#WednesdayWonders – #Gemstones – #Malachite

Welcome to another stroll through the amazing world of gemstones!

I only have a very small piece of the gemstone I am going to share with you today, but my sister, Linda Broday, sent me photos of her beautiful Malachite heart to show more of this stone’s beauty. Thank you, sister!

The first photo is my little piece and it is approximately 3/4″.

The next photo is my sister’s Malachite heart.

Malachite is an important protection stone. It absorbs negative energies and pollutants, picking them up from the atmosphere and from the body.

It can help guard against radiation and clear electromagnetic pollution (like the Sodalite we looked at last week).  It is recommended that anyone who lives near a nuclear power plant, have this stone in their home.

Malachite clears and activates the chakras, especially the heart chakra and third eye. It is a powerful tool to assist with spiritual guidance. It opens the heart to unconditional love, encourages risk-taking and change, breaks unwanted ties and outworn patterns, and teaches how to take responsibility for one’s actions, thoughts, and feelings.  Malachite releases inhibitions and develops empathy with others. It alleviates mental disturbances and combats dyslexia.

It can aid in enabling you to absorb and process information. It can also stimulate dreams.

Physically, Malachite is an extremely versatile healing stone. It is particularly useful for menstrual cramps and has been called the midwife stone as it aids in childbirth. It resonates with the female sexual organs. This stone can help lower blood pressure, treat asthma, epilepsy, swollen joints, travel sickness, vertigo and the parathyroid. It aligns DNA and cellular structure to enhance the immune system.

It is recommended that you wear Malachite on your left hand, if a ring and left wrist, if a bracelet. You may place it on your solar plexus to absorb deep negative emotions.

Use ONLY polished Malachite. If used as an elixir, place the stone near, but not in the water.

I’d love to hear from you. Do you have a piece of Malachite? If so, how do you use it?

#WednesdayWonders – #Gemstones – Snowflake Obsidian

Snowflake Obsidian is such an incredibly beautiful stone. You can see it in the lower right of the photo above but here’s a clearer photo of it.

Snowflake Obsidian photo by Jan Sikes

Black Obsidian is a very powerful and creative stone. It grounds the soul and spiritual forces into the physical plane.

However, Snowflake Obsidian has some different properties. The white inclusions in the black obsidian do indeed look like snowflakes.

It is known to calm and soothe, putting you in a positive frame of mind to be receptive before bringing to your attention certain ingrained patterns of behavior. It teaches you to value mistakes as well as successes.

It is a stone of purity, providing a balance for the mind, body, and soul. It can also help you recognize and release ways of thinking that do not serve your highest good, or that are stressful ways of thinking. Snowflake Obsidian keeps us grounded and balanced during chaotic times, and encourages us to be present and in the moment.

It aids with isolation and loneliness. I think we all could have used this beautiful stone through last year’s lockdown.

It is empowering and can aid in meditation.

As far as physical healing, the Snowflake Obsidian can treat vein issues and the skeletal structure. It improves circulation and can be beneficial for the skin and eyes.

A common use is to place this stone in water and drink as an elixir.

I’d love to hear from you. Do any of you have or use this stone? It makes gorgeous jewelry!

What Is A BioRhythm?

Back in the early days of my metaphysical journey, I learned about something called a BioRhythm. And until recent events unfolded for me, I had forgotten about it.

First of all, what is a BioRhythm?

According to the theory of BioRhythms, a person’s life is influenced by rhythmic biological cycles that affect his or her ability in various domains, such as mental, physical and emotional activity. These cycles begin at birth and oscillate in a steady (sine wave) fashion throughout life, and by modeling them mathematically, it is suggested that a person’s level of ability in each of these domains can be predicted from day to day.

What got me thinking about this was a series of events. First of all, my brand new (one month old) phone crashed last Thursday. I took it to the T-Mobile store and they were unable to restore it, so they gave me loaner phone and said my warranty replacement would be there by Saturday or Monday at the latest.

Okay. I didn’t panic. I had a loaner phone to use and it sounded promising. Saturday came and went with no phone call. Monday came and by mid-day, still no phone call, so I called them. Guess what? They didn’t have a phone for me and couldn’t find any record of one being requested. Wow! I was blown away. I know Mercury is in Retrograde, but this is the strongest it has ever influenced me.

After several hours of back-and-forth, I finally received a call from a T-Mobile Expert. He fumbled for about an hour still coming up with no solution to my problem and then told me I would probably get better results if I contacted Google myself (I have a Google Pixel 3a XL phone.) Really? Well, okay. So, I did and the lady eventually gave me two options. One, I could follow a link she sent and print a mailing label, then send the phone and expect a replacement in 14 days or; two, I could take it to the nearest UBreakIFix store as they were authorized to do their warranty work.

The 14 day wait didn’t appeal to me, so I went to the store. Sure enough within a couple of hours the phone was restored and I had it in my hands.

Then on Monday afternoon, while I was working, I hit my arm on a rectangular door handle and it cut a deep gash in my arm. (I apologize in advance for the graphic photo)

Yesterday, I took a jarring fall that has left me sore and a little bruised.

SO, that got me to thinking about my BioRhythm cycle and that the physical aspect must be way down.

I found an easy on-line calculator and sure enough what I suspected was true.

Are BioRhythms real? I suppose it’s a matter of opinion, but anytime I have paid attention, mine has been extremely accurate.

Want to see where your BioRhythm cycle is? Here’s the link to the Calculator: https://keisan.casio.com/exec/system/1340246447

I’m curious as to your thoughts.

