Good Monday Morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! As we look at the week ahead, I see an overarching theme beginning with the quote.

The meditation I chose to share today is different and was extremely powerful for me. Do you believe we have a team that assists us from other dimensions? Regardless of your beliefs, I think you’ll find this meditation to be amazing.

Returning to the Runes for reading this week, I am struck once again with the accuracy of what comes up.

Anytime the Wunjo symbol comes up in a reading, I get excited as this is the symbol I chose to use in my entire White Rune Series. It is a very positive rune and translates to joy and harmony, especially in regard to relationships. How appropriate for Valentine’s Day! One thing this rune reminds us of is the importance of focusing on the positive. When we focus on the negative, it brings more negative into our lives. It is the Law of Attraction. If you find yourself feeling down or out of sorts, take a step back and look at what you are focusing on. Remember, thoughts are as powerful as actions and words. Sometimes we need to readjust our thinking.

Perthro sitting in the middle of this reading indicates mystery, secrets, or things hidden. It may indicate that things are not as they appear outwardly and that perhaps something previously unknown is about to be revealed. This could be a secret you or someone else is keeping, or it may indicate a spiritual truth. If you’ve been wrestling with a stubborn conundrum, Perthro may be signaling the need to go within to find the answers you seek. Spent time in meditation, go for a long walk, or find other ways to attune with the Universal energies.

In the final position, Fehu most often concerns money or other moveable wealth. It is an indication of general abundance and rewards. It may indicate that a financial boost is coming your way. Or it may indicate good health, plenty of food, and love. Abundance comes in many forms. The main message here is to give thanks for what you have and share your good fortune with others.

My Takeaway:

Focus on positive loving energy, seek unknown truths and share your bounty with others, whether this is physically or energetically. A smile can go a long way toward brightening someone’s day.

On a more personal note, if you are fortunate enough to still have a physical partner in life, make sure they know how much you appreciate them.

Your thoughts?

This may be my favorite Dragon Oracle Card so far! Just stunning!

I hope everyone had a safe and peaceful beginning to a new year that is filled with opportunities for prosperity and abundance. We are under the influence of a new moon, the perfect time to set intentions and goals. To start a new year under this auspice is powerful. Let’s make it count!

Here’s a meditation to get the year started off on the right foot.

As I have stated before, the cards I draw are random. I shuffle the cards from front to back until one pops up. These cards could not be more clearly scripted for the beginning of a new year and I am overwhelmed with the synchronicity!

Swords represent the mind or intellect. The number seven is the number of creation. On the Seven of Swords, we see a man moving forward with five swords in hand, while looking backward at two left behind. Many believe this card represents betrayal or deceit, but to me, it is the inability to move into the future without looking back at the past. Mental baggage often can weigh us down, preventing us to make constructive progress. At times the Seven of Swords suggests that you may need to put yourself first to get what you want, even if it means letting others down or putting others off-side.

The Three of Wands signals the many chances available to you to broaden your horizons through study, travel, business enterprise, and learning. You are becoming more aware of the opportunities that exist for you right now – and there are still more to come. To take advantage of this potential, you must stay committed to your path and be prepared to stretch beyond your comfort zone, knowing your best hopes lie outside of your current environment. It is time to think BIG. Consider what you can to open doors to more development and self-exploration. This card encourages you to dream bigger than your limitations. Accept your vision and be confident you will achieve it. The Three of Wands also brings your attention to the changes and challenges that lie ahead.

Temperance is the card for bringing balance, patience, and moderation into your life. You are being invited to stabilize your energy and to allow the life force to flow through you without force or resistance. It’s time to recover your flow and get your life back into order and balance.

This card calls on you to remain calm, even when life feels stressful or frantic. Maintain an even temperament and manage your emotions. You have learned to keep composed in stressful situations. Little things don’t get to you, thanks to your seemingly abundant source of patience. Your respect for balance and tranquillity is what will help you achieve and experience fulfillment in your life.

My takeaway: It is time to look forward to the future, learning from the past, but not holding on to it. Broaden your horizons, be open to opportunities, and with all things, have a healthy balance and maintain a sense of calm through the storms of life.

What a beautiful Dragon Card to help us begin a new year!

#MotivationMonday – #Meditation – #TarotReading – #DragonOracleCard

We are in the midst of a chaotic and busy time of the year. So, simply taking a few minutes to breathe and connect with Source can bring deep inner calm. The inspiration for today’s quote came from a vivid dream.

