Welcome to another Monday filled with motivation for a great week ahead!

I found this short meditation to be uplifting and a great start to my day!

I was drawn back to the Runes for this week’s reading.

The rune in the first position (past) is Gifu also known as Gebo. It is the rune of gifts and generosity. Primarily it signifies an exchange between people that necessarily results in a connection between the giver and receiver. It can represent both tangible and intangible gifts, such as emotional support. This rune invites you to accept wholeheartedly, and with gratitude, the gifts that are presented to you. At the same time, you are encouraged to consider your own giving. Are you reciprocating sufficiently to honor what you’ve received? Gifu can also refer to gifts from the higher realms, particularly in the context of skills and talents. Perhaps you’ve discovered a new passion you have a natural ability for.

Mannaz sits in the second or present position. It is the rune of humankind and symbolizes the characteristics that set humans apart from the rest of Earth’s living creatures, the ability to create for the sake of creativity itself. This rune reminds us we are all a part of a shared experience among all humans. Mannaz can also represent the self, with particular emphasis on one’s inner being. In keeping with the flow of Gifu, Mannaz also symbolizes assistance from others. Its shape evokes a sense of mutual support, of two individuals coming together to stabilize each other. Be sure to remain open to accepting help from others at this time as well as being willing to lend a helping hand if needed.

In the third (future) position, Perthro reminds us to remain vigilant for the truth behind any matter. Things are not always as they seem on the surface. You are advised to pay attention to the signs and signals your intuition is picking up on. Under the auspice of this rune, it is a great time to pursue any esoteric interests. If you’ve been struggling with a stubborn conundrum, Perthro advocates going within to find the answers you seek. Clearing your mind allows the enlightenment you need to arise naturally, without effort. Trust the mysteries of the unknown. All will be revealed in due time.

MY TAKEAWAY:

Giving and receiving are a natural flow in life. Many of us struggle with receiving, yet are able to give freely. When it is not equally reciprocated, it throws everything out of balance. And, as always, the deepest truth lies deep within each of us. With a clear mind, we can easily access these truths. I hope this sets the tone for the week ahead. Giving and receiving equally create a comfortable balance and in that balance, we can more easily access our truth!

And now for our beautiful little Dragon inspiration, which flows quite nicely with the rune reading.

Happy Monday! I don’t know about the weather where everyone is, but here in Texas, it’s triple digits this week. Very early for those kinds of temps. Here’s today’s inspiring quote. I love it!

Today’s meditation is effective and short. Enjoy!

I found myself drawn back to the Runes for this week’s reading. Here’s what I got.

Jera, in the first position, is the rune of harvest. It signifies that each season has a purpose, so it reminds us that attainment of goals often takes time. A seed planted in the spring must be given time to grow. And it can only be harvested at the proper time. Jera indicates that your efforts will be successful. If you have been dealing with adversity and obstacles, Jera is a welcome sign that troubles are receding. (Always good news, right?) In addition, Jera symbolizes the union of opposites, such as dawn and dusk and the liminal timelines between seasons. You are advised to acknowledge any adversity you are or have been experiencing will ultimately contribute to your growth. You are who you are because of the lessons life has taught you.

Hagalaz in the second position can indicate temporary delays that are beyond your control, such as the forces of nature or other circumstances that you cannot change. A good example that is relatable in the present day is computer issues. And with Mercury in retrograde, it is not uncommon for electronics to fail or to “act up.” However, these are temporary, and eventually, everything gets ironed out.

In the third position, Elhaz is the rune of defense and protection. It indicates you are safe from danger and have no need to fear. However, you are warned not to take this protection for granted. We still must do our due diligence and remain alert, clear-minded, and in touch with our intuition. By listening to our higher guidance, we will know which moves to make to stay out of harm’s way. Additionally, Elhaz may refer to an upcoming opportunity or quest. Usually, this involves one or more other people. As long as your intuition agrees, you are encouraged to go for it.

