This short meditation gave me a boost in confidence. Hope it does the same for you!

The tarot cards surprised me this week. As I studied them, I realized they truly carry a big message for me and hopefully for you as well.

The Hermit card is always an indication it is time to go within. He invites you to retreat into your private world and experience a deep sense of seclusion and introspection. The Hermit often appears when you are at a pivotal point in your life and considering a new direction. Through meditation, contemplation, and self-examination, you may begin to re-evaluate your personal goals and change your overall course. The Hermit also represents the desire to turn away from a consumerist or materialistic society to focus on your inner world. (Perfect for going into the Christmas season)

The Two of Cups represents a partnership of some kind, whether romantic or business. When the Two of Cups card appears in a Tarot reading, you may enter a new partnership, perhaps with a lover, friend, or business partner. You are both focused on creating a relationship that is mutually beneficial, one that will create a win-win situation for both parties. You see ‘eye to eye’ and appreciate what each other can bring to the table. In a romantic relationship, the Two of Cups shows a blossoming new union based on mutual attraction. There is both a physical and soul connection that leaves you giddy and weak at the knees. In a business partnership, the Two of Cups is a sign you are both on the same wavelength and share a similar vision for the venture you are creating together. You may not have the same skills as each other, but you create a beautiful synergy when you work together.

The Eight of Pentacles seems to come up often in these readings. It is so applicable to us writers as it is all about honing your craft. We work hard at improving our skills, with the goal of making each story a little better than the one before. The Eight of Pentacles is an encouragement to keep doing what you are doing as it will eventually lead to success. Yes, it requires a lot of dedication, focus, and patience, but as each day passes and as you stay true to your values and beliefs, you get a little closer to your goal. It may not be as apparent as you may like, but events are unfolding that will lead you to the right path. Continue working on yourself, too, and make ongoing improvements and adjustments to ensure that you are the best person you can be.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Any time we are facing a new direction in life, it’s super important to go within and see what that truly feels like. If the new direction includes a partnership, you each have certain skills to bring to the table to create something unique and beautiful. And, never stop learning and striving to be better at your craft. That’s pretty much a given.

On a personal level, this reading speaks to me loud and clear. I am in negotiations to begin a ghostwriting project, which is a whole new direction and will require expanding my skillset. How about you? Does this reading carry any message you can relate to?

I know this beautiful little dragon has shown up before, but he popped out again, so we must need to revisit him.

Dark Blue Galactic Dragon. Helps you listen to the voice of the Universe. Ignite the codes of your master blueprint. Access cosmic wisdom and enter higher service.

I love how each week there seems to be a theme. This week, Creativity in all forms is the message!

This is such a soothing and inspiring meditation.

The cards today speak to writers everywhere.

The Eight of Pentacles represents a master craftsman honing his skills. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, you are working hard to improve your skills and become a master at what you do. You are diligent and hard-working and you are applying yourself fully to whatever is at the center of your attention. As you do the same task over and over, you work your way towards mastery of your craft, and through your perseverance and unwavering attention, you create success. (Sounds a lot like writing, doesn’t it?) The Eight of Pentacles is encouragement to keep doing what you are doing as it will eventually lead to success. Yes, it requires a lot of dedication, focus and patience but as each day passes and as you stay true to your values and beliefs, you get a little closer to your goal. It may not be as apparent as you may like but events are unfolding that will lead you to the right path. Continue working on yourself, too, and making ongoing improvements and adjustments to ensure that you are the best person you can be.

The Two of Wands is all about contemplation and planning for the future. It’s not necessarily a card of action, but of thought. You are exploring your options and carefully plotting out the path ahead, accounting for all possibilities and potential challenges. You are open to growth and exploring new territories, so long as you maintain a level of certainty that your efforts will work out in the end. The Two of Wands is also about discovery, particularly as you step outside your comfort zone and explore new worlds and experiences. It may take courage to set out, but this card gives you the confidence of self-knowledge. You know what your goal is and are sure of its eventual fulfilment. Let your intuition and passion guide you as you confirm your next steps.

