I cannot thank everyone enough who traveled the world with me on the blog tour for Jagged Feathers! If you missed any of the stops, you can find them here.

I had the most amazing hosts and hostesses for this tour, and that’s just for starters. There were many of you who showed up at every stop. I am truly overwhelmed with the response. Overwhelmed in a good way, like with tears in my eyes!

(Ooops, sorry guys. Her post doesn’t go live until tomorrow.) I will blame it on exhaustion. 🙂 In the meantime, Marie Sinadjan is featuring an interview from me on her blog site today and I’d love for you to go over and visit. Marie is new on the blogging scene but is super supportive.

When I decided a few years ago to start blogging consistently, I only had a handful of followers and less than a handful of ideas to blog about. Now, I have a little over 10,000 followers and am never lacking for content. I’ve posted writing tips, marketing ideas, shared new releases from other authors, shared book reviews, supported blog tours, promoted indie music artists, shared personal stories, and incorporated my passion for all things metaphysical into my blog. So, now the process seems almost effortless. I recently experimented with a Facebook Passion Page, only to soon realize I did not have the time or energy to support or build up another page. So, I’ve transferred all of my passions to my blog. I am an avid reader, therefore love sharing reviews for the books I read. I get a thrill of supporting other authors with their new releases or tours. Exploring music history or sharing new music from indie artists brings me joy. But what gets me more excited than anything else I blog about are my Monday posts with a motivational meme, a meditation, either rune or tarot card reading and a beautiful dragon card. My hope is to bring inspiration to someone’s day. We live in tumultuous and challenging times. We need all the help we can get to stay positive. I’ve recently incorporated a regular Wednesday post about gemstones and their metaphysical properties that runs along that same vein. I want to make the world a better place through blogging! So, to celebrate my blogging journey and reaching 1,000 posts, I am going to give away some things. 🙂

I am happy to showcase another Wild Press author on my blog today! Folks, I have read this book and as you’ll see from my review, I enjoyed it immensely! But I’ll let Debby tell you about it.

I love both the ocean and mountains. I live near the ocean, and thankfully my cousins live a few hours away in North Carolina. The idea for Mountain Blaze came to me while we were all touring the area around Asheville, NC. It was Fall, and the spectacular display of color against the backdrop of the Smoky Mountains was breathtaking. We hiked a while and discovered a scenic overlook which revealed a stream winding through the valley below.

We came upon a small ranch with cabins to rent and horseback riding. As we waited for the horses to be saddled for a trail ride, my writer’s imagination replaced the nice older man with a handsome cowboy. Now, what would be his story? As we rode through the lush woods, the air fragrant with the smell of pine, Dillon McCoy took shape in my mind.

We drove down the mountain into Waynesville. This is a great little town where I discovered Mast General. A fun old-fashioned country store, this is one of my favorite places to shop. We decided to stop in a café, and while sipping a delicious cup of coffee, I noticed an attractive woman seated at an adjacent table. Her clothes were stylish. She looked as if she had just walked off Fifth Avenue. Once again, my writer’s imagination took over, and Diana Thompson was born. Now, what circumstances could bring the cowboy and the wealthy city girl together?

In all my books, I like to have some type of mystery. So not only do Diana and Dillon need to meet, they must discover what outside force is determined to keep them apart and endanger their lives.

But how long would it take for him to realize she was at the ranch?

Breathless, her hands and feet numb, she wiped tears from her cheeks. Stop it. You have to remain strong to survive. She gritted her teeth. Why had she changed from her sturdy boots to these fancy leather ones. She could almost hear Jenn now, “Girl, what’s the matter with you?”

None of this made any sense. What in the world was she doing lost in the woods in the snow running from a killer?

Sizzling romance, murder and blackmail Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2020 Verified Purchase.

Diana, a wealthy socialite with her entire life laid out ahead of her questions whether or not she is in love with her fiance, Trent. When a friend suggests a getaway to her family’s ranch, Diana is unprepared for the sparks that fly between her and Dillon McCoy, a rodeo cowboy. They could not be more opposite. I loved how this author took two flawed people and wove their lives together into an intricate web. This story has it all from sizzling romance to murder, blackmail, and cheating. I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what would happen to Diana and Dillon and whether they would confess their love for each other – that is if they lived long enough. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and will be picking up other novels from this author!