MY TAKEAWAY:

If you have been dealing with adversity or obstacles, take comfort in knowing the situation is indeed temporary and you are protected.

On a personal note, I have certainly been dealing with several issues that could be considered adversity or obstacles. When I made my trip to Missouri, I booked hotels through Travelocity. It seemed an easy way to do it all. However, when we arrived in Oklahoma the first night, the motel I had booked at said they had no rooms. Long story short, they charged me for the room, and I am fighting for a refund. This reading encourages me that it will come to a satisfactory conclusion. Lesson learned. Never book through a third party! I am involved in another difficult situation beyond my control. My publisher experienced a devastating hack of their website a few weeks ago, and email communication has been down since the hack. I am hoping for a resolution to that one as well.

Your turn!

I am thinking I may have drawn this Dragon Card before, but if so, it has turned up again. It’s gorgeous!!

Welcome to the beginning of another new week. Today’s meditation is designed to bring a deep sense of peace and well-being.

Here is the Rune Reading for the upcoming week.

It is hard to tell from the photo, but the rune in the first position on the left is Tiwaz or Tir, the arrow. It represents courage, victory, strength, passion, and masculine energy. It indicates that you may have recently taken up a cause and are ready to fight for what you believe in. It is a rune of extreme motivation, showing a strength of will and a singleness of mind that can enable you to overcome all odds.

In the middle or present position is Uruz, another rune of strength, health, power, and energy. You have the strength to persevere through any challenge as well as defend yourself against adversaries. If you are pursuing a dream, this rune suggests that there is enough momentum behind you to bring it into manifested form. Summon your connection to divine energy and trust that you will be guided to channel your personal power toward a positive outcome.

In the last or future position is Mannaz, the rune that represents humanity. This rune reminds us that we are part of a shared experience among all humans, no matter our specific language, physical appearance, or beliefs. Oftentimes, this rune is pointing to some aspect of tension in the relationship between your inner self and your perceived place in the outer world. You may be feeling at odds with the attitudes and expectations of society.

My Takeaway:

With two runes that indicate power and strength, there is no doubt we are capable of handling whatever might come our way. And we should never separate ourselves from our fellow human travelers. We are all in this game together and it is easy these days to feel at odds with the attitudes and expectations of society.

What a gorgeous Dragon card for springtime!

Wow! This entire reading was just for me. I am in the process of putting together the presentation to honor Rick and his music for The Western Film Festival and am struggling with technology I need to successfully create a video with clips from the very early sixties of him and his band. I managed to take the clips off a VCR tape to a DVD and that’s as far as I got. When I tried to download it to my computer, it tells me there is nothing on the disc and yet it will play on the DVD player, so I know it’s there. However, I will persevere! I have the power and strength to figure it out. And, as the Dragon card says, I need to stay balanced and ground my visions while manifesting my hopes and dreams!

Have a great week!

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #RuneReading #DragonOracleCard

The theme for this week is all about manifesting desires, and it couldn’t be more timely for me. I have been invited to participate in The Western Film Festival in Coleman, Tx. on the 22nd to do a presentation in honor of Rick and his music career. This came out of the blue, as do a lot of opportunities.

My deepest and truest desire is to see our story made into a movie.

This is such a powerful meditation. Short, but strong!

Drawn to the runes for this week, the three that showed up astounded me.

Thurisaz is basically related to aspects of protection. It’s shape, a thorn on a branch, symbolizes the wisdom of choosing a defensive stance rather than rushing in when faced with an adversary. Consider this rune to be a friendly but stern warning to alert to potential danger. It also advises you to be mindful of your motives. Avoid opportunities that bring reward through deceit or dishonesty, remembering that what goes around comes around. In a strongly positive runecast (which I perceive this one to be) Thurisaz can indicate a powerful force of protection, luck and good health.