The Ace of Cups represents love, new relationships, passion and creativity. Now is the perfect time for you to open your heart and experience the rich flow of emotion available to you. You are more receptive to creative opportunities, loving connections, and deep compassion for other living beings. As with all Aces in the Tarot, this card comes as an invitation. Will you take it? Will you say “Yes!” to Divine love and compassion, and will you run with it? The Ace of Cups carries the potential for spiritual and emotional fulfilment – but only if you embrace it with an open heart. This card often appears in Tarot readings when you are open to creative expression, especially when you can allow your emotions to shine through your endeavors. You may be inspired to start a new project, take an art class or even engage in interpretative dance. At this point in your life, you are comfortable with who you are and happily express this part of yourself to others. You see fresh potential in allowing your creative juices to flow. Let your imagination and talent unfurl to new possibilities.

MY TAKEAWAY:

To get better at anything we do, we must continue to practice, to learn and hone our skills. Then, we can begin to look ahead at new projects, taking the time to contemplate and plan. Following that, In the flow of passion and creativity, we can embrace new endeavors, particularly ones that involve relationships.

I know I say this every time, but the little Dragon is absolutely beautiful. Look how he’s on the bridge, bridging the gap. 🙂

Orange Dragon. Brings soul families and communities together. Spread belonging, warmth and oneness. Bring people everywhere together.

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

I have missed my regular Monday posts. July was a whirlwind month with two trips AND finding my new book up on Amazon for pre-order. I look forward to some routine weeks ahead and back to working on my WIP, which has been sadly neglected.

I’m not a worrier. I think I got that from my mom. I’ve heard her say a hundred times, “I’m not going to worry about it. If I can fix a problem, I will, and if I can’t, then I won’t worry about it.”

That’s not to say if you are a worrier, you are wrong. Worry has its place and can be a good motivator. From that, the theme this week is letting go of things you cannot change.

Here’s a short but beautiful meditation to help let go.

I returned to the tarot cards this week for guidance for the week ahead. Here’s what I got.

The Knight of Swords is all action. He is ambitious, action-oriented, driven to succeed, and fast-thinking. I could use some of that energy about now. You are so highly motivated to succeed that you will stop at nothing to pursue your dreams. The challenges, difficulties and obstacles on the path ahead don’t faze you because you know where you want to go. Move forward with sheer strength and determination to make things happen. The downside of the fast-thinking, quick-acting Knight of Swords is that sometimes you act too quickly and haven’t thoroughly thought things through.

The Three of Swords can represent a deep hurt or disappointment. Following on the heels of the reckless knight, it is an admonition to slow down and look at where you are going to avoid any loss or setback. It may also represent an emotional release. Maybe you’ve held something pent up for a while. This is a go-sign to let it all out. The good news is that because it is a low number (3), this is a short-lived setback. And you will come out on the other side stronger and wiser.

The Magician card is self-explanatory. When you think of a Magician, you often think of the tools he uses to create his illusion. In this same sense, we have all the tools we need to create a profound magic in our lives.  Seriously, everything you need right now is at your fingertips. You have the spiritual (fire), physical (earth), mental (air) and emotional (water) resources to manifest your desires. And when you combine them with the energy of the spiritual and earthly realms, you will become a manifestation powerhouse! The key is to bring these tools together synergistically so that the impact of what you create is greater than the separate parts. This is alchemy at its best!

MY TAKEAWAY:

You may feel inspired, fired-up to take action right now as the ideas are coming fast and furious. But you are warned to slow down, take a realistic look and then go create your own magic!

The Dragon Card today is so inspiring to me! It goes hand-in-hand with the Knight of Swords.

Fire and Water Dragon. Enables your life to flow with loving force. Prepare for change and to move forward quickly. Expect the unexpected. Have fun!

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

Welcome to the start of another week and a new month!

