#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

As the holidays get closer, the frantic pace of life around us seems to increase. I hope this post today will serve as a reminder to take the time to stay focused, grounded, and centered through it all. A good sense of humor also helps.

I found this meditation and affirmation to be uplifting. I hope you will, too.

The tarot cards gave me a bit of a challenge today because they all see so opposite. Hopefully, I found the right message in them.

How odd for the King of Pentacles to show up at a time when we are all stretched to the limit trying to purchase gifts for loved ones, not to mention the added food expense. So, this gave me pause. However, the past position makes a little more sense to me.

The King of Pentacles indicates that you are confident and successful at attracting and managing wealth. Not only do you identify opportunities for growth and success, but you also draw upon your self-discipline and control to manage your wealth and invest it wisely for the long term. The arrival of the King of Pentacles indicates that you can translate your vision into something tangible, practical, and often very lucrative. This card often indicates the final fulfillment of a creative task. (That I can relate to) Through diligence, responsibility, and attention to detail, you can finally say that you have completed your task or attained your goal. You can now enjoy all that you have accomplished and the successes you have created. A methodical, planned, and well-thought-out approach will lead you to success.

The Seven of Cups has shown up for us several times, and it is all about making choices. There is so much available to us, and what we decide will determine our next step. But be careful! You can be prone to illusion and unrealistic ideals. An opportunity with promises of more money, more fame, or more power may sound appealing, but as you look deeper into what is on offer, you may realize it’s not everything it’s cracked up to be. Your ego may pull you in a specific direction, but it’s important you check in with your Higher Self first. Evaluate your options and dig below the surface to discover what’s involved with each choice.

Finally, The Hermit advises us to take a break from everyday life and draw our energy inward. You realize that your most profound sense of truth and knowledge is within yourself and not in the distractions of the outside world. You leave behind the mundane to set off on a journey of self-discovery, led only by your inner wisdom and guiding light. When you allow yourself to tune in to your inner guiding light, you will hear the answers you need and grow wise beyond your years. Find your light, shine it on your soul and create your unique path. You will see what lies ahead of you – not miles upon miles, but enough to know where to step next. From there, take one step at a time. This card may appear when you are at a pivotal point in your life and considering a new direction. It also represents the desire to turn away from a consumerist or materialistic society to focus on your inner world.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Winding down to the end of 2022, I hope we can all look back and see that we’ve had some measure of success, either financially or by completing creative projects using the tried and true ways that work for each of us. Learning what works comes from trial and error, choosing different avenues, and always striving for the path that enhances our best selves. Also, at the end of the year, it’s a good idea to set aside some time for honest introspection led by our inner guiding light. Never lose sight of what’s most important this time of year when we are bombarded with consumerism.

Look what a gorgeous little dragon we have to accompany our message today!

Crystal-Yellow Dragon - Opens you to higher learning and wisdom. Expand your crown chakra for illumination. Walk the higher spiritual path.

That’s it for today! Make it a great week!

Welcome to another Monday filled with motivation for a great week ahead!

I found this short meditation to be uplifting and a great start to my day!

I was drawn back to the Runes for this week’s reading.

The rune in the first position (past) is Gifu also known as Gebo. It is the rune of gifts and generosity. Primarily it signifies an exchange between people that necessarily results in a connection between the giver and receiver. It can represent both tangible and intangible gifts, such as emotional support. This rune invites you to accept wholeheartedly, and with gratitude, the gifts that are presented to you. At the same time, you are encouraged to consider your own giving. Are you reciprocating sufficiently to honor what you’ve received? Gifu can also refer to gifts from the higher realms, particularly in the context of skills and talents. Perhaps you’ve discovered a new passion you have a natural ability for.

Mannaz sits in the second or present position. It is the rune of humankind and symbolizes the characteristics that set humans apart from the rest of Earth’s living creatures, the ability to create for the sake of creativity itself. This rune reminds us we are all a part of a shared experience among all humans. Mannaz can also represent the self, with particular emphasis on one’s inner being. In keeping with the flow of Gifu, Mannaz also symbolizes assistance from others. Its shape evokes a sense of mutual support, of two individuals coming together to stabilize each other. Be sure to remain open to accepting help from others at this time as well as being willing to lend a helping hand if needed.

