Thank you, Jan, for inviting me to share my new book with your followers. I am deeply grateful.

TURNING BITS OF MY LIFE INTO FICTION

Wild Horse Peaks is a four-book romantic suspense series set in Arizona, my home state, with the sequel set in Austria, a country I loved visiting. The characters in each book are either related or friends. The stories follow twisty paths of danger and suspense: a search to learn about birth parents who died…or were murdered, a mystery writer stalked by someone acting out her murder scenes, a politically driven madman chasing the last member of a family, her rockstar boyfriend, and a good old western land grab turned nasty. The sequel is an Austrian fairytale turned nightmare. And in the midst of all the mayhem—love

Each book holds a piece of my life. I think authors often weave in facets of themselves into their stories. The Art of Love and Murder has a Native American thread (I’m proud of my Indian blood) and a tie to the art community (my first idea for a career and why I went to college). In the second book, Southwest of Love and Murder, the heroine is a lusty, free-spirited author (my alter-ego). The hero in The Power of Love and Murder is a rocker and just might resemble my son years back, while one of the hero’s exploits is taken from the pages of my brother’s life. In the fourth book of the series, The Deep Well of Love and Murder, the only tie to the real me is the dog, Perro. He looks like my beloved Rusty, who died a few years ago.

Although the books are all connected, you can read them as standalones.

The Art of Love and Murder, Wild Horse Peaks book 1

A woman searching for her past. A sheriff hiding in his present. Their future together threatened by murder.

Forty-three years after the airplane crash she survived killed her parents, Lacy Dahl is looking for answers. When her research uncovers secrets about the mother she never knew and disputes the identity of her father, someone is willing to murder to keep her discoveries hidden.

Sheriff Chance Meadowlark is still haunted by the death of his wife and the revenge he unleashed in the name of justice. When he meets Lacy, he is determined not to become involved, but their pasts make that impossible. Saving Lacy may be his only redemption.

Just as she begins to believe the present is more important than her past, Chance’s connection and a murder spin her deeper into danger and further from love. When the truth is revealed, will the revelations free Lacy and Chance…or destroy them?

And I can’t think of a better place to end the tour than with Erika Kind. Her name says it all. She is one of the kindest souls I’ve encountered in the blogosphere. She shares uplifting posts that always make my day a little brighter. If you’re not subscribed to her blog, I highly recommend you do that when you visit. Her Daily Kind quotes are wonderful.

And she has a book that I have not yet read, but it’s on my TBR list.

Today, we get to visit two places.

Marlena Smith Burris is a long-time friend and one of the nicest women you could ever want to meet. She never has an unkind word to say about anyone. She is positive all the way. And she is an author. Her most recent release is a novella, The Power of Love.

Blurb: She only wants a fresh start and a life away from the big city.

Scarlet finds herself in the small town of Belmont, Montana. It’s a quiet town with a lot of charm. One she didn’t expect to fall in love with, but it offers something magical.

Will her past catch up to her? Will she be forced back into the life she hates? Will she risk everything for a chance at love?

The next stop today is at fellow Wild Rose Press Author, Darlene Fredette‘s blog site. I recently featured Darlene’s newest release, Derailed Hearts, here on my blog, and in case you missed it, you can find it HERE.

Isn’t that a fabulous book cover? It makes me want to grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up with the book.

I’d be honored if you’d pick up these books today, then head on over to the blog posts!

Saddled Hearts #BlogTour #Giveaway #ScavengerHunt @wildrosepress

Only three more days of this tour. It has been amazing visiting with so many folks along the way and the wonderful lady who is hosting me today is someone I greatly admire. Annette Rochelle Aben. She is a communicator, wordSmith, artist, guide, mentor, muse, and one heck of a poet. I love her daily Angel Messages. They are always uplifting.

And for the entire month of November, she is featuring an “Attitude of Gratitude” post daily. What are you grateful for?

One of her most recent books, Tell Me A Story in 99 Words, is such a compelling read!

Here’s my Review:

I’ve been a fan of Annette Rochelle Aben’s poetry for quite a few years, and when I saw she had published a book of flash fiction, I knew I was in for a treat. And a treat it is! Anyone who is a writer knows what a challenge it is to write a story in 99 words. The writing has to be concise and tight, and that is exactly what Ms. Aben managed to do. I found stories with humor, satire, wisdom, the complexity of the human mind, and family. A few stood out to me personally as favorites. “Advancement” is so insightful about a strong woman, as is “Eyes Forward.” “Bedfellows” is such a realistic story about a girl with too many brothers and an abusive father. “Cash For Cars” moved me. “Drops In The Bucket” relates the daily grind cycle in which rewards are small. I’d venture to say there is a story for everyone in this collection. It’s a quick, easy read and is so well-written. I highly recommend this book.

So grab your copy and meet me at Annette’s place!

It’s a pleasure today to make a stop at the blog site of Stephen Geez. Did you know Mr. Geez is a retired TV producer as well as a composer/producer of music for television? He is a man of many talents and heads up Fresh Ink Publishing. His work includes novels, short fiction, personal-experience essays, blogs, GeezWriter How-To material for authors, podcasts, video scripts, marketing content, and more.

He, along with Beem Weeks, also hosts a weekly podcast featuring authors from around the globe. I’ve been lucky enough to be a guest on their show a couple of times, with this being the most recent.

I’d love for you to take a look at the amazing catalog of Stephen Geez, pick up a book or two, then meet us over at his blog!

It’s Monday and the start of a new week of touring. I have to offer up a huge Thank You to everyone who has followed along. I hope you’ve had fun!

Today we are visiting at Linnea Tanner‘s place. I met Linnea many years ago through a book club and loved the first book in her multi-award-winning Apollo’s Raven series and loved it. She has the unique ability to transport the reader back to Medieval times and put you in the middle of all the action. And, she has a new book just added to the series, Skull’s Vengance.

A Celtic warrior queen must do the impossible—defeat her sorcerer half-brother and claim the throne. But to do so, she must learn how to strike vengeance from her father’s skull.

So, once you’ve grabbed your copy, saddle up your pony and ride on over to Linnea’s! See you there!

Today, we are going to give our ponies a little break and take a short jaunt over into east Texas for a visit with another long-time friend and fabulous author, Joan hall!

I recently had the distinct pleasure of meeting Joan in person. How rare is that in our huge online community? I loved it. Can you tell Joan is a die-hard Beatles fan?

But I digress. I want to mention Joan’s Monday blog posts which are always mysterious and compelling AND her latest books! The first thing I loved about the Legends of Madeira series is the setting in Northern New Mexico, one of my favorite places to visit. The second and most compelling thing about these books is the mystery that unravels in dual time periods. I highly suggest you start with the first book, House of Sorrow. Then follow that up with Cold Dark Night.

I can promise you won’t be disappointed. Okay, let’s roll! See you at Joan’s place!

Today we are going to take our ponies to northern California for a visit with one of my longtime friends and fellow colleague at Story Empire, D.L. Finn.

I can’t remember how long I’ve known her, but it’s been more than a few years. We share a lot of things in common—a love for poetry, all things metaphysical, angels who watch over us, grandchildren, reading, and Harleys. 🙂 It’s been many years since I got to experience the freedom of riding on the back of a Harley, so I live that vicariously through D.L.

She is not only a friend but a talented writer. Her latest paranormal book was entertaining and thought-provoking. I found myself thinking, “What if?” If you haven’t read A Voice In The Silence, I highly recommend it!

Got your copy? Okay, let’s ride. See you at Denise’s place!