Wow! I love that!

Today’s meditation is new and different and it really energized me! I hope it works for you too!

I chose the tarot cards again this week to set the tone for the week ahead.

I love it when the tarot spread starts with new inspiring ideas! The Page of Swords is full of energy, passion, and enthusiasm. When this card shows up in a Tarot reading, you are bursting with new ideas and plans for the future. You may be excited about starting a new project, pursuing a new approach, or learning something new. The Page of Swords often emerges when you are exploring a new way of thinking or a different way of expressing yourself with others and communicating your ideas and opinions. If you are looking for a sign to move ahead with a new project, the Page of Swords says, ‘Go for it!’

The Queen of Swords represents independent thinking and unbiased judgment. You are open to hearing the thoughts and opinions of others, but ultimately, you filter that information to decipher what is true and what is not. When interacting with others, you will not tolerate mistruths or excessive ‘fluff’. You prefer to get to the heart of the matter without engaging in too much chit-chat or gossip. Direct communication and clear boundaries are at the root of this card’s meaning.

When the Two of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, it’s safe to say you are juggling your priorities, roles, and responsibilities. It often appears when you are busy, rushing from one thing to the next, with little downtime in between. You may tell yourself that you haven‘t got enough time or you’re in a rush. However, remember that you don’t have to be busy to get things done. Sometimes taking a break is the most productive thing you can do. (Wow!) The Two of Pentacles invites you to manage your time and your priorities carefully. Your workload is high right now, and to get everything done, you need to stay focused and productive. You may benefit from a ‘to-do’ list, better calendar management, and a stricter schedule.

My Takeaway: I love that the week starts off with encouragement to move forward. But then we get a reminder to practice unbiased and independent thinking and get ready for multi-tasking. When is that not the case for authors? The part about taking a break really hit home with me. I seldom give myself that luxury, so it’s a good reminder.

Your thoughts:?

What an inspiring Dragon Card this week!

#MotivationMonday – #Meditation – #TarotReading – Dragon Card

I have been under the weather having contracted a stomach virus and almost didn’t do this post, but Spirit nudged me so I know someone needs today’s message.

Today’s meditation is all about opening to and allowing positive energy to flow.

It is highly unusual to draw two Major Arcana cards for these short readings, but that’s what we have today. We are sitting at a powerful time of the year when we are called on to rejuvenate and get ready to begin a new year.

The High Priestess is the guardian of the subconscious mind and the teacher of sacred knowledge and hidden mysteries. Sitting at the threshold of the conscious and subconscious mind, The High Priestess has an innate ability to travel between these realms effortlessly. She teaches you that the world is not always as it seems and more profound influences are often at play.

The High Priestess signifies spiritual enlightenment, inner illumination, divine knowledge, and wisdom. She shows up in your Tarot readings when the veil between you and the underworld is thin, and you have the opportunity to access the knowledge deep within your soul. Now is the time to be still so you can tune in to your intuition. The answers you are seeking will come from within, from your deepest truth and ‘knowing.’ Allow The High Priestess to become your guide as you venture deep into your subconscious mind and access this inner wisdom. Connect with your intuition and your Higher Self through meditation, visualization, shamanic journeying, and being part of spiritual communities.

When the Queen of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, you are embodying the ultimate working parent archetype. You care for your family and domestic responsibilities while also making a living for yourself and creating financial abundance. You can maintain a healthy balance between home and work by integrating the two and finding your place of ‘flow’ and alignment. Similarly, the Queen of Pentacles suggests that it is important to you to live independently, with a stable income, and with enough time and space to also nurture your loved ones. You may be trying to strike a better balance between your home and work lives, giving it your all in both domains. At the same time, you find time for yourself and prioritize ‘me’ time in between all of your other commitments.

This Queen asks you to maintain a compassionate, nurturing, practical, and down-to-earth attitude when dealing with others and your present circumstances. Focus on creating a calm and balanced life for yourself. Be resourceful and practical, dealing with issues as they arise using straightforward solutions that fix the problem with minimal fuss.