Othala has shown up for us before and is the final rune in the Elder Futhark. It is the rune of possessions and usually represents the things that money can buy. Often Othala can indicate that an aspect of your current situation is related to your background — perhaps unconscious beliefs you absorbed as a child or some other element that shaped your upbringing. This rune encourages a down-to-earth attitude in life. Othala also can represent family and encourages you to lean on them for emotional support.

The Wunjo rune is the one I chose to use in my White Rune Series. It signifies a happy-ever-after ending to a situation or dilemma. It is the rune of joy. Situations that have been difficult are resolved and optimism is renewed. It may be that a surprise development comes into your life that changes everything for the better. Bliss and harmony are present, and consistently so, when we take a balanced approach to life.

My Takeaway:

Analyze any situation you may find yourself in and take a defensive stance knowing you are protected, especially when the situation involves money or family. The outcome is one of joy and bliss when taking the high road.

Your thoughts?

I know I say this every week, but this may be my favorite Dragon card so far! Just gorgeous, and how well it fits with the rune reading!

#MondayMotivation – #Meditation – #RuneReading #DragonOracleCard

Good Monday Morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! As we look at the week ahead, I see an overarching theme beginning with the quote.

Created in Canva

The meditation I chose to share today is different and was extremely powerful for me. Do you believe we have a team that assists us from other dimensions? Regardless of your beliefs, I think you’ll find this meditation to be amazing.

Returning to the Runes for reading this week, I am struck once again with the accuracy of what comes up.

Anytime the Wunjo symbol comes up in a reading, I get excited as this is the symbol I chose to use in my entire White Rune Series. It is a very positive rune and translates to joy and harmony, especially in regard to relationships. How appropriate for Valentine’s Day! One thing this rune reminds us of is the importance of focusing on the positive. When we focus on the negative, it brings more negative into our lives. It is the Law of Attraction. If you find yourself feeling down or out of sorts, take a step back and look at what you are focusing on. Remember, thoughts are as powerful as actions and words. Sometimes we need to readjust our thinking.

Perthro sitting in the middle of this reading indicates mystery, secrets, or things hidden. It may indicate that things are not as they appear outwardly and that perhaps something previously unknown is about to be revealed. This could be a secret you or someone else is keeping, or it may indicate a spiritual truth. If you’ve been wrestling with a stubborn conundrum, Perthro may be signaling the need to go within to find the answers you seek. Spent time in meditation, go for a long walk, or find other ways to attune with the Universal energies.

In the final position, Fehu most often concerns money or other moveable wealth. It is an indication of general abundance and rewards. It may indicate that a financial boost is coming your way. Or it may indicate good health, plenty of food, and love. Abundance comes in many forms. The main message here is to give thanks for what you have and share your good fortune with others.

My Takeaway:

Focus on positive loving energy, seek unknown truths and share your bounty with others, whether this is physically or energetically. A smile can go a long way toward brightening someone’s day.

On a more personal note, if you are fortunate enough to still have a physical partner in life, make sure they know how much you appreciate them.

This may be my favorite Dragon Oracle Card so far! Just stunning!

The theme this week seems to be focused on patience. I loved this quote from Warren Buffett.

Created in Canva

Here’s a wonderful short meditation to give a focused and positive start to the day and week.

I was drawn back to the runes today for a reading. It’s been a while.

The rune in the past position is Perthro (Perdhro). It is considered to be the most mysterious of all the runes as scholars cannot agree on a clear meaning. In a rune cast, this rune often indicates something hidden that is about to come to light. It can also indicate that things are not as they seem. Perthro is associated with divination and the use of the runes as a means of discovering hidden knowledge. You are advised to pay attention to the signs and signals your intuition is picking up on.

In the middle, we have Ansuz which is the rune of communication, especially verbal. Messages, advice, or new information may be coming from external sources. Or, perhaps you are being asked to pay closer attention to the messages coming from your higher self. This certainly plays off the first rune about something which is hidden coming to light.

