the opportunities aligned with your Highest Good. Your feelings and emotions will guide you. When something feels fantastic, do more of it; and when something doesn’t feel right, do less of it. Allow your inner guidance to lead the way. Seek out opportunities that fulfill you and align with your personal values instead of following the path that others expect you to take.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Honestly, there isn’t anything I can add to that. I think we are being reminded just how important family is, even though sometimes we may not understand them or even like them. We chose them. They chose us. On the other hand, we have adopted families, and the same applies.

And this little dragon adds a bit more to the theme and message.

Lilac and Fire Dragon. Transmutes through the power of divine love. Open up to transcendent love and enlightenment. Purity of heart brings peace, hope and joy.

I hope you have a great week ahead! Embrace your family and try to find the carefree child you once were.

This month is already flying by as we hit the halfway mark. I know of no way to slow time down. My mom used to say the older she got, the faster time went. I am starting to believe it.

I found this meditation with wonderful affirmations.

And now for the message from the Tarot for our week.

When the Eight of Cups shows up in a Tarot reading, you may feel compelled to walk away from a situation. It suggests you sense that something is missing, particularly on an emotional or spiritual level, and instead of waiting around for things to get better, you know you need to leave that unfulfilling situation. It may not make sense to others because, on the face, it looks as if you have everything you had wished for – but, deep down, you know it’s not serving your Highest Good, and it’s time for you to let it go and move on. The Eight of Cups invites you to ask yourself what brings you joy, contentment, and fulfillment on a deeper level. Without it, you might pursue goals that fail to give you the satisfaction you’re seeking.

The Nine of Pentacles indicates financial independence or basking in the fruits of your labors. You’ve worked hard, and now is the time to enjoy the rewards. Thanks to your independent efforts, self-confidence, and discipline, you attained a well-deserved success and created a stable foundation for your life. You have achieved so much, and while you may not be at the finish line just yet, this is your opportunity to acknowledge your achievements and re-energize yourself for the final phase.

The Sun card is fitting for the hot summer month of August. It represents success, radiance, and abundance. The Sun gives you strength and tells you that no matter where you go or what you do, your positive and radiant energy will follow you and bring you happiness and joy. If you are going through a difficult time, The Sun brings you the message you have been waiting for: that things will get better, a lot better! Through the challenges along your path, you discovered who you are and why you’re here. The Sun connects you to your power base – not fear-driven, egotistical power, but the abundant, inner energy radiating through you right now. You’ll sense it in your Solar Plexus chakra, calling you to express yourself authentically and be fully present in the world around you.

MY TAKEAWAY:

There are times in life when we have to turn our backs on a situation that no longer serves us. It could be something small, like a craving for unhealthy foods, or it could be larger and on a more emotional level. But the cards following indicate joy, abundance, and success is to be had by taking the initiative to walk away and move toward the joyous energy of the sun!

This is a card I don’t think I’ve ever drawn before, but how amazing that it follows the Sun card!

The quote I am sharing today hit me in a powerful way. Think about it. How often do we find ourselves being silenced and denied? How can we grow and flourish under such duress? I do not want to ever turn my blog space into a political arena. But the overturning of Roe vs. Wade just set women back a hundred years – silenced and denied. I have never believed the government had any right to dictate what a woman can and can’t do with her body. So, this is not political, but social.

This meditation is perfect for finding your hidden strength.

Consulting the Tarot cards brought rather confusing results, so I’ll try my best to interpret them in a general way that hopefully everyone can relate to.

The Eight of Pentacles is a card of apprenticeship and mastery. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, you are working hard to improve your skills and become a master at what you do. It may indicate further education or study in order to hone your skills. More broadly, the Eight of Pentacles suggests you are working away at the finer details of the various aspects of your life, in an effort to continuously improve your situation. You may be unhappy with your current state, and you know you need to make some important changes in your life to increase your overall satisfaction. This card is a positive sign that you are committed to making those changes and to ensuring that you give yourself the best possible chance. Overall, this is a very hard-working and conscientious energy that is present in your life. Keep doing what you are doing as it will eventually lead to success.

The Two of Wands indicates you are exploring your options and carefully plotting out the path ahead, accounting for all possibilities and potential challenges. You are open to growth and exploring new territories, so long as you maintain a level of certainty that your efforts will work out in the end. It is important that you establish a clear plan before moving ahead. Contemplation, introspection, and expansion are the keywords for this card. The Twos in Tarot often represent decisions of some sort. With this two, you may make a choice between sticking with what you know or taking a risk.

The Seven of Cups is all about choices, opportunities, and at times, illusions. Often, the Seven of Cups can be a sign of wishful thinking and projecting into the future about what you would like to create, rather than taking action here in the present to make it happen. This card is inviting you to move out of the ideas and options phase and choose. Each will have its pros and cons – it’s up to you to make sure that the option you select is in alignment with your purpose and your Highest Good – even if you feel somewhat paralyzed by the options available to you.

MY TAKEAWAY:

I struggled with this reading because the question I approached it with, was regarding human rights. But the cards took me down another path, which tells me the situation and question I had in mind are out of my control. And isn’t that true? So, going with the cards, we are encouraged to keep honing our craft, to stick with what we know while contemplating the future and what it may or may not hold for us. We always have certain choices in life and it is wise to look at those choices through realistic eyes.

Your thoughts?

I absolutely love this Dragon card, but then I love them all. 🙂

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation #RuneReading #DragonOracleCard

Welcome to another Monday filled with motivation for a great week ahead!

Created in Canva

I found this short meditation to be uplifting and a great start to my day!

I was drawn back to the Runes for this week’s reading.

The rune in the first position (past) is Gifu also known as Gebo. It is the rune of gifts and generosity. Primarily it signifies an exchange between people that necessarily results in a connection between the giver and receiver. It can represent both tangible and intangible gifts, such as emotional support. This rune invites you to accept wholeheartedly, and with gratitude, the gifts that are presented to you. At the same time, you are encouraged to consider your own giving. Are you reciprocating sufficiently to honor what you’ve received? Gifu can also refer to gifts from the higher realms, particularly in the context of skills and talents. Perhaps you’ve discovered a new passion you have a natural ability for.

Mannaz sits in the second or present position. It is the rune of humankind and symbolizes the characteristics that set humans apart from the rest of Earth’s living creatures, the ability to create for the sake of creativity itself. This rune reminds us we are all a part of a shared experience among all humans. Mannaz can also represent the self, with particular emphasis on one’s inner being. In keeping with the flow of Gifu, Mannaz also symbolizes assistance from others. Its shape evokes a sense of mutual support, of two individuals coming together to stabilize each other. Be sure to remain open to accepting help from others at this time as well as being willing to lend a helping hand if needed.

In the third (future) position, Perthro reminds us to remain vigilant for the truth behind any matter. Things are not always as they seem on the surface. You are advised to pay attention to the signs and signals your intuition is picking up on. Under the auspice of this rune, it is a great time to pursue any esoteric interests. If you’ve been struggling with a stubborn conundrum, Perthro advocates going within to find the answers you seek. Clearing your mind allows the enlightenment you need to arise naturally, without effort. Trust the mysteries of the unknown. All will be revealed in due time.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Giving and receiving are a natural flow in life. Many of us struggle with receiving, yet are able to give freely. When it is not equally reciprocated, it throws everything out of balance. And, as always, the deepest truth lies deep within each of us. With a clear mind, we can easily access these truths. I hope this sets the tone for the week ahead. Giving and receiving equally create a comfortable balance and in that balance, we can more easily access our truth!

And now for our beautiful little Dragon inspiration, which flows quite nicely with the rune reading.