The Strength card represents strength, determination, and power.

Strength is about knowing you can endure life’s obstacles. You have great stamina and persistence, balanced with underlying patience and inner calm. You are committed to what you need to do, and you go about it in a way that shows your composure and maturity.

When the Strength Tarot card appears in a reading, you are fueled by your inner strength, personal power, strong will, and determination. You do not rule by trying to control others; you quietly influence and persuade. Others may underestimate your power because it is so ‘invisible’ – but you should see that as an advantage. You can control a situation without excessive, outward force. No one knows it’s you calling the shots. Your strength gives you the confidence to overcome any growing fears, challenges, or doubts. Feel the fear and do it anyway! If you have been going through a rough time and are burnt out or stressed, the Strength card encourages you to find the power within yourself to persevere.

My Takeaway:

This is the time of year when the veil between the two worlds is thin and we have the ability to experience both worlds, most often in the dream state, allowing us to access our deep inner wisdom and intuition while the Queen offers loving stability not only to ourselves but to our loved ones. And finally, the Strength card is just that – strength to overcome and to move forward into a new year. What a loving positive message!

And here’s the gorgeous Dragon Card for the week with an uplifting message!

#MotivationMonday – #Meditation – #TarotReading – #DragonOracleCard

We are in the midst of a chaotic and busy time of the year. So, simply taking a few minutes to breathe and connect with Source can bring deep inner calm. The inspiration for today’s quote came from a vivid dream.

Here’s a short but effective meditation to help bring a deep sense of relaxation.

And, now for the Tarot Reading to help get the week started.

So appropriate for the season, the Three of Pentacles is a card of celebration, friendship, and creative collaborations. Your friends and family are here to support you and lift you up to even higher levels of success. Celebrate with them and enjoy their camaraderie. This indicates a very sociable period and I think most of us can relate to that. It is a very creative card and encourages creativity within a group environment.

The Page of Cups suggests a new idea or opportunity coming to you out of the blue. Your creative energy is flowing, and now the question is how you will express it. This card invites you to have an open and curious mind. Be open to anything – including a fish popping its head out of a cup! It is with a curious mind that you will discover new aspects of life and yourself. Open your mind to all possibilities, especially those of a creative or intuitive nature, you will be pleasantly surprised.

The Page of Swords takes the Page of Cups to a more active level. When this card shows up in a Tarot reading, you are bursting with new ideas and plans for the future. You may be excited about starting a new project, pursuing a new approach, or learning something new. You have so much energy that you feel as though you could do almost anything – and you can! The challenge, however, is whether you can keep it up. As with all Pages, the beginning always looks promising, but you need something else to follow through and keep up the pace.

My takeaway:

Even in the midst of celebrations, family gatherings, and joyous occasions, creative ideas are flowing, so keep an open mind. Don’t be surprised if you get a creative idea in the midst of Christmas dinner. 🙂 Go ahead and jot it down. Then as soon as you can, begin the new project with enthusiasm and settle in for the long haul to see it to fruition!

Another gorgeous Dragon Card to share.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WEEK!!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonCard

I’ve been reading a book that has got me doing some deep thinking. And one thing I realize is that together we are so much stronger than alone. So, this quote stood out to me.

Created in Canva

This is a short but powerful meditation that reinforces the knowledge that we are all united by the same life force. We are energetic beings capable of experiencing so much love.

Drawn back to the Tarot cards, here is the reading for this week.

At first glance, this three-card-draw left me a little puzzled.

The Four of Wands is a card of joyful celebration, blissful happiness, and appreciation for the good things in life. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, it is the perfect time to celebrate with those you love most. It makes sense to me as I am celebrating a new book release, but more than that, with the holidays coming, I am looking forward to celebrating with loved ones.