Here’s a short but effective meditation to help bring a deep sense of relaxation.

And, now for the Tarot Reading to help get the week started.

So appropriate for the season, the Three of Pentacles is a card of celebration, friendship, and creative collaborations. Your friends and family are here to support you and lift you up to even higher levels of success. Celebrate with them and enjoy their camaraderie. This indicates a very sociable period and I think most of us can relate to that. It is a very creative card and encourages creativity within a group environment.

The Page of Cups suggests a new idea or opportunity coming to you out of the blue. Your creative energy is flowing, and now the question is how you will express it. This card invites you to have an open and curious mind. Be open to anything – including a fish popping its head out of a cup! It is with a curious mind that you will discover new aspects of life and yourself. Open your mind to all possibilities, especially those of a creative or intuitive nature, you will be pleasantly surprised.

The Page of Swords takes the Page of Cups to a more active level. When this card shows up in a Tarot reading, you are bursting with new ideas and plans for the future. You may be excited about starting a new project, pursuing a new approach, or learning something new. You have so much energy that you feel as though you could do almost anything – and you can! The challenge, however, is whether you can keep it up. As with all Pages, the beginning always looks promising, but you need something else to follow through and keep up the pace.

My takeaway:

Even in the midst of celebrations, family gatherings, and joyous occasions, creative ideas are flowing, so keep an open mind. Don’t be surprised if you get a creative idea in the midst of Christmas dinner. 🙂 Go ahead and jot it down. Then as soon as you can, begin the new project with enthusiasm and settle in for the long haul to see it to fruition!

Another gorgeous Dragon Card to share.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WEEK!!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonCard

Hello, November! This year is flying past. The theme for this week’s post is all about using our full potential. My thanks to Author, Erika Kind for the quote for the week.

The meditation today truly inspired me and I hope it will have the same effect on you. Let’s unlock our highest potential!

The reading for the week comes from the Tarot Cards and when I was pulling them, an extra one popped out, so I am going with it.

The Page of Swords is an action card and it is sitting in the past position. It is full of enthusiasm and passion. Perhaps you started a new project full of anticipation and excitement. The challenge with this card is to keep up the momentum. The Page of Swords often emerges when you are exploring a new way of thinking – a new idea, a new perspective, new knowledge, or a new technique. I don’t know about you, but with all of the craziness around the world, a new perspective is often necessary for peace of mind.

Next, in the present position, The Two of Wands takes a spark of inspiration and turns it into a clear action plan. It is the exact opposite of the sword in that it is contemplation rather than action. You look to the future and take in all possibilities before taking a step. It is more about long-term goals. The Twos in Tarot often represent decisions of some sort. With this two, you may make a choice between sticking with what you know or taking a risk.

In the future position, we have the Five and Seven of Cups. The Five of Cups can often indicate the feeling of disappointment or failure. But at the same time, is telling us to look away from what we might consider to be a failure and instead focus on new possibilities or opportunities. We’ve had the Seven of Cups before, and you may remember that symbolizes endless choices and possibilities. There is so much to choose from, yet it comes with a warning of caution in your decision. Make wise choices. Often, the Seven of Cups can be a sign of wishful thinking and projecting into the future about what you would like to create, rather than taking action here in the present to make it happen. Now is a time to focus on the one thing that will move you closer to your goal; resist the temptation to get side-tracked with other ideas as they arise. If need be, note your ideas as they come up, but stay focused on the one thing you’re doing.

My Takeaway:

With fresh enthusiasm and passion for a project, we are asked to look at the long-term goals, or the bigger picture before taking any action. At the same time, we are cautioned not to focus on what we might perceive to be failures or disappointment but, instead, look at the opportunities presented to us and make wise choices and unlock our highest potential. Make it a great week!

Another gorgeous Dragon Card message for the week!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and are ready to tackle another week!

I love that quote from Maya Angelou. We spend so much of our lives trying to fit in and often deny the deepest parts of ourselves. The meditation I chose for today is a practice in simply ‘being.’ I enjoyed it and hope you will too.

And now for this week’s Tarot reading.

