#MotivationMonday – #Meditation – #TarotCardReading #AngelOracleCard

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I enjoyed spending Mother’s Day with my daughters and grandchildren. There’s nothing better!

This quote from Tennessee Williams touched me, and I hope it will you as well.

There are so many wonderful meditations on YouTube to choose from, and I found a new source today.

Our weekly reading indicates a mixture of possible events.

The Two of Cups indicates a partnership or sharing of ideas and emotions. The meeting of two brings balance and harmony to a nurturing relationship. This card indicates you are ready to or have taken an existing connection to a deeper level. The lion symbolizes passion and protection from above, while the caduceus evokes balance in communication.

The Sun always brings clarity and enthusiasm. Often the sun will appear after a dark period, illuminating murky situations and dispelling confusion and doubt. Seeing the world through the eyes of a child or connecting to your own inner child is a rewarding and productive way to utilize this card’s energy. The Sun card brings renewed vitality and improved health. Be on the lookout for any opportunities that may come your way, as they may prove to be very beneficial.

The Six of Swords is often referred to as The Ferryman card. It is indicative of moving forward on a healing journey, leaving behind what no longer works for you. And you are not alone. While the water is choppy on one side of the boat, what lies ahead on the other side is peaceful and serene. It’s not always easy to make this journey and release old patterns. But the effort is worthwhile, and it’s comforting to know we are never alone. This card may also indicate physical travel.

MY TAKEAWAY:

The Two of Cups describes my Mother’s Day yesterday. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family and deepen our connection through honest communication and sharing of love. I’m always happy to see The Sun card as it dispels darkness and brings optimism and clarity. And when can we not use that? I need it every day! We’ve had the Six of Swords before, and it is always a sign of moving forward and releasing the past. I love that we are moving toward something better. That should always be our goal in life.

What about you? Do any of these cards speak to you?

Here is our beautiful Angel card for the week.

Clairsentience
Archangel Raguel: "Notice your recurring physical and emotional feelings, as they signify Divine guidance."

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend. Time to take a look at the week ahead. This quote from E.B. White hit me right in the gut!

The meditation I chose for today goes along with the quote.

This is such an energetic Tarot spread this week!

Pages are often seen as messengers. The Page of Wands is full of youthful energy and may represent a child or younger person or even a message from your own inner child urging you to be playful and adventurous. This Page is grounded yet playful, and someone who sees the world through a lens of curiosity. Good news, possibly through email, texts, phone calls or direct conversations, is coming your way. Be open to creative experiences, new opportunities, and expressing yourself in ways that feel fresh and dynamic. If you’ve been feeling very busy and need to prioritize your tasks, implement time-management practices and make sure you deliver on your promises.

The Judgement card is indicative of you taking the next step in your personal growth, accepting yourself and releasing the past. The process of releasing judgment of yourself is often the hardest thing we have to do, yet so essential in moving forward on the journey. Be willing to accept your past, then release it so you can enjoy what life is bringing to you next. Don’t allow past mistakes to rule your present or your future. The Judgement card contains all the elements of the cycle of surrender-release-forgive. In this process, you allow yourself to move on from the past and into a more vibrant future.

Another messenger card, The Page of Pentacles, may represent working at the beginning stages of a project or starting down a new path. What you are working toward is grounded in reality and can grow unto lasting abundance with focus and steady effort. Stay steadfast in your vision and know that the beginning stages can often be frustrating, causing you to lose patience. Listen to your intuition to guide you to the next practical steps to propel yourself forward.

MY TAKEAWAY:

To me, these cards are pretty straightforward, and I most definitely resonate with each of them. I’ve felt as if I’m at a crossroads in my writing career and ready to make some changes. So, the advice to be aware of incoming new opportunities is encouraging and uplifting. Letting go of past mistakes, and allowing self-forgiveness is an essential cycle in growing and moving forward. Focusing on your vision and taking practical steps to reach a goal is a great message this week! Let’s embrace it! I’d love to hear your thoughts.