In the third (future) position, Perthro reminds us to remain vigilant for the truth behind any matter. Things are not always as they seem on the surface. You are advised to pay attention to the signs and signals your intuition is picking up on. Under the auspice of this rune, it is a great time to pursue any esoteric interests. If you’ve been struggling with a stubborn conundrum, Perthro advocates going within to find the answers you seek. Clearing your mind allows the enlightenment you need to arise naturally, without effort. Trust the mysteries of the unknown. All will be revealed in due time.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Giving and receiving are a natural flow in life. Many of us struggle with receiving, yet are able to give freely. When it is not equally reciprocated, it throws everything out of balance. And, as always, the deepest truth lies deep within each of us. With a clear mind, we can easily access these truths. I hope this sets the tone for the week ahead. Giving and receiving equally create a comfortable balance and in that balance, we can more easily access our truth!

And now for our beautiful little Dragon inspiration, which flows quite nicely with the rune reading.

Welcome to the beginning of another new week. Today’s meditation is designed to bring a deep sense of peace and well-being.

Here is the Rune Reading for the upcoming week.

It is hard to tell from the photo, but the rune in the first position on the left is Tiwaz or Tir, the arrow. It represents courage, victory, strength, passion, and masculine energy. It indicates that you may have recently taken up a cause and are ready to fight for what you believe in. It is a rune of extreme motivation, showing a strength of will and a singleness of mind that can enable you to overcome all odds.

In the middle or present position is Uruz, another rune of strength, health, power, and energy. You have the strength to persevere through any challenge as well as defend yourself against adversaries. If you are pursuing a dream, this rune suggests that there is enough momentum behind you to bring it into manifested form. Summon your connection to divine energy and trust that you will be guided to channel your personal power toward a positive outcome.

In the last or future position is Mannaz, the rune that represents humanity. This rune reminds us that we are part of a shared experience among all humans, no matter our specific language, physical appearance, or beliefs. Oftentimes, this rune is pointing to some aspect of tension in the relationship between your inner self and your perceived place in the outer world. You may be feeling at odds with the attitudes and expectations of society.

My Takeaway:

With two runes that indicate power and strength, there is no doubt we are capable of handling whatever might come our way. And we should never separate ourselves from our fellow human travelers. We are all in this game together and it is easy these days to feel at odds with the attitudes and expectations of society.

What a gorgeous Dragon card for springtime!

Wow! This entire reading was just for me. I am in the process of putting together the presentation to honor Rick and his music for The Western Film Festival and am struggling with technology I need to successfully create a video with clips from the very early sixties of him and his band. I managed to take the clips off a VCR tape to a DVD and that’s as far as I got. When I tried to download it to my computer, it tells me there is nothing on the disc and yet it will play on the DVD player, so I know it’s there. However, I will persevere! I have the power and strength to figure it out. And, as the Dragon card says, I need to stay balanced and ground my visions while manifesting my hopes and dreams!

Have a great week!

This is one of the more powerful and beautiful short meditations I’ve found recently. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The Tarot Reading for the week focuses on our spiritual body.

Do you know how rare it is to have all of one suit come up in a reading? Here we have all Wands, and if you remember from our study of the cards, Wands represent our spirituality, inspiration, determination, strength, intuition, creativity, ambition and expansion, and original thought.

The Four of Wands is a card of joyful celebration, blissful happiness and appreciation for the good things in life. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, it is the perfect time to celebrate with those you love most. In numerology, four symbolizes stability and firm foundations, and with the Four of Wands, you are now enjoying a period of happiness and security. This card indicates a sense of harmony and balance as well as completion and thus denotes a time of peace and contentment in life that comes as the result of hard-fought efforts.

The Eight of Wands is a dynamic card, containing a high level of energy that propels you forward to reach your goals at a much faster pace than ever before. You can expect to be very busy, but this is one of those ‘good busy’ periods during which you are enthusiastic about the progress you are making. It encourages you to go with the flow; don’t resist it. Everything is moving fast right now, so make the most of this forward momentum to manifest your goals and dreams. Allow the energy of the Universe to flow through you and propel you closer to your goal. Be laser-focused with your intentions and actions.

When the Knight of Wands card appears in a Tarot reading, you are charged up with energy, passion, motivation, and enthusiasm, and you channel that energy through your inspired action. You have a clear vision about what you want to create and, fueled by your passion and inspiration, you are now moving forward with leaps and bounds to turn your vision into reality. This card is your sign to go for it!

Wow! That’s a lot of energy!