By the way, my physical cycle will bottom out around July 25th, then start back up. Whew! I’m ready!

The CONTRACT between heaven and earth

By John W. Howell & Gwen M. Plano

Thank you, Jan, for inviting us to join you today. We are honored and grateful to be featured on your blog where you have such good writing and music.

The Contract

Available on Kindle and Paperback

Kindle priced at $0.99 for the introduction.

The CONTRACT is a different story for writers John W. Howell and Gwen M. Plano. For either of them, it is their first attempt at co-authorship. After a year of Hurricane Harvey and other challenges, they have created, what they have termed, an inspirational thriller that bridges heaven and earth.

Here is the blurb:

The earth is threatened with a catastrophic political event which could result in international warfare and destroy all life on the planet. In heaven, a divine council decides that extraordinary measures are essential. They call for an intervention that involves two souls returning to earth. The chosen two sign a contract that they will work to avert the disaster.

Brad Channing, a Navy SEAL, and Sarah O’Brien, a teacher, become heaven’s representatives on earth. The story follows them as they individually and then together face overwhelming obstacles and eventually end up on a strategic Air Force base in California. It is there that they discover a conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States. The terrorists have a plan for global dominance, and they are determined to complete their mission. Although military leadership appears to have the President’s best interests at heart, it is not clear who can be trusted and who should be feared. The action is rough and tumble as Brad and Sarah try to figure out the culprits for the plot that will turn into a worldwide conflagration unless stopped.

If you enjoy thrillers, this is one with enough twists and adventure to keep you riveted and guessing. If you like your thriller along with a good romance, Brad and Sarah’s initial attraction and eventual love will sustain you as they live out their heavenly and earthly desires.

Trailer

Here is an excerpt.

When they stepped out into the brisk air, Brad wrapped his arm around Sarah and pulled her close. “Will you be warm enough? I have a jacket in the car.”

Sarah didn’t know how to respond. With his arm around her, she felt warm—in fact, a bit more than just warm. Maybe I should accept his jacket, but I don’t want to wear it and give up his arm.

“Sarah?”

“I just thought that it had been a while since a gentleman had his arm around me.” I can’t believe I just said that.

Brad turned to face her, his hands now around her waist, “I hope you like being held close.”

Sarah nodded, her eyes welling. Brad leaned and offered a first kiss. Sarah felt fifteen again, swept off her feet by prince charming.

“If I keep my arm around you, will you be warm enough?”

Sarah beamed. He had reframed his question, and she nodded yes.

Brad smiled. “I thought so.”

Under a street lamp busy with swarming intruders, Brad drew Sarah close, and with tenderness, kissed her. When she relaxed into his arms, Brad took a deep breath in, and his eyes shone wetly as he exhaled. Was he falling in love with her too? It seemed that neither of them wanted the moment to end. Sarah savored Brad’s warmth and strength. It felt so right, so natural, as though he and she had been lovers in times past. This is where I belong, she thought, in his arms.

LOVE – THE BEAT GOES ON – Lynda Filler #BookReview

5 star

IF I COULD GIVE THIS BOOK 10 STARS, I WOULD!!

Love The Beat Goes On

THE BLURB:

When your cardiologist tells you to “Get your affairs in order, your heart condition is incurable,” what do you do?
Lynda shares her personal story in the typical fast-paced, edgy, in-your-face style she’s known for in her writing. She will walk you through her journey to self-love sharing her belief in journals, love, prayer, soul, spirituality and positive mindset.
She’s hard-hitting but compassionate. She writes about romantic experiences that may shock you, but makes no apologies for her unconventional life style. Nor does she hold back taking responsibility for the things that she believes created her dis-ease.

You will definitely question a woman who walks around in denial; then makes a decision to drive, all alone, from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Whistler, Canada with undiagnosed Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Men and women are often self-care-challenged and Lynda was no the exception.

If you are fighting any kind of illness or dis-ease, you are not alone! Lynda has walked her talk, and after an experience in the summer of 2015 relating to Dr. Wayne Dyer, she is now ready to release her story

Lynda knows how it feels to be told you’re not healing or your condition is incurable. At no point will she undermine anything your physicians tell you to do. She is not a medical doctor. She will explain the powerful, yet simple concepts, beliefs, balance and faith that she believes led to her healing. Most of all, she will show you how she used these simple principles to design and live, the fully healed life she now enjoys in 2017.

You will shake your head in wonder, laugh, and maybe cry too. If you want less pain, worry, and stress about dis-ease and life in general, you will want to read this simple yet powerful story.

MY REVIEW:

I have read a lot of new-age books over the years and got something good from each of them, but this book by Lynda Filler is amazing. Her honesty about the journey from receiving a death sentence for an incurable disease to healing in a rainstorm while a Shaman beat on his drum is not just compelling, but astounding.

I loved every fragment of this story. She takes the reader through the full gamut of emotions while she seeks to heal her diseased heart for which the doctors had no cure. But, the lessons she learns, the incredible experiences she has, are inspired and inspiring.

I highly recommend Love The Beat Goes On to anyone who is seeking a higher level of consciousness, whether you are sick or healthy. Also, the resources she lists at the end of the book are invaluable. I have listened to some of the Shamanic healing videos by Akal (her Shaman guide in Sedona) and they take me instantly into a state of peace, of bliss. This is a book every human should read and take away the lessons given. If I could give it ten stars, I would. It’s that good.