Dear God. His heart slammed harder. He’d died and gone to Heaven.

Harmony stretched her arms above her head and danced in the middle of the living room. Her hips pulsated with the beat of the music. Twisty locks of her hair bounced around her shoulders. She winked, then glided her hands across her breasts and stomach, daring his gaze to follow.

She nuzzled his neck, her breath fanning his skin. His hair prickled. The air crackled around them. He shuddered and held her tighter.

“I’ve missed this.”

His chest heaved. He struggled to fill his lungs with air. “Dancing?”

“Dancing with you.” Harmony stroked his clean-shaven jaw. “I’m sorry things didn’t work out with you and Susannah, but I wouldn’t trade this moment for anything.”

Oh, God. He kissed her and swept his tongue past her parting lips. Delicious. The taste of chocolate and wine clung to her breath. He nibbled and licked the smooth slope of her neck.

“Birley, yes.” She ducked her head and claimed his mouth with hers. Then she feathered kisses across his face. “I need your hands, your mouth, your scent all over me. Take me, Birley. Hard, soft, I don’t care.”

Fuck. Her breathy plea wrapped around his heart and shot blood to his groin. She eased back, drawing him with her. The wall halted her retreat, and he trapped her between it and his body. Their tongues dueled and teeth clanked. Heat sizzled through his veins and pulsed through every organ. Her body writhed against his. Was she trying to drive him mad? He snapped open the fasteners of her pants and slid his finger beneath the waistband of her insulated leggings. Silk brushed his skin, then he slipped into her warmth.

MY REVIEW:

I have read all the books in Sarah Stuart’s Royal Command Series, and until I read Sweet Temptation, my favorite of the series was the first book, Dangerous Liaisons.

Michael Marsh, the Diamond Superstar has millions of fans across the globe, but he’s lonely. When his wife, Lizzie, was murdered in front of him, his world shattered. He didn’t believe he could ever love again. That is until detective Evie Taylor, walked into his office. Thirty years his junior, it is a relationship destined to failure from the start. She’s been a fan and star struck by him since she was a teenager. So, when he asks her to move into Mere House with him, she’s ecstatic, but disillusioned when she is never invited to share his bed. She falls gravely ill and lies at death’s door in the hospital for months. That is when Michael realizes he cannot live without her. A hasty marriage in the hospital puts a diamond ring on her finger, but still she is riddled with doubt. How can Michael love her when she is so near death and disgustingly thin? The many skeletons in Michael Marsh’s closet come out and with the help of Evie’s evil and jealous mother, she is convinced the marriage is only a farce and meant to take the heat off Michael when The Spy reports damaging lies about incest and physical abuse in the tabloids. Add Michael’s teenage daughter, Greta, into the mix and the plot thickens. Greta allows herself to become a victim of a sex trafficking ring when she turns to a chat room to ease her own loneliness. She is jealous of Evie and the hours Michal spends at the hospital and convinces herself that her family doesn’t love her. The author did a superb job of getting inside the mind of a typical teenager. But, the danger is real and if not for Greta’s fierce determination, she would have been another statistic.

One of the reasons I loved this story so much is that Michael Marsh redeemed himself. By that I mean, that he had to, for once in his life, think of someone other than himself. The hours he spent with no food and no sleep to sit by Evie’s bedside as she battled to live and fight incessant nightmares put him in a different light. It showed a compassionate caring side of the Diamond Superstar that we had not seen in the other books. 

If you love dysfunctional family drama, suspense, and conflict, you are going to love Sweet Temptation. Sarah Stuart did an amazing job with all the characters, delving deep into their psyche. As a last word, I also have to give her kudos for the detailed way she depicted Evie’s nightmares that haunted her as she lay in a coma. Only someone who had experienced these could write about them in such vivid detail.