My Takeaway: Be thankful for your loved ones and celebrate them in your life, then be ready for a big burst of energy that will propel you into whatever you are focused on. Go with the flow and let your passion, motivation and enthusiasm carry you through this week!

On a personal level, I have ditched one writing project temporarily for another story that is demanding my full attention. So, I’m going to take all of this passion and energy and run with it! The working title of the new story is “A Beggar’s Bargain” and it is set in the 1940s. I’m super excited and inspired!

What about you? Are you feeling this energy? Let’s talk!

And look at this gorgeous dragon! Wow! I love the lotus flower in the heart center.

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #RuneReading #DragonOracleCard

Good Monday Morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! As we look at the week ahead, I see an overarching theme beginning with the quote.

Created in Canva

The meditation I chose to share today is different and was extremely powerful for me. Do you believe we have a team that assists us from other dimensions? Regardless of your beliefs, I think you’ll find this meditation to be amazing.

Returning to the Runes for reading this week, I am struck once again with the accuracy of what comes up.

Anytime the Wunjo symbol comes up in a reading, I get excited as this is the symbol I chose to use in my entire White Rune Series. It is a very positive rune and translates to joy and harmony, especially in regard to relationships. How appropriate for Valentine’s Day! One thing this rune reminds us of is the importance of focusing on the positive. When we focus on the negative, it brings more negative into our lives. It is the Law of Attraction. If you find yourself feeling down or out of sorts, take a step back and look at what you are focusing on. Remember, thoughts are as powerful as actions and words. Sometimes we need to readjust our thinking.

Perthro sitting in the middle of this reading indicates mystery, secrets, or things hidden. It may indicate that things are not as they appear outwardly and that perhaps something previously unknown is about to be revealed. This could be a secret you or someone else is keeping, or it may indicate a spiritual truth. If you’ve been wrestling with a stubborn conundrum, Perthro may be signaling the need to go within to find the answers you seek. Spent time in meditation, go for a long walk, or find other ways to attune with the Universal energies.

In the final position, Fehu most often concerns money or other moveable wealth. It is an indication of general abundance and rewards. It may indicate that a financial boost is coming your way. Or it may indicate good health, plenty of food, and love. Abundance comes in many forms. The main message here is to give thanks for what you have and share your good fortune with others.

My Takeaway:

Focus on positive loving energy, seek unknown truths and share your bounty with others, whether this is physically or energetically. A smile can go a long way toward brightening someone’s day.

On a more personal note, if you are fortunate enough to still have a physical partner in life, make sure they know how much you appreciate them.

Your thoughts?

This may be my favorite Dragon Oracle Card so far! Just stunning!

Today’s meditation I found to be particularly relaxing. I hope you enjoy it too.

And now for the Tarot Reading for the week.

The Page of Cups suggests a new idea or opportunity has come to you out of the blue. Your creative energy is flowing, and now the question is how you will express it. It invites you to have an open and curious mind. Be open to anything – including a fish popping its head out of a cup! It is with a curious mind that you will discover new aspects of life and yourself. Open your mind to all possibilities, especially those of a creative or intuitive nature, you will be pleasantly surprised. This card often appears when you are being called to trust your intuition and be open to the multitude of intuitive messages coming your way.

The stern and regal Emperor comes from the Major Arcana. The Emperor represents a powerful leader who demands respect and authority. Status, power, and recognition are essential to you, and you are most comfortable in a leadership role where you can command and direct others. As a leader, you rule with a firm but fair hand. You have a clear vision of what you want to create, and you organize those around you to manifest your goal. You listen to the advice of others, but you prefer to have the final say. The Emperor also reflects a system bound by rules and regulations. You create law and order by applying principles or guidelines to a specific situation. Create calm out of chaos by breaking down any problem into its parts and then mapping out the actions you need to take to resolve it. Be systematic, strategic, and highly organized in your approach, and stick to your plan until the end.

The Six of Cups is a card that takes you back to the happy memories from your past, whether as a child, teenager or young adult. You may simply be revisiting those memories in your mind, or you may travel back to your childhood home or reconnect with your childhood friends. Six is a harmony number and indicates cooperation in your relationships. You are ready to give and receive, without expectation. The Six of Cups can also refer to children in your life. It can suggest a pregnancy, a birth, and siblings who play nicely together. It may also be a sign that you are about to spend more time with young children, playing, laughing, and learning together. Children are often here to teach you something about yourself and can serve as great advisors. Kids also set good examples for how to stay present, open-minded, and curious. They see the world as a magical place and their hearts are open to the myriad of pleasures available to them.