In the future position is Elhaz, which is the rune of defense and protection. It has a built-in protective force that discourages negative influences from affecting your personal experience. You are safe from danger but don’t take that for granted by being reckless with your actions. The strong message from this rune is, as long as you stay clear-minded, alert, and in touch with your intuition, you are headed for a positive outcome.

My Takeaway:

Not everything about a situation is known but if we pay attention and stay focused the truth will come to light and possibly in the form of communication, whether it be verbal or written. We are protected and can expect a positive outcome if we stay alert and clear.

And here’s another fabulous Dragon Oracle Card.

The weeks are flying by! Am I the only one feeling that?

Today’s meditation takes us into a circle of stones, but not just any kind of stone, different gemstones, and crystals. I was drawn to the Shungite stone, which interestingly enough, I do not own. I took it as a sign. I will be purchasing a Shungite stone soon to add to my collection. Enjoy the meditation! I’d love to know which stone you are drawn to.

The reading for the week comes from the Runes. I found the message to be compelling and energizing!

Photo taken by Jan Sikes 11-8-21

The first rune, Gifu or Gebo, in the past position, represents a gift of some kind. The gift may be material or emotional but given in love. It can also represent some type of partnership. Often this rune will appear when there is about to be relief from your troubles (another form of a gift). It usually indicates a time of peace and contentment.

In the present position, Ingwaz represents a strong force available to you to complete any project. It signifies a project coming to an end and a new one beginning. It can also indicate that you are reaching your full potential in the moment. That doesn’t mean we stop learning or growing because that is a continual process, but it comes in ebbs and flows. Life is made up of beginnings and endings – cycles. This is a most positive rune.

The keyword to the rune in the last position, Jera, is harvest. Reaping rewards for efforts expended is the general meaning. In the result position, Jera usually shows a positive outcome to any dilemma at hand. This fits perfectly with the other two runes. As always, we have to do the work, but then we get to enjoy the rewards of our efforts. And we should.

My takeaway:

As the quote from Richard Bach says, if we are given a dream, we are also given what we need to bring it to fruition. I see a dream or idea as Gifu, the gift. And with the Ingwaz following the gift, the energy needed to bring that dream to life is there for the taking. Then, we get to reap the rewards of our efforts. So, go on and dream! Then be willing to do the work to make that dream come true!

The Dragon Card for this week is stunning!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #RuneReading #DragonCard

This is the last week in October. It is a time when the veil between worlds thins. Let’s take advantage of that!

Instead of sharing a meditation today, I am sharing a ten-minute affirmation exercise. Affirmations are powerful and can cause a big shift in our mindset.

I was drawn back to the runes for today’s reading.

This is the second time I’ve gotten the Othala Rune in a reading. That tells me there is an important message. You may remember that Othala represents our heritage or our roots. This is in the past position and that tells me we are perhaps all leaning more toward tradition, looking back to our early and basic teachings. The caution is not to hang onto old ways of thinking that no longer serve us. We may be inclined to lean on family for support or perhaps to give support to another.

The second rune in the present position is Ansuz and is the rune of communication. It represents all forms of communication, but especially verbal. It may indicate that an important message or revelation is coming your way. This rune also refers to knowledge, wisdom, and reason.

In the future position, Dagaz, is the rune of daylight and is considered a very beneficial sign in any reading. Increase, growth, prosperity, strength, good health, and general well-being are indicated by this rune. It can represent new hope, light emerging from darkness. Or it could also indicate a breakthrough, insight, or inspiration, whether on an artistic creative level or in terms of spiritual enlightenment.

My takeaway:

Often in turbulent times, we find ourselves reaching backward to our original roots, or bonding more with family. There is no disputing that we are living in turbulent times. It is more important than ever before that we lean on each other and embrace our basic truths. With Ansuz, it is saying that we have the ability to express ourselves in this truth and that it may help bring about some light, a breakthrough, or inspiration, whether in ourselves or others.