And what an appropriate and gorgeous Angel Card!!

Patience
Archangel Jophiel: "Your dreams are blooming more rapidly than you realize. Still, the need nurturing and patience."

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

As the holidays get closer, the frantic pace of life around us seems to increase. I hope this post today will serve as a reminder to take the time to stay focused, grounded, and centered through it all. A good sense of humor also helps.

I found this meditation and affirmation to be uplifting. I hope you will, too.

The tarot cards gave me a bit of a challenge today because they all see so opposite. Hopefully, I found the right message in them.

How odd for the King of Pentacles to show up at a time when we are all stretched to the limit trying to purchase gifts for loved ones, not to mention the added food expense. So, this gave me pause. However, the past position makes a little more sense to me.

The King of Pentacles indicates that you are confident and successful at attracting and managing wealth. Not only do you identify opportunities for growth and success, but you also draw upon your self-discipline and control to manage your wealth and invest it wisely for the long term. The arrival of the King of Pentacles indicates that you can translate your vision into something tangible, practical, and often very lucrative. This card often indicates the final fulfillment of a creative task. (That I can relate to) Through diligence, responsibility, and attention to detail, you can finally say that you have completed your task or attained your goal. You can now enjoy all that you have accomplished and the successes you have created. A methodical, planned, and well-thought-out approach will lead you to success.

The Seven of Cups has shown up for us several times, and it is all about making choices. There is so much available to us, and what we decide will determine our next step. But be careful! You can be prone to illusion and unrealistic ideals. An opportunity with promises of more money, more fame, or more power may sound appealing, but as you look deeper into what is on offer, you may realize it’s not everything it’s cracked up to be. Your ego may pull you in a specific direction, but it’s important you check in with your Higher Self first. Evaluate your options and dig below the surface to discover what’s involved with each choice.

Finally, The Hermit advises us to take a break from everyday life and draw our energy inward. You realize that your most profound sense of truth and knowledge is within yourself and not in the distractions of the outside world. You leave behind the mundane to set off on a journey of self-discovery, led only by your inner wisdom and guiding light. When you allow yourself to tune in to your inner guiding light, you will hear the answers you need and grow wise beyond your years. Find your light, shine it on your soul and create your unique path. You will see what lies ahead of you – not miles upon miles, but enough to know where to step next. From there, take one step at a time. This card may appear when you are at a pivotal point in your life and considering a new direction. It also represents the desire to turn away from a consumerist or materialistic society to focus on your inner world.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Winding down to the end of 2022, I hope we can all look back and see that we’ve had some measure of success, either financially or by completing creative projects using the tried and true ways that work for each of us. Learning what works comes from trial and error, choosing different avenues, and always striving for the path that enhances our best selves. Also, at the end of the year, it’s a good idea to set aside some time for honest introspection led by our inner guiding light. Never lose sight of what’s most important this time of year when we are bombarded with consumerism.

Look what a gorgeous little dragon we have to accompany our message today!

Crystal-Yellow Dragon - Opens you to higher learning and wisdom. Expand your crown chakra for illumination. Walk the higher spiritual path.

That’s it for today! Make it a great week!

Today’s post will be a little different. Just remember I go with what I am given. Almost always, the message is for me, and I can only hope it resonates with someone else as well. The inspiration for today’s post came from a blog post that C.S. Boyack wrote. If you’re interested, here’s the link: https://coldhandboyack.wordpress.com/2022/09/23/sage-grouse/

I can distinctly remember the first time I realized life wasn’t fair for everyone and it broke my heart. Then the first time I realized that not everyone was honest, my heart broke again. Little by little my naivete and innocence got stripped away. This sweet meditation took me back to my child self, full of innocence, wonder, and trust. Life has worked hard to deprogram that out of us.

I only pulled one card today, and this is what I got.