MY TAKEAWAY:

I think as writers, we are always open to new creative ideas and nudges, but it seems this is a particularly auspicious time for beginning something new while staying within the boundaries of protocol and approaching with a systematic or organized mindset. Staying in harmony with others and keeping that mindset of our inner child will help keep it all lighthearted and pleasant.

For me personally, this reading really struck a chord as I am starting to work on a new series, but doing it in a completely different way. I’ve always been a pantser, just wrote the stories as they unfolded, but for this series, I am outlining and planning, but at the same time trying not to let it feel too heavy. Let me hear from you. Does this reading resonate with you in any way?

This Dragon card is just gorgeous. That’s all you can say about it.

The theme this week seems to be focused on patience. I loved this quote from Warren Buffett.

Created in Canva

Here’s a wonderful short meditation to give a focused and positive start to the day and week.

I was drawn back to the runes today for a reading. It’s been a while.

The rune in the past position is Perthro (Perdhro). It is considered to be the most mysterious of all the runes as scholars cannot agree on a clear meaning. In a rune cast, this rune often indicates something hidden that is about to come to light. It can also indicate that things are not as they seem. Perthro is associated with divination and the use of the runes as a means of discovering hidden knowledge. You are advised to pay attention to the signs and signals your intuition is picking up on.

In the middle, we have Ansuz which is the rune of communication, especially verbal. Messages, advice, or new information may be coming from external sources. Or, perhaps you are being asked to pay closer attention to the messages coming from your higher self. This certainly plays off the first rune about something which is hidden coming to light.

In the future position is Elhaz, which is the rune of defense and protection. It has a built-in protective force that discourages negative influences from affecting your personal experience. You are safe from danger but don’t take that for granted by being reckless with your actions. The strong message from this rune is, as long as you stay clear-minded, alert, and in touch with your intuition, you are headed for a positive outcome.

My Takeaway:

Not everything about a situation is known but if we pay attention and stay focused the truth will come to light and possibly in the form of communication, whether it be verbal or written. We are protected and can expect a positive outcome if we stay alert and clear.

And here’s another fabulous Dragon Oracle Card.

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #TarotReading – #DragonOracleCard

Happy Monday, everyone. I am thrilled to report that I am about 98% recovered from my tangle with COVID, thank goodness!! I appreciate all the well-wishes, prayers, and positive vibes you sent my way. I loved this quote from William Faulkner. It made me pause and think for a minute.

created in Canva

A beautiful meditation to help jumpstart the day!

The Tarot reading for this week is hopeful and solid.

The keywords for The Sun from the Major Arcana are: Positivity, fun, warmth, success, and vitality. You don’t know what a welcome sight this card is! If you are going through a difficult time (I certainly have been), The Sun brings you the message you have been waiting for: that things will get better, a lot better! Hallelujah! The Sun connects you to your power base – not fear-driven, egotistical power, but the abundant, inner energy radiating through you right now. You’ll sense it in your Solar Plexus chakra, calling you to express yourself authentically and be fully present in the world around you.

The King of Cups represents a balance of emotions, creativity, and the unconscious. When this card turns up in a Tarot reading, you have gained control of your feelings and can accept them without allowing them to get the better of you. Even when life throws you a curveball, you can draw on your emotional maturity and stability to help you navigate these challenges. You don’t let things get to you, and you steer clear of the drama, instead choosing an emotionally balanced and calm approach.

The Nine of Pentacles speaks of financial independence. The woman in this card has created a luxurious lifestyle by her own actions and efforts. She encourages you to do the same – to create abundance and independence so that you can take care of yourself in the long term. Invest wisely and seek financial advice to make the most of your wealth. Don’t rely on others to support you; this Nine is an independent woman. While the suit of Pentacles typically focuses on material wealth and gain, this card also suggests that you are in harmony with the environment around you. You appreciate the beauty and abundance found in nature, and you can harness this high-vibe energy to bring pleasure into your life.

My Takeaway:

What a welcome sight, these cards are. From the sun shining and bringing new vitality and creativity, to the emotionally balanced King of Cups and the secure and independent woman, this is a super positive reading and it reflects what I feel inside. I do not mean to downplay COVID. It’s a horrible nasty virus and it knocked me down hard. But, as the old saying goes, “it’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how you choose to get back up.”