The Moon card is from the Major Arcana and represents our deepest fears or illusions. The Moon can indicate a time of uncertainty and illusion when nothing is what it seems. Be careful of making fast decisions when the Moon appears because you may later realize you only had half the information you needed. You need to listen to and trust your intuition so you can see beyond what is in front of you. Feel into situations rather than thinking what they mean. Let go of your conscious mental blocks or negative self-talk and allow your intuition to guide you. This card is also a reminder to pay attention to the lunar cycles. We are currently under the influence of a new moon – a time for setting goals and intentions. It is the time to plant seeds for the future. The Nine of Pentacles is the card of abundance. You’ve worked hard and now perhaps it is a time to reap the harvest. It also indicates being at one in harmony with what is around you. You can see from the character’s demeanor on the card, there is complete peace, along with plenty of everything needed. Is it just me, or do we get a lot of Aces in these readings? The Ace of Swords indicates breakthroughs, new ideas, mental clarity, and success. It is a wave of new energy from the intellectual realm. See this card as a sign of encouragement. Your mind is in expansion mode and indicates an excellent time to start an exciting new project.

So to wrap it up, we are encouraged to take time to get the facts about any situation that requires a decision, set your goals and intentions for the next moon cycle, be open to reaping your harvest and having abundance, and don’t be surprised if an exciting new idea comes at you out of the clear blue.

Make it a great week!

Happy Monday and happy start to a new week!

And now for our Tarot Reading for the upcoming week.

There is a lot of energy floating around out there this week, starting with the Knight of Wands. As you can see just from the horse’s demeanor, he is raring to go! This card indicates energy, passion, motivation, and enthusiasm. Sounds like a good start to me. However, be mindful that the Knight of Wands can express himself as an ‘act first, think later’ type of person. In your pursuit of action, you may be impulsive and impatient, expecting everything to be done yesterday. Me? Never! 🙂 The Page of Swords is all about new ideas, a thirst for knowledge, or new ways of communicating. Along with the Knight of Wands, the Page of Swords is also a huge energy and passion card. When this card shows up, you may be bursting at the seams with new ideas or plans for the future. And, as Swords can relate to communication, it can suggest that you are finding a new way to express yourself and are excited to try it out. Then, the Queen of Cups reins it all in with her beautiful sense of calm and balance. In this reading, she is encouraging you to take the energy of these new ideas, projects, or new ways of thinking and find a flow. You are being asked to trust your intuition and pay attention to your feelings and emotions. Lead with your heart, not your head. Be open to receive the intuitive messages flowing to you, be it through your dreams, meditation or visualization. And ‘feel the feels’, even if those feelings are tricky or challenging. You are stronger than you know. Wow! I don’t know about you, but this reading really resonates with me. I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for joining us for another positive start to a new week!

Good morning. It’s another Monday and the beginning of a brand new week. The thought expressed in this image struck me as profound and I hope you enjoy it as well.

For our Monday Meditation, I’ve chosen something a little different. This meditation is a few minutes longer than what I’ve been posting, but still under 15 minutes. It is filled with affirmations guaranteed to uplift you!

And now for our Tarot Reading to set the tone for the week ahead.

Tarot Reading 4-26-21 by Jan Sikes

The Six of Swords is indicative of some sort of a transition. But the thing to note here is that the woman and child in the boat are receiving assistance with the passage. It can indicate leaving behind what is familiar and moving toward the unknown. But again, not alone. The Chariot is often looked at as the card of travel, but it is multi-dimensional in that it shows great willpower, determination and strength. It can be taken as a sign of encouragement, and in this reading following the Six of Swords, shows strength to leave behind the familiar and move toward the unknown with confidence and strength. But, without any doubt, it is an action card. It is not a time to be passive, but to move forward with purpose. The Knight of Cups is a beautiful outcome card indicating love and compassion pouring through you. It can also indicate the opening of creative expression, as well as possible new relationships coming into your life. So, in conclusion, the cards are telling us to leave behind the familiar with strength and confidence and look forward to new relationships or creativity. I don’t know about you, but I love this and am excited to see what’s ahead over the next few days!

Make it a great week and thank you for joining in!

Welcome to another start to a new work week. It is my hope that you find some inspiration to lift you as you begin. I loved these words of wisdom from Sue Vincent. They struck a chord with me.

The Eyes of others may see beyond the insecurities that keep us blind to ourselves. A quote from Sue Vincent. Meme created by Jan Sikes

Our meditation this week is all about the practice of gratitude. Enjoy!