The Ten of Cups embodies happiness, joy, and emotional contentment, particularly in your relationships and family. You have created an abundance of love and happiness in your life, and you now share this love with others, expanding your heart even more. This card often appears when you are surrounded by your loved ones with whom you share a powerful and deep connection. You appreciate and support one another, and together, you help each other reach your highest potential. It brings you so much joy to see your loved ones succeed and live happy lives.

The Ten of Cups is the ‘happy family’ card, suggesting that your family relationships are harmonious and loving right now. No one is fighting or causing any tension; all family members are getting along with each other and sharing in the love and happiness that surrounds you. This card may appear in a reading when you are spending more time with family, perhaps on a holiday, reunion, or event, where you can rest and relax together, creating fun and happy family memories and strong bonds.

The Ten of Cups encourages you to follow your heart and trust your intuition to lead you to the opportunities aligned with your Highest Good. Your feelings and emotions will guide you. When something feels fantastic, do more of it; and when something doesn’t feel right, do less of it. Allow your inner guidance to lead the way. Seek out opportunities that fulfill you and align with your personal values instead of following the path that others expect you to take.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Honestly, there isn’t anything I can add to that. I think we are being reminded just how important family is, even though sometimes we may not understand them or even like them. We chose them. They chose us. On the other hand, we have adopted families, and the same applies.

And this little dragon adds a bit more to the theme and message.

Lilac and Fire Dragon. Transmutes through the power of divine love. Open up to transcendent love and enlightenment. Purity of heart brings peace, hope and joy.

I hope you have a great week ahead! Embrace your family and try to find the carefree child you once were.

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #RuneOracleCard #DragonOracleCard

Good morning beautiful souls! I missed you last week while I was away. We had a jam-packed week of fun in the Florida sun at Universal Studios and Volcano Bay. The kiddos loved it. They are big Harry Potter fans, so that was a big treat for them.

Now it’s back to the real world, although I will be away again next Monday.

Within the structure of our Universe, there is a perfect balance. This meditation brings such a state of peaceful harmony, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I recently bought a new deck of Oracle cards and wanted to use them in the weekly reading.

Photo by Jan Sikes Rune Oracle Cards

The card I drew for this week is Isa. I added the actual rune with this symbol to the photo.

The meaning of Isa is Ice. The keyword is intuition.

Odin holds a stick on the end of which shines a transparent stone as if might have been carved from ice. This symbolizes the purity of truth. There is such power in this card. He almost looks angry and most certainly determined. I love all the different colors and symbols on his robe.

The rune is associated with thought and intuition. We might have unexpected flashes of awareness occur that can pierce the veil of illusion and sometimes cause turmoil, both internal and external.

Courage and moral strength are needed to be able to sustain our truth unwaveringly.

Isa protects us from overly harsh criticism and enhances our critical thinking and self-esteem.

My Takeaway:

This is pretty straightforward. The truth is our strength in any and every situation. Unexpected awareness can shake us out of our comfort zones. Harsh criticism is something we, as authors, often experience. I think the message in this is to remain unwaveringly in our truth, keep our self-esteem and never stop believing in our stories.

What a lovely Dragon Card showed up today!

Quan Yin's Pink Dragon brings firm love that resets your karmic balance. See all your cords dissolved by transcendent love. Enjoy your freedom. Look for the divine around you.

I wish you a great week ahead! Keep your balance!

What a powerful tarot spread this week! Take a look!

I don’t recall ever drawing the Queen and King of Swords together, but I did today.

The Queen of Swords represents independent clear thinking. She is a no-nonsense influence, seeking truth with unbiased judgment. When interacting with others, she will not tolerate mistruths or excessive ‘fluff’. She prefers to get to the heart of the matter without engaging in too much chit-chat or gossip. She is a quick thinker and highly perceptive, piercing through the noise and confusion to get straight to the point. While she maintains empathy for others, she also will not tolerate any kind of deception. It’s not that she doesn’t care, she simply doesn’t have time for anyone who is not 100% true and authentic.