The Temperance card from the Major Arcana in the present position is all about balance, moderation, and stabilization. You are invited to let the life force flow through you without force or resistance. Temperance asks you to take the middle path and accommodate all perspectives. Now is not the time to be highly opinionated or controversial. Be the peacekeeper and take a balanced and moderate approach, avoiding any extremes. Include others and bring together diverse groups of people to create harmony and cooperation. By working together, you will collectively leverage the right mix of talents, experiences, abilities, and skills. There is alchemy within Temperance. This Tarot card is about blending, mixing, and combining diverse elements in a way that creates something new and even more valuable than its separate parts. (Wow! That goes right along with our quote today and the meditation.)

The Justice card represents fairness, truth, and the law. You are being called to account for your actions and will be judged accordingly. If you have acted in alignment with your Higher Self and for the greater good of others, you have nothing to worry about. A level of compassion and understanding accompany Justice, and although you may have done something you regret, this card suggests that you will be treated fairly and without bias. At its core, Justice is about the search for truth. As you explore your truth, you will discover that things are not as clear-cut as you had thought. Be prepared to dip into the murky waters and explore what truth means to you. Be consciously aware of what you believe to be true and what you believe to be fair and ethical. It may not be as clear-cut as you think, so prepare to challenge yourself and explore new territories of your belief system.

My Takeaway:

Celebrate all of the good and wonderful things in life with those you love, but do so with moderation and consideration for others. Unity brings strength and by being consciously aware of what we believe in deep down in our hearts, we will grow in love and compassion for others.

Another incredibly beautiful Dragon Card brings a powerful message. I love the tender way the dragon is holding the butterfly.

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonCard

Hello, November! This year is flying past. The theme for this week’s post is all about using our full potential. My thanks to Author, Erika Kind for the quote for the week.

The meditation today truly inspired me and I hope it will have the same effect on you. Let’s unlock our highest potential!

The reading for the week comes from the Tarot Cards and when I was pulling them, an extra one popped out, so I am going with it.

The Page of Swords is an action card and it is sitting in the past position. It is full of enthusiasm and passion. Perhaps you started a new project full of anticipation and excitement. The challenge with this card is to keep up the momentum. The Page of Swords often emerges when you are exploring a new way of thinking – a new idea, a new perspective, new knowledge, or a new technique. I don’t know about you, but with all of the craziness around the world, a new perspective is often necessary for peace of mind.

Next, in the present position, The Two of Wands takes a spark of inspiration and turns it into a clear action plan. It is the exact opposite of the sword in that it is contemplation rather than action. You look to the future and take in all possibilities before taking a step. It is more about long-term goals. The Twos in Tarot often represent decisions of some sort. With this two, you may make a choice between sticking with what you know or taking a risk.

In the future position, we have the Five and Seven of Cups. The Five of Cups can often indicate the feeling of disappointment or failure. But at the same time, is telling us to look away from what we might consider to be a failure and instead focus on new possibilities or opportunities. We’ve had the Seven of Cups before, and you may remember that symbolizes endless choices and possibilities. There is so much to choose from, yet it comes with a warning of caution in your decision. Make wise choices. Often, the Seven of Cups can be a sign of wishful thinking and projecting into the future about what you would like to create, rather than taking action here in the present to make it happen. Now is a time to focus on the one thing that will move you closer to your goal; resist the temptation to get side-tracked with other ideas as they arise. If need be, note your ideas as they come up, but stay focused on the one thing you’re doing.

My Takeaway:

With fresh enthusiasm and passion for a project, we are asked to look at the long-term goals, or the bigger picture before taking any action. At the same time, we are cautioned not to focus on what we might perceive to be failures or disappointment but, instead, look at the opportunities presented to us and make wise choices and unlock our highest potential. Make it a great week!

Another gorgeous Dragon Card message for the week!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #RuneReading #DragonCard

This is the last week in October. It is a time when the veil between worlds thins. Let’s take advantage of that!