And now for our message from the Tarot cards for the upcoming week.

Tarot Card reading by Jan Sikes for week of April 19, 2021.
Tarot Card Reading by Jan Sikes 4-19-21

The King of Swords is a powerfully energetic card, as are the three cards which follow him. The suit of Swords represents the intellect. Being the highest card in the suit, the King is a symbol of intellectual power and authority and has the courage and acumen to achieve all that he desires. He indicates the opportunity for clarity and an objective point of view. He can also represent a person of authority that you might call on for expert advice.

The Wands are representative of our spirituality, intuition and creativity. The Ace is always some new beginning, new idea, new inspiration or new project. Just look at the force with which the hand is protruding through the cloud to bring an enlightened vision or idea. The Eight of Wands is all about movement. There is no standing still! It is a dynamic high-energy card pushing you forward with the idea the Ace brings. You can expect to be very busy. 🙂 Determine what you want to manifest and then align all of your resources and energy to focus on that singular goal. Remove all distractions and devote yourself to the task with total concentration, determination and will. This experience can be highly productive, allowing you to accomplish a lot in a short time.

There you go! Make this week productive, positive and filled with clarity!

See you next week!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading

Welcome to another Monday post to help get your week started off on a positive note. I took these words from the meditation I’m sharing with you today. They resonated deeply with me. We owe it to ourselves to live the best life possible, in this body, in this moment.

And now, Part Three of the Self-Love Series. This meditation is SO powerful. It is one I will return to often. Enjoy!

The Tarot Reading for this week is filled with more positive energy! I love all of these cards!

We have two Wands cards this week, and you may remember from our Tarot card series, that wands represent spirituality, inspiration, determination, creativity, ambition and expansion, original thought and the seeds through which life springs forth. I associate the Wands with Springtime. The Page of Wands symbolizes inspiration, discovery or a new idea. He indicates limitless potential. And I believe we ALL have limitless potential if we can learn to access it and trust the process. The King of Wands represents pure fire energy in its masculine form. It is a sign you are stepping into the role of a visionary leader, ready to direct your people towards a common goal (And this could be in a story you are writing). You have a clear vision of where you want to go, and now you are manifesting that vision with the support of those around you. Also, the King of Wands reminds you to lead your life with intent, vision and a long-term view (finish that book!). The final card in this week’s reading brings it all into a perfect balance. The Empress signifies a strong connection with our femininity, which translates in many ways – elegance, sensuality, fertility, creative expression, nurturing – and is necessary for creating balance in both men and women. The Empress calls on you to connect with your feminine energy. Create beauty in your life. Connect with your senses through taste, touch, sound, smell and sight. Draw on these senses to experience pleasure and deep fulfilment. Isn’t that exactly what we, as authors, attempt to do in our writing? A great week ahead with new inspirations, the masculine fire energy to manifest and the feminine energy to balance and soften.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and invite your comments!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #TarotReading

Welcome to another Monday, and another opportunity to begin your week on a positive vibration.

Continuing with Part 2 of the Self-Love Meditation series, today’s focus is on gratitude. Enjoy!

And now on to our Tarot Reading for the week.

The Six of Cups is one of my favorite feel-good cards. The cups are overflowing with flowers and sharing one with someone else is such a wonderful thing to do. It reflects innocence of childhood and joy. It can also represent revisiting someone from your childhood. I just see it is a benevolent card. The Nine of Pentacles is a gorgeous card and exudes abundance, self-sufficiency and financial independence. It can represent a reward for hard work. While the suit of Pentacles typically focuses on material wealth and gain, this card also suggests that you are in harmony with the environment around you. You appreciate the beauty and abundance found in nature, and you can harness this high-vibe energy to bring pleasure into your life. You may enjoy gardening or floristry, or you may just like to pass your time in the beauty of nature with picnics or walks in the park. The Strength card is pretty self-explanatory. It represents strength, determination, and power. But it speaks to an inner strength, not an outer. You are fueled by your inner strength, personal power, strong will and determination. You can control a situation without excessive, outward force. No one knows it’s you calling the shots. It looks to be a powerful week ahead, incorporating benevolence and sharing, having gratitude for your abundance of blessings in life and strength to do whatever needs doing.

I’d love to hear from you! Thoughts?