The King of Swords is the ultimate symbol of intellectual power and authority. He has the courage and intellect to achieve all that he desires. When this card appears in a Tarot reading, you are in your power, ruling from a place of authority and respect. You stand firm in your truth and express yourself with deep conviction. As a result, others pay attention to what you have to say. Under the influence of this mighty king, you have a clarity of mind and can perceive the truth, so it is up to you to take the lead by providing an objective point of view and making decisions based on impartial judgment. Sounds like the perfect match for his queen, doesn’t it? As a professional advisor, he may come across as detached or disinterested in your personal circumstances unless it relates specifically to his skillset. This is so he can provide only the most relevant guidance to you.

Both the King and Queen lead from the head, not the heart.

The Wheel of Fortune reminds you that the wheel is always turning and life is in a state of constant change. If you’re going through a difficult time rest assured that it will get better from here. Good luck and good fortune will make their return in time. Similarly, if things are going well, know this, too, will change. This cycle shows why it is so important to cherish the blissful moments in your life and make the most of them while they are within reach – because in a flash they could be gone. The Wheel of Fortune is also known as the wheel of karma and reminds you that ‘what goes around comes around.’ Be a kind and loving person to others, and they’ll be kind and loving to you. Be nasty and mean, and you will get nasty and mean turning back your way. So, if you want happiness and abundance, make sure you’re sending out that positive juju in kind. What you send out into the Universe will come back your way. The Wheel of Fortune card asks you to be optimistic and have faith that the Universe will take care of your situation in the best way possible. Meditation and visualization can reinforce your intention to bring increased abundance, good fortune, and prosperity to you.

MY TAKEAWAY:

This week calls for clear unemotional thinking and acting from a point of truth without judgment. Be kind to everyone you meet. Remember, karma is real. Remain optimistic regardless of your situation!

Isn’t this a gorgeous dragon card? I love it!

I have been asked by Patty Fletcher to explain the dragon card for those who are not sighted and I am happy to oblige. This is the Air and Fire Dragon and he expands our creative energies. He is a beautiful combination of blues and oranges with a volcano erupting in front of him. His message: Harness your creativity, excitement, and enthusiasm. Communicate your passion.

Air and Fire Dragon. Expands your creative energies. Harness your creativity, excitement and enthusiasm. Communicate your passion.

#MotivationMonday – #Meditation – #TarotReading – #DragonOracleCard

Happy Monday! The temperatures here in Texas have soared into the triple digits and I find myself fighting lethargy. My A/C unit never shuts off and I keep my thermostat at 78 degrees. So, I’m looking for positive inspiration and motivation today! Boy, do I need to unplug!

I found this meditation to be energizing and hopefully you will too!

Now, for the tarot reading for the week.

The Queen of Cups is nurturing, caring, compassionate and sensitive. When you see her in a Tarot reading, you are embodying her ‘nurturing mother’ energy. You support others by listening with your heart, being compassionate, and caring for them deeply. The Queen of Cups says you are highly intuitive, creative, and in flow with the surrounding energies. In your interactions with others, you can easily read other people to get a sense of how to communicate effectively, enabling you both to feel heard and understood. In your creative projects and endeavors, you ‘feel’ your way into them, trusting your heart and your inner guidance to lead you in the right direction. You know when something is off, and you pay attention to this, even if it doesn’t make rational sense. Lead with your heart, not your head.

The Six of Pentacles is all about giving and receiving—sharing. Even if you are not financially wealthy, you offer up your time, energy, love, and support to those who are in need, knowing it will be appreciated. Giving of your time or your wisdom is often just as spiritually fulfilling as giving away money or gifts, and the intangible gift of your presence is received just as well, if not better. You may be on the receiving end of other people’s generosity and are advised to accept these gifts with gratitude. Finally, the Six of Pentacles is a card representing financial harmony. The amounts flowing in and out are in balance, and you are thankful for what you have and happy to share with others in need.