Instead of sharing a meditation today, I am sharing a ten-minute affirmation exercise. Affirmations are powerful and can cause a big shift in our mindset.

I was drawn back to the runes for today’s reading.

This is the second time I’ve gotten the Othala Rune in a reading. That tells me there is an important message. You may remember that Othala represents our heritage or our roots. This is in the past position and that tells me we are perhaps all leaning more toward tradition, looking back to our early and basic teachings. The caution is not to hang onto old ways of thinking that no longer serve us. We may be inclined to lean on family for support or perhaps to give support to another.

The second rune in the present position is Ansuz and is the rune of communication. It represents all forms of communication, but especially verbal. It may indicate that an important message or revelation is coming your way. This rune also refers to knowledge, wisdom, and reason.

In the future position, Dagaz, is the rune of daylight and is considered a very beneficial sign in any reading. Increase, growth, prosperity, strength, good health, and general well-being are indicated by this rune. It can represent new hope, light emerging from darkness. Or it could also indicate a breakthrough, insight, or inspiration, whether on an artistic creative level or in terms of spiritual enlightenment.

My takeaway:

Often in turbulent times, we find ourselves reaching backward to our original roots, or bonding more with family. There is no disputing that we are living in turbulent times. It is more important than ever before that we lean on each other and embrace our basic truths. With Ansuz, it is saying that we have the ability to express ourselves in this truth and that it may help bring about some light, a breakthrough, or inspiration, whether in ourselves or others.

This gorgeous Dragon Card reinforces that thought!

Have a great week ahead!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonCard

Good morning! Welcome to a new day, a new week, a clean slate on which to write our stories.

WhiteWolf.com

This is such a beautiful meditation with a powerful mantra to begin a new day.

I was drawn back to the Tarot Cards for our weekly reading. I love the message!

The Two of Pentacles is about endless juggling. As you can see from the image, he has two pentacles he has continuously in motion with the infinity symbol. This card invites you to manage your time and your priorities carefully. Your workload is high right now, and to get everything done, you need to stay focused and productive. You may benefit from a ‘to do’ list, better calendar management, and a stricter schedule. (I know. I hear you groaning because I am too) With the approaching holiday season, this is timely. Balance is a must.

The Knight of Pentacles represents hard work, effort, and the responsibility of following a dream. Notice the sturdy strength of the horse the knight is seated upon. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, you are working methodically towards your goals. You have a plan in place and are sticking to your schedule to get the job done. You may not work particularly quickly, but you are consistent, dedicated, and committed to your goal. Put one foot in front of the other and finish the job. This card also asks you to continue doing what you are doing, plodding along and making gradual progress. No need to change your approach. Go with the flow, stick to your usual routines, and over time, you will reach your goals.

Then the Hanged Man tells us to take a pause from all that hard work and reflect on what’s really important in life. It can sometimes indicate a delay. Don’t keep pushing forward, hoping that more force will drive you to where you want to go. Instead, surrender to the opportunity to pause and view it as your chance to reassess and re-evaluate where you are on your path. Something new is emerging, and you won’t be able to see it unless you allow the time and space for it to come through. **Addendum** Many thanks to C.S. Boyack for pointing out that the Hanged Man is reversed. I did not see that. Whether I accidentally flipped him, or he came out of the deck that way, who knows. but it does change the reading.

Reversed Hanged Man can indicate the need to hit the pause button. And if we don’t heed the warning, we may end up crashing and burning. It can also indicate delays or things being put on hold, much to our frustration.

My takeaway:

I almost had to laugh out loud at this card spread. We have the balancing act of too much to do, hard work, then put on the brakes. So, to me, it is saying for this week, work hard, stay balanced, and don’t resist taking pause at the end of the week for a little R&R. We don’t want to crash and burn! Sounds good to me! And how ironic that we have a full moon in Aries this week which is full of drive and passion, then moving into stillness by the weekend when the moon is void of course inviting us to take it easy.

And as always, the beautiful little dragons bring such an uplifting message.