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these cards today and hope they bring a ray of sunshine to your week!

There is nothing I can say about this Dragon Card, except that it is gorgeous!

#MotivationMonday – #Meditation – #TarotReading – #DragonCard

As most of you know, I’ve been ill. I tested negative for COVID but I am convinced what I’ve been dealing with is some form of the nasty virus. At any rate, today’s post is all just for me and I hope you get some good out of it as well. I do want to tell you on Wednesday when I was first getting sick and had a fever, I took my pieces of Black Tourmaline and Shungite to the bed with me and I believe with all my heart, they helped pull out the fever during the night.

Now for a healing meditation.

I feel that the tarot reading is especially for me, but again, I hope it resonates with at least a few.

Thank goodness the Eight of Swords sits in the past position as it indicates a feeling of helplessness. I can relate to that as the virus attacked my body, it was a struggle to keep my mind positive and not feel like a helpless victim. While being limited by circumstances, it did not mean I had to succumb to negative thinking patterns. Remember, that’s always a choice.

Interesting that the Two of Cups in the present position carries the Cadeceus, the universal symbol for medicine. In this reading, to me, the card represents accepting help from someone else, or consulting an expert to aid in healing. It can also represent two lovers or a partnership. Two of Cups is a sign you are both on the same wavelength and share a similar vision for the venture you are creating together. You may not have the same skills as each other, but you create a beautiful synergy when you work together. A friend of mine introduced me to Chaga Mushrooms, bringing a packet and leaving it on my door. I believe it is aiding in my healing process.

The Six of Swords symbolizes a state of transition, leaving behind what was familiar and moving towards the unknown. This change may be your own doing or forced upon you, and you may feel sad to leave behind what is so familiar to you. It invites you to gaze ahead to your future and choose the way most in alignment with your Highest Good and long-term potential. You will need to make tough decisions and compromises along the way; see it as a rite of passage. One of the most significant aspects of this card is the fact that the woman and child in the boat are not alone and not having to work to reach their destination.

My takeaway: Circumstances in life are often going to place us in a position of feeling helpless or like a victim, but always remember your thoughts about the circumstance are your choice. Don’t be afraid to ask for help in healing and remember you are never alone on this journey. There is an entire galactic team with us at all times and can only help when we ask.

Your thoughts? Make it a great week, no matter life’s circumstances.

This dragon card ignites the creativity inside each of us! Isn’t it gorgeous?

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #TarotReading #DragonCard

Welcome to another Monday of inspiration. My sincere hope is that you take something positive away from this post.

I wanted to start this week off with a mental clarity and found this beautiful meditation to help assist with that. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Great Meditation – YouTube

I love this week’s Tarot reading.

I get excited when I see The Fool come up in a reading. He is so carefree, on an adventure, and about to step blindly off the edge of a cliff. He is also the first card in the Major Arcana. It is a card of new beginnings, opportunities, and potential. The time is NOW! Take that leap of faith, even if you do not feel 100% ready or equipped for what is coming. This is a time of great potential and opportunity for you right now. The world is your oyster, and anything can happen. Use your creative mind with a dash of spontaneity to make the most of this magical time and bring forth your new ideas in powerful ways.

The Four of Pentacles reigns in The Fool just a little with a conservative approach and attitude toward money. It also comes with an admonition to steer clear of the “scarcity” thought pattern. The broader lesson with the Four of Pentacles is to honor and respect money and wealth but don’t become so attached that you lose sight of what’s most important to you: friends, family, happiness, and love.

The Lovers card is another energetic and exciting card. Most people look at it from the physical aspect of having or finding a new lover. But a deeper meaning is in regards to relationships in general and approaching them with open and honest communication. It can also indicate getting clear about your values and beliefs. You are figuring out what you stand for and your philosophy. At its heart, The Lovers is about choice. The choice about who you want to be in this lifetime, how you connect with others and on what level, and about what you will and won’t stand for.

MY TAKEAWAY: Beginning a new project with enthusiasm and oblivious energy is such an incredible feeling. For me, it applies on the writing level, as I am beginning a new series that is different from anything I’ve written. I’m taking that leap of faith and diving head-first off the cliff. Respecting and taking care of your money is a must in life, as is open and honest communication. So, I hope you will each take the energy of these three cards into your week and implement them in all of your actions.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

And for the Dragon Card, we have this gorgeous reminder about giving and receiving.