When the Queen of Pentacles appears in a Tarot reading, you are embodying the ultimate working parent archetype. You care for your family and domestic responsibilities while also making a living for yourself and creating financial abundance. You can maintain a healthy balance between home and work by integrating the two and finding your place of ‘flow’ and alignment. You strive to create a warm and secure environment for your family and loved ones while giving your love and support freely.  It is important to you to live independently, with a stable income, and with enough time and space to also nurture your loved ones. You may be trying to strike a better balance between your home and work lives, giving it your all in both domains. At the same time, you find time for yourself and prioritize ‘me’ time in between all of your other commitments.

MY TAKEAWAY:

With two queens in this week’s reading, there is a lot of strong feminine energy. I have always directly related to the Queen of Cups, tending to live from my heart and not my head. But, as with everything, it needs a balance and the Queen of Pentacles provides that with the harmony of the Six of Pentacles in between the two queens, giving and receiving. Let your heart lead you, share with others and stay grounded in the physical world. One of the most difficult things we have to do is find time to nurture ourselves (or at least I do) so I find this timely advice from the Queen of Pentacles also.

This beautiful emerald dragon fits right into the entire theme for this week. Enjoy!

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation #TarotReading #DragonOracleCard

Welcome to another Monday post. Today’s theme seems to be all about making choices.

The Tarot reading for the week ahead focuses on exposing darkness and illusions and celebrating!

The Devil card focuses on our shadow selves – the negative part of us we don’t want anyone to see, that holds us back from being the best version of ourselves. The Devil card often appears when you have been tricked into thinking you have no control over your shadow self or these negative forces and that you can never break free from their hold. When this card shows up in a reading, see it as an opportunity to bring these negative influences into your conscious awareness, so you can then take action to free yourself from their hold. Shine your light on the negative patterns that have been standing in your way for so long, and over time, you will loosen the grip they have on you.

The Moon can indicate a time of uncertainty and illusion—when nothing is what it seems. Be careful of making fast decisions when The Moon appears because you may later realize you only had half the information you needed. You need to listen to and trust your intuition so you can see beyond what is in front of you. Feel into situations rather than thinking about what they mean. Let go of your conscious mental blocks or negative self-talk and allow your intuition to guide you. Your dreams, intuitions, and inner guidance will lead you forward toward higher levels of understanding if you listen and use your judgment to help interpret the messages of the subconscious.

The Three of Cups is a card of celebration, friendship, sisterhood, and creative collaborations. Your friends and family are here to support you and lift you up to even higher levels of success. Celebrate with them and enjoy their camaraderie. The Three of Cups often indicates a very sociable period. This card also invites you to collaborate with others on a creative project and inspire one another to reach new heights. Collectively, you are working towards a common goal for the greater good of others. This is a very creative card, suggesting that you may pursue a creative outlet within a group environment.

MY TAKEAWAY:

When we think we have no control over our shadow selves, we get stuck in negative and destructive patterns. But we always have a choice, and if we listen to our intuition, choose the higher path, shine a light on the darkness, and let go of negativity, we get to enjoy a celebration of friendship, joy, and possibly creative collaborations.

And now for another lovely Dragon Card!

#MotivationMonday #Meditation #RuneReading #DragonoracleCard

Happy Monday! I don’t know about the weather where everyone is, but here in Texas, it’s triple digits this week. Very early for those kinds of temps. Here’s today’s inspiring quote. I love it!

inspiringquotes.com

Today’s meditation is effective and short. Enjoy!

I found myself drawn back to the Runes for this week’s reading. Here’s what I got.

Jera, in the first position, is the rune of harvest. It signifies that each season has a purpose, so it reminds us that attainment of goals often takes time. A seed planted in the spring must be given time to grow. And it can only be harvested at the proper time. Jera indicates that your efforts will be successful. If you have been dealing with adversity and obstacles, Jera is a welcome sign that troubles are receding. (Always good news, right?) In addition, Jera symbolizes the union of opposites, such as dawn and dusk and the liminal timelines between seasons. You are advised to acknowledge any adversity you are or have been experiencing will ultimately contribute to your growth. You are who you are because of the lessons life has taught you.