This gorgeous Dragon Card reinforces that thought!

Have a great week ahead!

Monday #Motivation #Meditation #RuneReading #DragonCard

This week’s theme seems to be about creativity and ways to let that energetic exchange flow.

I was drawn back to the runes this week for a reading and chose to use my set of moonstone runes.

The first rune in the past position is actually the last rune in the Elder Futhark alphabet, Othala. If you remember from our rune study, this rune represents our heritage, tradition, or family ties. Perhaps we are being encouraged to revisit our roots, our deepest ingrained beliefs. Othala can represent maintaining a status quo, the way things have always been done. In an ever-changing world, however, it’s up to us to distinguish between what is useful to hang onto and what needs to be discarded so that you can live and grow in your own authenticity.

The rune in the present position is Mannaz and symbolizes humanity. It represents the characteristics that set humans apart from the rest of Earth’s living creatures—the ability to create for the sake of creativity itself. It can also indicate the need to either ask for or give support or assistance.

The rune in the future position is Eihwaz, which you might remember symbolizes the yew tree (both death and regeneration). It can indicate an ending that will lead to a new beginning. Maybe you’ve come to the end of a project and looking forward to the next. Or, you may find yourself needing to leave behind old ways to make way for new and more authentic ways of living. Again, it goes back to the first rune and doing things the ways we always have while expecting something to change. It won’t happen.

My takeaway from this reading:

It is time to step strongly into our own truth, separate from perhaps the way our parents taught us to live and grow into our higher selves. When we do that, the energetic flow of creativity increases and it’s always okay to ask for assistance or offer help when you see someone struggling. Once we reach an ending, there is always a new beginning. If we want to bring about change, we have to start with ourselves.

I love this dragon card for the week. While the theme started out with creativity, it ends with change. Perhaps the two are connectively intertwined.

Have a great week!

Welcome to the start of another week. With so much heartache in the world, it’s impossible not to feel it. But as with every post, I strive to find something positive to uplift. I ran across this quote in one of my journals recently. I don’t remember when I wrote it, but I do remember the profound realization of what freedom truly is, and we ALL have it regardless of outside circumstances! So, the meditation I’m sharing today is all about tuning into positive loving energy.

This is my second attempt at doing a Rune Cast and I felt a little more comfortable with it. I burned the Palo Santo Wood and Sweetgrass to cleanse the area from anything my ego might try to interject. I used the runes I made this time.

The rune in the past position is Kenaz. It represents a torch, beacon or fire. On a metaphysical level, this represents the light of knowledge or enlightenment. It can indicate a breakthrough of some sort. Perhaps seeing a situation in a different light and in a gentle way. It is the rune of the artist and craftsman and is useful when creativity is needed. It also governs the technical aspect of magic. Some say it can represent a fresh start.

How strange that the blank rune WYRD has shown up so early in the readings. 🙂 The Universe is challenging me. So here goes. WYRD is a relative to the word karma and takes its meaning from the runes surrounding it. It operates on a completely separate dimension than the other runes and can often indicate in a reading that the situation is in God’s hands. It shows that what is destined to be cannot be avoided.

The third rune is Ingwaz and represents the male aspect of Mother Earth. When found in the outcome position of a rune reading, it indicates a successful outcome. Whatever is propelling you forward at the moment, Ingwaz is acknowledging and confirming that the energy behind it is potent and heading for substantial results. It is a very positive rune.

My takeaway:

Perhaps we are given the opportunity to see a situation or creative project in a new light, understanding that destiny and Karma come into play throughout life and that part is totally out of our control. With Ingwaz in the outcome position, what is coming is all good!

And the Dragon Card confirms that message!

Also, just a reminder to all the gemstone lovers, tonight is a powerful full moon and there is no better way to charge your stones than putting them out under the moon’s rays!