Hagalaz in the second position can indicate temporary delays that are beyond your control, such as the forces of nature or other circumstances that you cannot change. A good example that is relatable in the present day is computer issues. And with Mercury in retrograde, it is not uncommon for electronics to fail or to “act up.” However, these are temporary, and eventually, everything gets ironed out.

In the third position, Elhaz is the rune of defense and protection. It indicates you are safe from danger and have no need to fear. However, you are warned not to take this protection for granted. We still must do our due diligence and remain alert, clear-minded, and in touch with our intuition. By listening to our higher guidance, we will know which moves to make to stay out of harm’s way. Additionally, Elhaz may refer to an upcoming opportunity or quest. Usually, this involves one or more other people. As long as your intuition agrees, you are encouraged to go for it.

MY TAKEAWAY:

If you have been dealing with adversity or obstacles, take comfort in knowing the situation is indeed temporary and you are protected.

On a personal note, I have certainly been dealing with several issues that could be considered adversity or obstacles. When I made my trip to Missouri, I booked hotels through Travelocity. It seemed an easy way to do it all. However, when we arrived in Oklahoma the first night, the motel I had booked at said they had no rooms. Long story short, they charged me for the room, and I am fighting for a refund. This reading encourages me that it will come to a satisfactory conclusion. Lesson learned. Never book through a third party! I am involved in another difficult situation beyond my control. My publisher experienced a devastating hack of their website a few weeks ago, and email communication has been down since the hack. I am hoping for a resolution to that one as well.

Your turn!

I am thinking I may have drawn this Dragon Card before, but if so, it has turned up again. It’s gorgeous!!

#MotivationMonday – #Meditation #Rune #DragonCard

Happy Monday! This is the last week of April. Is it just me, or are the days flying by faster? Here’s the thought for the week.

Courtesy of Inspiring Quotes

The meditation I chose to share today is positive affirmations. We so often fall victims to negative self-talk and then wonder why we draw negative to ourselves. The best way to turn that around is to change the negative to positive and watch miracles happen!

I chose to draw one Rune for this week.

Raidho is the rune of travel, representing the physical wheel of a wagon. This rune indicates you are setting off on a journey, whether in the external world or on an emotional or spiritual level.

If your travel is physical, Raidho signals a pleasant experience with few or no mishaps. If you are going on a spiritual quest, the going may require significant flexibility on your part, but the rewards of reaching your destination will be well worth it, as you are following your soul’s chosen path. Either way, you are advised to keep your focus on the experience of the journey itself, rather than on your arrival. This is because Raidho signifies not just the vehicle you ride in, but the road you travel on. You will be best served by making the most of every moment along the way.

A related interpretation of Raidho is “reunion”—specifically the return of old friends in your life or even the arrival of new people with whom you’ve made a soul agreement before incarnating into this life.

Some runic systems also view Raidho as an indicator that now is a good time for negotiations or deliberations related to agreements with others.

Finally, sometimes Raidho is simply a reminder to align yourself with the “wheel of life.” Know that life has ups and downs, ebb and flow, and constant seasonal change. The contrast between opposites is part of the journey of life.

My Takeaway: If you are planning a physical journey, expect easy sailing and enjoyment. If you are taking a spiritual journey, know that you will need to be open and flexible but the rewards will be worth the effort.

Drawing this rune affected me deeply on a personal level as I am embarking on a journey to Missouri on Thursday evening to indulge in some research for my new book. Taking a side trip to Branson will bring some fun and enjoyment into it as well. I know I should never be surprised by a rune or card, but still, I often gasp in amazement!

Here’s another beautiful dragon card to share with you.
